Reviews for Arbor Inn and Suites
Review 1:The Arbor Inn is my favorite place to stay when I'm in Lubbock. Staff is always friendly, the hotel is always clean, and the rooms have all the amenities I need. Love, love, love the Arbor Inn!
Review 2:We did not realize when we booked the hotel that it was pet friendly. This is not a plus for us as I am allergic to dogs and cats. We probably won't be back. That is unfortunate because we really liked the hotel.
Review 3:The hotel was beautiful. The staff was very friendly.
Review 4:We ALWAYS stay at Arbor Inn and Suites when visiting Lubbock due the excellence in all areas of the facility, pricing and staff. Additionally, the location is very central to just about everything.
Review 5:I had to change rooms because the one I was staying in started beeping and the cost of the room was a little to expensive.
Review 6:The staff was very friendly.
Review 7:I had a King suite. I took this room because of the kitchen. What I'm disappointed n is that there were no kitchen essentials- plates, flatware, glasses, or pans of any sort. Why have a kitchen when u can't utilize it? If u had this the room would be worth the extra money that I paid.
Review 8:Nice comfy bed.
Review 9:Do not like that smoking is permitted in pool area or in outside areas where everyone congregates. Also all three days our beds were pulled up and tucked in but that was it. Beds were never completed made and finished off. Just walked in from shopping each day to what felt like an unfinished room.
Review 10:Rooms are very spacious and perfect for our group. Loved the pool area even though rains from previous week had left a big cleanup that was still being worked out. Nice patio area outside just off breakfast area. Really had a pleasant stay with my girlfriends just relaxing and shopping.
Review 11:The comforter is too heavy for summer. A blanket optional would be more comfortable. Polyester pillows are a passe. They also retain heat and give no neck support. It's too bad the pool is on the exterior. The summer in Texas is very hot and weather can be unpredictable. It would give access to the pool year round, hot or cold.
Review 12:Staff was wonderful and very accommodating.
Review 13:Hallways really smelled weird, & I could hear the loud couple in the next room having sex all night so I didn't get much sleep.
Review 14:Beautiful hotel. Clean, large room. Pet friendly. Staff was helpful.
Review 15:The breakfast area was well stocked and very nice. However, we really watch our carbs and there was nothing there for us to eat. Our kids were disappointed in the offerings so we went ahead and paid to eat somewhere else. The breakfast is great for people who don't avoid carbs -- biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, juices, etc. It was all set up very neatly, but again, wasn't good for our particular diets.
Review 16:The room was awesome, we loved the sitting area, the spacious bed room, the amazingly soft and comfy beds, the makeup area, and the bathroom. The pool is really nice, too bad the weather didn't cooperate for very long. My son said he enjoyed the hot tub until a bunch of water bugs came parading across and were getting into the water with him.
Review 17:The were to soft. Did not support like I would have liked.
Review 18:1st the fact that we can travel with our small dog and stay at a quality place is very nice. Everything was really just a great experience
Review 19:Nothing to complain about this place is great:)
Review 20:Loved our stay! What a find.We have been traveling for a month throughout the southwest. This has been the nicest most comfortable stay. Rooms suites are huge, comfortable, clean, offer every needed amenity and don't feel like a cookie cutter hotel. Loved the workout room and pet friendly policy without questions! The beds were so comfortable we got a great nights sleep.Breakfast was ample would definately love to stay here again. Staff was professional and friendly.
Review 21:1. WiFi wasn't working. 2. Owner refused to acknowledge a Power of Attorney document (I was conducting business on behalf of my disabled father, who gave me his credit card to use to cover related expenses) and when I asked the owner/manager if he knew what a POA was, he replied with "I know what credit card fraud is, which I'm preventing!" He essentially accused me of credit card fraud. This hotel will never get any more business from me, I'm a business owner and I would *never* treat customers that way.
Review 22:Newer construction, nice room. Good breakfast.
Review 23:The commode was a power flush commode and I t was extremely noisy.afraid to use it during the night. All the furniture was not real comfortable. Very stiff. The bed was ok.
Review 24:The rooms were nicely put together with plenty of room and nice appeal
Review 25:Food choices, staff unwilling to lift a finger to help. Floors and halls were filthy. I later saw Mr. Good Luck pushing a vacuum so hopefully he thought it might be good to actually do some work.
Review 26:The food was sparse and what I would have been able to get at a convenience store. I needed help finding the appropriate exit to find my car. I ended up at the place where the laundry facilities are. A large group of staff were standing and sitting on the floor. When I asked for help they were uninterested in helping, a young man seated on the floor added, "good luck with that". I won't return to this hotel. I will be returning to the Staybridge instead.
Review 27:The only down fall to this room was the sink in the kitchenette, it was not clean it had a horrible smell coming out of the drain and very little water pressure. We did not have the need for use of the sink but it was still pretty gross to look at.
