Reviews for Conch On Inn Motel
Review 1:Lovely waterfront location, friendly family run place that looks exactly as you'd expect a place in the keys to look. A family of manatees was in the waterway when we arrived, which was a bonus
Review 2:Cindy treated us like we were long lost friends. What a pleasure it was meeting her. Our stay was short as we were passing through on our way back to Miami airport from our stay on Cudjoe Key. The motel is being remodeled and looks like it will be awesome.
Review 3:No bad experiences.
Review 4:Location on canal was great. Saw manatees up close and personal. Owners pet were a blast to interact with. Nice open patio to enjoy the weather.
Review 5:The hotel is next to the road, so traffic will be heard, but somewhat less with AC on.
Review 6:A good central location, not too far south of Key Largo (13 miles) and within reach of southern Keys. Friendly staff
Review 7:The door to the unit was pretty close to opening right onto Highway 1, though road noise was drowned out by the air conditioner. (not saying the air conditioner was overly loud)
Review 8:A quirky little place right on a waterway. Not far from many restaurants and attractions. The owner did say that they were in the midst of some renovations. The room & bed were comfortable enough but did need some updating in the bathroom. The patio on the waterway was very relaxing. The owners, Cindy & Mike, were very nice.
Review 9:After 1st night and lack of sleep & comfort of beds, I asked the owner if we could cancel our 2nd night & find another hotel w/o paying for the 2nd night at the Conch On Inn, owner said no he had never had any other complaints.
Review 10:Staff was honest, called me when electronic device was found.
Review 11:No ice, ac not really working. The tolet kept running when flushed. Had to keep fixing the chain each time. I know the Keys are expensive, but I expected to at least have some ice and ac for the price they charge.
Review 12:Patios
Review 13:The hotel is very close to the main road on the island. Half of the rooms are situated on the roadside. We could not sleep because of the trafficnoise at night, The owners tried to relocate us to one of the rooms on the waterside, but unfortunately the rooms were all booked. So we left one night early
Review 14:The location of the hotel for a trip to the other keys is perfect. The owners are very friendly people.
Review 15:maid swept the floor in room & it wasn't wiped & our feet got very dirty when barefoot, cracked tiles on floor of shower, not on the beach
Review 16:parking close to room, room close to channel to the bay, friendliness & helpfulness of staff, availability of grills & outdoor dining facilities, owners took us out on a pontoon ride on the bay, discounts to local restaurants given, the price was right
Review 17:Mike and Cindy were probably the nicest hotel owners/staff I've ever met. When they said to make yourself at home, they really meant it. My buddy and I had a great time grilling out at night using their gas grill right on the dock.
Review 18:As you approach, the motel looks basic, but walk though the gate into the backyard and you are on the waterfront with manatees waiting for you to give them a drink of fresh water - amazing. You can sit and have one of your own beers or use the gas BBQ. The rooms are a little tired but are kept clean. They have air con, fridge, microwave and a dining table. The wifi is fast. The owners are delightful - really helpful. You will have to drive to a restaurant, but you could easily cook something for yourself and eat it in your room or or the waterfront. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
Review 19:Could not get a phone signal or WiFi at all while on premises. Shower will turn hot or cold without warning.
Review 20:Extremely friendly staff/owners. Convenient location and very clean. Lovely place.
Review 21:Cindy, the owner, was so accommodating!! She and her husband are working very hard to renovate this property and it is looking great! The rooms are clean. Cindy was more than generous allowing our son and his girlfriend to stay in the room we had paid for. She allowed us to watch the manatees and also fish from the dock. We would definitely recommend this property.
Review 22:The room is boring and no windows and no comfortable chairs to relax. Bathroom mirror was up high on a wall and not convenient to use.
Review 23:On the main route.
Review 24:I missed my coffee pot - a small inconvenience.
Review 25:This is a quaint laid back place to stay - no fancy amenities but the owners make it great. They made us feel so welcome and even gave us a full list of recommended restaurants. They were right on too! If you want to appreciate the beauty of the Keys, here it is.
Review 26:I wasn't expecting much, I knew it would be noisy as on the main road. The TV was too big for the room and the ceiling fan/light reflected on the TV. The other lamp on the night table was too dim to use. Felt it was quite expensive for the quality, but I know the keys are costly.
Review 27:We stayed there because it would accept dogs as we were on the way to Key West. Resturant suggested was nice. Had a good ref with separate freezer. No charge for pets
Review 28:had to go somewhere else to get in water to enjoy or fish. However your down there to see as much of the islands as possible so we did and enjoyed it so much. Islamorada and all the way to Key West is best part when traveling on road. You couldn't see anything much around key Largo unless of course your in the water:)
Review 29:The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in room # 2 .
Review 30:Wifi would only work if you stood by the front door of the room. It was hot in the rooms, the beds were very uncomfortable. The room was small with no closet for hanging up clothes.
