Review 3:personal touch real porcelain tableware and cutlery excellent location

Review 4:Stephanie is an awesome lady. The inn is old but well maintained. The social hour was nice and the continental breakfast offered is better than most. I would go back again.

Review 5:The owners are enthusiastic and charming. It was a good value for the money! We enjoyed the coffee. The room was very clean and the bathroom was nice.

Review 6:It is an old hotel with old furniture which is not necessarily the most comfortable. Like staying at Grandma's house.

Review 7:Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice ambiance and clean. Good selection at breakfast and evening social.

Review 8:Rooms were kinda small

Review 9:It was a very nice little inn. Not for large crowds, but it is a simple, friendly comfy inn. I would recommend, and will return.

Review 12:Never had so friendly and welcoming staff. Atmosphere was fantastic. Breakfast delicious and the rooms well furnished. Best Hotel Stay for a long time. Thanks a lot for everything Brian and Stephanie !!

Review 13:We loved it in every way.

Review 14:We were greeted at the door with warm hospitality. The room was very quaint and clean, as was the washroom. Very close to many restaurants, concert venues, and the museum.

Review 15:The only complaint I had was the musty smell from the air conditioning unit. It set off my allergies a bit.

Review 16:The charm of this place is 2nd to none, and I love that they have all of the doors locked for security at all times, only allowing those staying on the property in.

Review 17:Everything!!! The owners were very friendly and willing to help and serve the traveler. The property was clean and very well kept, felt like staying in a small town in Europe !! Breakfast and eveninin reception was also good !!

Review 18:There was nothing not to like

Review 19:A hotel that was built in 1937. Owner registered is, great coffee in the lobby. Terrific continental breakfast and a Free social at five with a free beverage. Gorgeous antiques plain but functional room. Ice cold AC. Will now stay here every visit to st petr

Review 20:None

Review 21:The hospitality of the staff.we were strangers in the area yet they made us feel at home.we were able to appreciate St.Petersburg in one day.Bill welcomed us and Steph attended to us like closeknit family, fabulous in this day and age.will definitely recommend to friends.

Review 22:No bad experience at all.

Review 23:We liked the owners of the hotel and the gentleman of the night shift. They were all very attentive and inviting. Anything one needed was immediately taken care of. The rooms are small but absolutely cosy and tastefully decorated. We just felt at home. Thanks.

Review 24:Parking can be a nuisance on Sunday, but no real issues.

Review 25:The staff was more than friendly. The location was great for us. It was a step back in time type of hotel. Old style hotel but it worked for everyone staying.

Review 26:It was very old looking, yet it is a very old, historic building. I know some people like this, I just don't think it's for me.

Review 27:Staff was really friendly and welcoming!

Review 28:It is perfectly situated in the middle of St. Pete within walking distance to the city center or Beach Dr. Staff are all lovely & friendly people. It feels more like staying in someone's home more than an Inn. I always stay here when I come to St. Pete!

Review 29:Some people may find the 'friendliness' overbearing Cold breakfast was good, but you felt a little self-conscious going back for 'seconds'

Review 30:Wonderful friendly staff (Bill and Brian) who welcomed you as part of their family and made you feel at home They were proud of their hotel and wanted to be sure that you enjoyed your stay Tons of useful advice about local attractions Loads of character in quirky rooms Convenient location within walking distance of downtown St Petersburg 'Happy hour' with free drink so that you would meet other guests

Review 31:Loved the old style decor. Very warm and welcoming from beginning to end. Even have a happy hour. Owners are fabulous. Made us feel as if we were the only guests there.

Review 32:Older room furniture kind of filled up the room. No room safe.

Review 33:The relaxed atmosphere, refrig in room, parking on premises, walking distance to tourist attractions and inexpensive trolley stop across the street. Free local and domestic phone calls. Afternoon free one-drink happy hour.

Review 34:Really cute boutique style hotel in a great location near downtown st. Pete. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. Well stay there every time we travel to st pete!

Review 35:The mattress in our room was very firm.

Review 36:My husband and I stayed at Americas Best Inn for a weekend in May. Our room was small but quaint and very clean. The location of the inn is perfect. It's close enough to walk to museums and fantastic restaurants. The best part of the inn is the warm and welcoming hosts....they couldn't be more accommodating!

Review 37:For this money I normally expect a double bed, we got only a queen size. Breakfast was all packed things in plastic. With German owner it is a pity not to even have some fresh bread.

Review 38:The staff is very friendly, speaking fluently German & English. Very helpful with regard to our stay and also locations around St.Pete. The city center and museums are very near, around 10-15 min. walk. In 5 min. walk you reach the bay and a lot of restaurants. We had free tea and coffee in the lobby and WiFi was fast. All facilities, furniture and room stuff were clean and stylish. The Inn has charm of an old US-city.

Review 39:restaurants not good need a old fashioned diner Bob Evans at exit 17 on 275 is a great place and worth the drive

Review 40:administration made me feel like a family member

Review 41:The rooms were quite large, clean, freshly painted. This was like staying with "Grandma" with older furniture and fixtures, not surprising since this building dated from 1937. It was only a four block walk to Central Avenue and shopping and restaurants

Review 42:Bed was a little uncomfortable.

Review 43:Very friendly staff offering good suggestions for eating in the city. Nice breakfast. Enjoyed happy hour drink on arrival.

Review 44:The bed was terrible. I could not sleep very well and kept waking up during the night because of the pain inflected on my back and hips. I would love to stay again but they would have to have new beds for me to do so.