Review 28:The room was clean, the bed was nice. There was plenty of storage space for the clothes and empty suitcases. Bathroom was clean tub/shower combo was very clean.
Review 29:There is nothing to not like.
Review 30:I have enjoyed and looked forward to my monthly stays for over 6 years at the Arbor. I like everything about the Arbor experience.
Review 31:The front desk was very helpful. We had a ground floor room and they moved us at our request to a 3rd floor room. The room while a bit dated, was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay here again.
Review 32:seemed they were lacking in the numbers of service people, some conveniences were taken off the third and second floor, had to go to first floor to get a soda.
Review 33:nice service people
Review 34:The lay out of the rooms were strange. There was a counter in the "toilet room" (which was separated by a door from the sink and shower. There was a "Vanity area" without a mirror. But even worse than the strange layout, was the cleanliness. The couch (which is the first thing you see when you enter the room) had multiple stains on it. And there were green residue rings around the sink faucet and the drain in the tub. There's also not an exhaust fan in the bathroom, so a hot shower would just make it steamy.
Review 35:The coffee pot system. ( I know this is picky).
Review 36:The room was wonderful - nice and large - comfortable and clean. Price was very nice for the type of room we enjoyed! Will plan to stay at Arbor Inn and Suites on my next stay in Lubbock.
Review 37:Beds were a little stiff. Woke up with sore back. Breakfast needed bacon or sausage.
Review 38:Location and facilities were great. Pool was awesome. Room was really nice.
Review 39:Housekeeping staff did not furnish enough towels & washcloths Child wasn't allowed to get breakfast alone (even though parent authorized)
Review 40:Breakfast choices/coffee/beverages were very good Pool and hot tub clean and very pretty/enjoyable Lobby and rooms clean & comfortable
Review 41:Could have used a little sprucing up. Several notices on plain paper taped up. The panel to call the elevator looked like it was just stuck in the wall. No trim.
Review 42:Michelle the housekeeper is so sweet. I was moving my daughter to Texas Tech for her first year at college. She was pretty anxious about school and brought a small stuffed animal toy with her. Every time Michelle cleaned our room she made my daughter's but up with her stuffed animal tucked neatly under the sheets.she was always pleasant and had a smile on her face. She brought us extra face towels when she realized we needed extra. We didn't have to ask her
Review 43:The elevator needs attention - dirty carpet walls need some repair. Pillowcases were wrinkled but appeared clean. Otherwise I have no problem recommending this as a good place to stay.
Review 44:Spacious room & I liked the layout. Comfortable bed. Nice continental breakfast selection.
Review 45:The pool was closed. This was one of the reasons we booked the room! They could have let us know at check in.
Review 46:The room was great! Plenty of room for all the family.
Review 47:From the moment we checked in, everything was top notch. Staff was courteous & professional. The room was very clean, very comfortable and VERY quiet. We slept so well. Beds were comfy & linens were clean & soft. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of healthy options along with the waffles & biscuits & gravy. We stay in Lubbock several times a year to visit family & will absolutely stay here from now on.
Review 48:They need to remove the air fresheners. They are very over powering when you first walk in. The room was great and had a great view, but the first thing you notice is the air freshener.
Review 49:Too soft pillows
Review 50:Speed check in /check out Midday cookies Elevator Free breakfast (including yogurt and fruits) Pool Huge rooms and very clean
Review 51:The bed was like a brick and had a spring in my back, our toilet was like a teeter-totter and would wake the guest next door and make them need to use the restroom too, lol. No pots or pans or eating utensils offered with the rooms kitchen.
Review 52:Pool, balcone, kitchen with full size fridge, breakfast, free laundry washer and dryer, multiple doorways into the building, more than one elevator. The maid staff actually talked to you when they saw me and asked if i needed anything for the room and was very polite and wished me a nice day. Manager is the owner and the operator of the facility and was on site alot of the time.
Review 53:Beds are a bit uncomfy WiFi was slooooooow Just a suggestion but stock more coffee stirrer, sugar packet set ups. 4 cups supplied & one set up packet.
Review 54:Huge room Extra blanket! QUIET! It was so nice to be able to sleep in & not be woke up by other guests slamming doors, staff talking outside of door while pulling cleaning carts, etc. Appreciated front desk's suggesting 3rd floor room....it was fabulous to relax in quiet!
Review 55:Pool opened 1 hour late and was not clean. Loud partying and staff would not help quiet down other guests. Told us to call police. Overall facility needs updating. Very soiled carpet everywhere.

Review 83:Having a 3rd story balcony room is the only way to go at this hotel.
Review 84:Nothing bad at all!
Review 85:We only stayed one night and didn't get to utilize the kitchen but everything else was great!
Review 86:Just wish there was plain yogurt with breakfast and more fruits.

Review 92:Looked worn, needs a remodel. Full kitchen but no pots, pans, dishes, glasses, toaster, can opener, etc.