Review 31:Friendly staff. Free access to Founders' park with your stay. Staff took the time to show you great places to eat and visit in the area. Close proximity to attractions.
Review 32:Friendliest owners/managers ever. Manatees at there canal dock. Super clean. VERY reasonable. Minutes from Islamorada OR Key Largo centers.
Review 33:Location, Service, Cleanliness
Review 34:Quaint little family run motel. Great hosts! Good stopover on way to Key West. Friendly & helpful, a high old time!
Review 35:looked old and needed renovation, no mirror in the bathroom.
Review 36:space itself, good beds, friendly owners
Review 37:The owners, Mike and Cindy were wonderful people. Great hospitality.
Review 38:do not find anything
Review 39:The locations, The owner, the staff It is familiar
Review 40:The atmosfären
Review 41:This is a great location if you're looking to stay in the Islamorada/Tavernier area. The owners are very hospitable.
Review 42:The warm welcome made us feel at home, Cindy was so helpful. The location is perfect, we even saw manatees right outside the hotel
Review 43:Pillows too flat and too soft. Website said rooms had coffee pots..had pics of them too but none in room
Review 44:Location..friendly staff
Review 45:Mold under sink in bathroom. No tissues or mirrors.
Review 46:Nothing.
Review 47:Excellent hosts, beautiful patio on a canal. Excellent value for the money. Thank you Cindy and Mike

Review 53:We wish there weren't so many smokers in Florida. :(
Review 54:We loved the fact that we could see manatees up close.
Review 55:Swimming with the manatees.
Review 56:Very basic beds and bed linen
Review 57:Cindy , one of the proprietors. The location
Review 58:Beautiful setting with waterside patio and small garden, shared with other guests and the owners very friendly dogs.
Review 59:No closet or place for your suitcase. Bathroom very small.
Review 60:The room was clean and the price was right.
Review 61:I have a pillow top mattress at home. It was very hard to sleep on the firm mattress here.
Review 62:Very accommodating staff.
Review 63:I stayed in a room that is yet to be modernized. Everything was clean and functional but outdated. No coffee machine in the room.
Review 64:The owners made me feel like a old friend. Laid back atmosphere. Outstanding value.
Review 65:The rooms and furniture need work and upgrading. While clean and functional, many things like prior ceiling leak repairs, broken tile replacement, upgraded air conditioning, etc., needs attention. However - an inexpensive place to sleep should be all you need in the Keys because you do not want to waste your time in your room!
Review 66:The owners, Cindy and Mike, were great. They went far out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and ensure all had a good stay and were helpful in pointing out all the good things the Keys offer visitors. Also - the price is right.
Review 67:Great owners that are fixing up a ocean style place that I knew as a kid from the 60's and early 70's. It took me back to that time. I loved then and still do.
Review 68:The rooms do need a little work, but they are very comfortable and clean. I would definitely choose the Conch On Inn again!
Review 69:While the rooms need some work (they are going to be totally rehabbed, soon), the staff was friendly, helpful, and very courteous. The rooms were nice and cool, with no damp beach feel like most hotel/motel rooms near the water! It was great to get into a nice dry bed after a day in the sun! :) Cindy and Mike, and their family of doggies, are awesome!
Review 70:I had no complaints. They are renovating and will be improving the facilities.
Review 71:The owners and staff could not have been nicer. We will definitely return.
Review 72:A little old but its being renovated!
Review 73:The owners make you feel at home. The location is great,on the water.Several Grills/Bar b q's are for guest use! Best value in the Keys.
Review 74:The owners treat you like best friends and invite guests to socialize on the court yard. You get the feeling of being home.Multiple gas grills for all to use, coolers to borrow for day trips and of course pet friendly.
Review 75:1. facilities next extensive repairs an re-modeling 2. rooms very small, no closets, or luggage racks, bed size not what ordered, and very poor quality matteress, springs coming thru the sides.
Review 76:1. located next to sea dock.
Review 77:Sign out front not visible until you're on top of it. Trees needed pruning that were blocking it.
Review 78:Everything.
Review 79:The place was kind of run ,needs a lot of renovation
Review 80:Price was ok ,management were nice and friendly
Review 81:Owners were friendly and very helpful with local info.
Review 82:The fridge was a bit noisy
Review 83:Clean room and friendly staff
Review 84:You have a free entry to Founders Park, the best beach nearby. Cindy the owner was great, really nice and friendly. Location easy to reach.
Review 85:Bathroom - obviously required modernising, with bare plasterboard on one wall - very small.
Review 86:Adjacent quay with manatee.
Review 87:Location. "Old Florida Feel".
Review 88:The room was clean. The value was good for the area. The staff was polite and helpful.
Review 89:inn needs some improving