Review 45:Location was great - Never had to use my car because everything was in walking distance of hotel. Room was great and exceptionally clean.

Review 46:Actually nothing was wrong with this stay, we had a wonderful time.

Review 47:The hotel is old fashion and a great reminder of how hotels were fifty years ago. They've done a wonderful job of keeping the classic look and adding some modern touches. The owners were on site (during the day) and were most friendly and helpful to us.

Review 48:Small lobby, limited tables for breakfast, no low-fat milk. Soft mattress.

Review 49:Friendly/helpful staff! Walking distance to downtown St. Petersburg, variety of restaurants, beautiful parks, port. Good coffee, bananas and tangerines. Antique furniture throughout. Creaky floors. Good place to stay a couple days if you don't want to spend a lot on hotel...most restaurants in area are $$$.

Review 50:No being able to stay longer

Review 51:We had a fantastic time at this inn, not the typical American inn we expected, this is more a quaint personal friendly hotel then a box standard inn, fantastic location minutes walk to harbour and restaurants, great couple that run and own it that will go the extra mile to assist you and so reasonably priced we couldn't believe it, quiet room and hotel great nights sleep, lovely quaint room, exceptional, thank you for a fantastic stay

Review 52:The staff was beyond helpful. They offered to help us with our luggage, they had wonderful suggestions for places to eat, visit, etc. We will definitely stay here again!

Review 53:We couldn't sleep there, was absolutely a big disaster. Very old, bad smell (bathroom was absolutely run-down). The position is perfect, but this is not enough to be a hotel. I have no idea how they have a such high rating!!! Pity...

Review 54:The neighborhood is a little bit rough, so be cautious if walking around alone or when unloading/loading your car.

Review 55:Very attentive owners who handle work at the front desk; hotel is secure--front door kept locked; complimentary breakfast and evening happy hour

Review 56:the bed is a very old one where you sagg into the mattress and the bed seques as soon as you move. In the nigth is was very loud from outside, the street and the people in the room above you could here every word. From 8 stations during our Florida trip unfortunately this was the worse night of all!

Review 57:The hotel is very nice and very nice staff in a good location.

Review 58:Breakfast items were arranged very neatly. Everything was very clean. A complimentary bottle of beer during happy hour. Very friendly owner and wife run this establishment. Location in easy walking distance of waterfront museums and restaurants.

Review 59:Limited breakfast, internet was slow Friday night.

Review 60:Old, cute, homey. Friendly staff. Dated, but nice, clean. Free parking. Social hour in the evening although I was not there to take advantage of it.

Review 61:We didn't receive the wifi in the room. Had to stay in the hallway for connection.

Review 62:Staff and owner very kind and helpful. Clean. Good quality with a good price. I recommend

Review 63:Nothing to complain. Except if you think you booked a chain-hotel please be not disappointed but open yourself to the atmosphere. I have felt so relaxed so quickly.

Review 64:This is not a hotel, this is the nicest little cottage from 1937 in St. Petersburg. If you ever want to stay for some time in a classic family owned Inn - go there. The interior is original. And the owner/staff let you feel like you belong there, if you want to. They definitely go the extra mile and even more.

Review 65:Only down point was that wifi could be intermittent in my room, but it was always strong in the lobby.

Review 66:This was a fantastic hotel. Small, with cosy rooms, it is well looked after and run by gracious hosts who are among the friendliest and most helpful I've ever encountered.

Review 67:Nothing worth mentioning.

Review 68:The location is very convenient, the staff is very kind and helpful, the ammenities are veery good and the breakfast is better than average.

Review 69:As a German I slways fancy bed and breakfast places with a personal note. This is what you get. The welcome was fantastic, the rooms and the entire hotel has a unique charme to it and it feels like family to be there. A great experience !

Review 70:When we arrived at the hotel the door was opened and we received a smiling greeting. Checking I was quick and efficient while at the same time friendly and informal. Brian and Stephanie (not forgetting Bill who was there in the evening) provided the same welcome every time we walked through the door. We enjoyed happy hour when guests were allowed a free beer or glass of wine or a soft drink and provided with the atmosphere in which to meet fellow guests. If you are looking for ultra modern minimalistic impersonal don't book here. We loved it.

Review 71:- a little old, bed could be more comfortable

Review 72:- nice innkeeper - homely atmosphere with loving touches - good breakfast with glass (!) mugs and procellan dishes, bananas etc. - good location, could go to pier 1 and restaurants by foot (ca. 5min)

Review 73:We had a great time at America's Best Inn-Downtown St Petersburg. The atmosphere was really great, the owners were very friendly. If we ever go back to Sint-Petersburg, we would certainly go back to this hotel. The location is only a 15 minute walk to the Tropical Field and a 10 minute walk to the center of Saint-Petersburg.

Review 74:no ocean view (kidding)

Review 75:nice, clean rooms, good wifi, actually the best you can get for this price. next to the hotel there's a gas station with 24h store, just 500m other way - Publix. Small outlet centre close. About 15 minutes to the closest Sanibel Island beach.

Review 76:I enjoyed my stay in America's Best Inn very much. I had to extend my stay by one day - earlier than planned and I didn't need to move rooms which was really nice! Breakfast was nice, simple but it fills you up pretty good:) My room was with one queen size bed Nice small, really comfortable room. I can recommend this family hotel to anyone who is looking for a nice stay in St Pete! I felt like home! :) Thank you!!
