Review 1：I loved the young man at reception, he was really helpful and special. The bobotie spring rolls were divine too. The amenities are pretty awesome. Great, easy to find location. It all the little things that count, making it a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Review 2：We were so surprised at the easy access from the N1, the pleasing looks of the hotel,the security,the interesting decorations,the pleasant staff ,everything one expects after the harsh journey from Cape Town,The thoughtfulness for a traveler in the bedroom.We did this journey for 20 years now and tried hotels, guest houses lodges with disappointment and sometimes horror. The menu just what you need being tired and not fussy .about an extensive menu.We are in our seventies and the children voices were not heard. What a gem. Thank you we will be back. Dr and Mrs W.S. Review 6：The restaurant performed way below our expectations. I ordered a baby spinach salad which was delivered with normal row spinach (basically you can't eat it). When I complained they said they ran out of stock. Even the chef came to excuse for that. The worst part of the story that even though I sent the salad back and they accepted my complaint it was charged on the bill. We had to complain again to get it cancelled. They also ran out of all chef specials, except the chicken stir fry (we were one of the first guests for dinner, I assume they did not have any specials at all, although they advertise it). The ran out of the house white wine as well. The waiter tried to do his best, but it does not help much if you can't order from the menu due to stock outages. Other than the fruit salad (which was nice and fresh) and tramenzinis I would not recommend anything else. I think it is a better option to go to a proper restaurant instead. The breakfast buffett is 110 ZAR per person (no option for kids) and the coffee included is really poor. When I asked for an espresso, they said I have to pay additionally. Don't waste money on this breakfast, unless you are really in a need. You can have a much nicer breakfast elsewhere for that price! I was also disappointed, that there is no pool in the hotel, even 3 star lodges have a pool in the same area.

Review 11：The reception was lovely and the staff friendly. After a long day on the road the accommodation was comfortable, clean and of great style. We had a family room with a king sized bed and 2 bunk beds. Definitely deserves the 4 stars. If we had to stay in Bloemfontein we would be back in a heart beat.

Review 14：Food not on 4-star standard. Waited more than an hour for supper, after ordering. Sent beef burger back - no bacon, no onions, etc - as per the menu. Waited another 40 minutes for the replacement burger. Restaurant was not even busy.

Review 24：Room 31 that we stayed in is next to the restaurant and public restrooms. Hence, the cleaning/kitchen staff were noisy and walking past our bedroom window which was distracting.

Staff were disinterested in our comments.The was load music coming from the next property. The supersized bed made the room cramped. The bed and pillows were hard and already sagging.The duvet was on backwards. Shower tap handle fell off and the water did not run a way. Calling it the Bali hotel was far fetched given a minimal Bali decor.

Review 28：Rooms are really small. Had an executive king room and they could not give me a bigger room other than a family suite. The TV is so small that you cannot see it from the second bed. The size of the beds and room was my only concern. Found the previous guest's Coke and food in the fridge.

Review 38：The set-up of the court-yard is a bit strange in relation to the location of the rooms. My wife and I (with our 7yr old daughter) were in a room above the court-yard and we were kept up till past 11pm or so by the buzzling conversations of other guests that were still having late night conversation and drinks below. Upon checkout, I was surprised by the lack of friendliness by the staff. We greeted first, and then I got back one responds/greeting from the lady that assisted us with the check-out documents. The other 2 ladies did not bother to greet. I remember one staff member sitting behind the desk putting on make-up instead of a good morning greeting. The other elderly lady pacing up and down also with a lack of greeting. Not sure if this is standard practice? My wife mentioned that whilst I was replacing my flat tyre after checkout, the older lady staff member was standing at the door and observed me changing my wheel. She turned around and went back inside. She did not offer any form of assistance or asked if we were ok. Will definitely not visit Villa Bali Hotel again. The place that we stayed at earlier that week was superb in all aspects.

Review 58：I am writing after our stay in the hotel the past weekend. On arrival there was a problem with our booking. The Villa Bali team addressed this in a kind, professional and generous manner. While sorting out the matter, they served us complimentary coffees and afterwards insisted that we stay for free!! What could easily have been disastrous turned into a must visit again experience. Thanks again and well done! The team has set a new standard on how to deal with a sticky situation.

Review 68：My booking confirmation bill was R1340, but we ended up paying R18??,maybe because of my request of the romantic turndown, which was fine . however and I was totally disappointed that we had to pay for the breakfast , which we decided not to have there after a great evening of pampering, The reason was because it was booked online....! Review 70：Room was dusty. TV stand had not been dusted for a while. Bathroom lacks a shelve or cabinet to pack your toiletries. Manager on duty upon my arrival was not very helpful. I made a request for a late checkout which he summarily dismissed.
