Reviews for Hyatt Regency Indianapolis at State Capitol
Review 1:Breakfast staff was less than professional and confusion about it being included in reservation. Food not the greatest.
Review 2:Valet parking, walkway to mall and dinner since it was raining.
Review 3:Our room wasn't completely cleaned. We were moved to a different room and comped breakfast in the morning.
Review 4:The staff was professional, polite, informed , and pleasant.
Review 5:Blood (not mine) on the bedsheets; dirty glasses (asked for new ones); heat did not work (took over two hours and 2 trips by staff to get it working)
Review 6:The service at the breakfast restaurant off of the lobby was awful. There were only two of us dining and we ordered very simple meals, yet everything was wrong from our meals to our drinks. Also very slow.
Review 7:Proximity to Lucas Oil Stadium and hotel atmosphere
Review 8:I didn't like having to pay $25 to park over night.
Review 9:The location was pretty nice, right in the heart of downtown. The hotel was decorated beautifully and there was even a Starbucks in the lobby.
Review 10:The restauraunt in hotel had good buffet food but they were understaffed and we got bad service. Was very dissapointing. Wallpaper in room was coming apart at seams. Needed a little maintenance. Especially for $369 per night.
Review 11:Location was great. Decor was nicely updated . Room was clean. Eagles nest was cool and great food and service.
Review 12:That booking didn't work. Lucky they were not full and able to get me into a room. The search confirmation number not by name could be found. But hotel did a great job of getting me into a room and even cheaper.
Review 13:AC did not work well until 3rd night of stay. Housekeeping made bed only after 2nd night did not replace glasses used or clean around sink. Give us toilet paper so ran out.
Review 14:Location was great- going to a Comra game. Easy walk. Valet service great
Review 15:There were multiple conference. We could not get a dinner reservation. We ended up getting room service which was very pricey. Additionally there is actually only limited on site parking so we ended up having to pay $39 for valet instead of $22 to self park. (Because the nearby onsite parking could only accommodate vehicles less than 5'8" which my SUV which never make)
Review 16:The room was very nice with updated decor. The staff was tremendously friendly. The beds were so comfortable.
Review 17:We didn't like the pancakes served at breakfast. Everything else tasted great.
Review 18:I liked the view of the city and the upgrade since we were on our honeymoon.
Review 19:Everyone we travel to Downtown Indianapolis we always stay at the Hyatt. The location is perfect, it is always close to everything. The room is always clean and th e staff are friendly. We will always stay here.
Review 20:There was no window except to the hallway, the room was dark, the thermostat was in the bathroom making the room too cold or too hot depending on use. The newspapers promised at check in never were delivered.
Review 21:The room was a good size and the bed and bathroom were excellent.
Review 22:The hotel room phone has a weird undocumented feature. When you pick it up the receiver, the TALK button is in the off position. You have to press it so the LED light turns red BEFORE you dial out. However, the selectable push button to the hotel lobby front desk worked through the speaker phone with the TALK button in off position. The Tech that the front desk sent up did not know about that weird undocumented feature and thought it was a service provider call out issue. That was my guess too, at that point. Later, I added a Note inside the hotel room guide in the section about the undocumented feature of the phone operation. It should be added to all the rest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No "Hyatt Regency" sign over the check in area. That makes a small corner of the large corporate floor area confusing when no one is on station when you arrive.
Review 23:The room was excellent! The in hotel The food and service at "The Eagle's Nest" rotating restaurant on the roof was excellent!
Review 24:I didn't like having to pay for parking every time I needed to use my car. Had to use it 3x @ $25 bucks a pop
Review 25:Only a few minutes drive to racetrack. Walking distance to all major attractions (shopping, restaurants etc)
Review 26:Housekeeping wasn't up to par. Desk hadn't been dusted in days, carpet wasn't vacuumed. Maid didn't speak English so I couldn't ask for anything.
Review 27:Hotel is convenient to downtown restaurants & sightseeing locations. Great lounge & restaurant if you don't want to go out.
Review 28:the parking was expensive. When we checked in, no one told us that the parking was $25 each time you parked. Also, the pool closed at 10:00 pm. We thought it should be open later.
Review 29:The staff was nice and provided items that we needed promptly
Review 30:Although it was nice, I can think of better things to spend $600 on two hotel rooms for one night. A little overpriced in my opinion, and there wasn't a breakfast that I could tell.
Review 31:Everything was very modern and close to what we did downtown.
Review 32:I didn't like that I paid cash for the room and i was still charged on my credit card which they are going to reimburse me . Wi-fi did not work on my laptop
Review 33:Pool and hot tube
Review 34:The parking garage is a labyrinth! Also, my room was very dusty, as though it hadn't been used in quite some time (room 1025).
Review 35:Love the location of the hotel, and all there is to do around it, and the walkway for other building access.
Review 36:Right next door to shopping, excellent restaurants and cinema yet the hotel was quiet and had a great view of a historic building from the room. Excellent staff.
Review 37:The only thing I didn't like was the pillows on the bed. They were way too soft.

Review 46:What ever happened to hotels not being allowed to price gouge? We were there for the NCAA championship game. By no means was this room anywhere near a value of $499. I understand a mark up but this was crazy and we will never go back!!
Review 47:The bed was comfortable and the location was great.
Review 48:Make sure to check your bill before you check out. I was going to be charged for a bottle of water I did not even touch.
Review 49:Overall I enjoyed my stay. My view was beautiful.
Review 50:Pete at the front desk was great! He made sure we were taken care of and even provided free breakfast vouchers the next morning when we were checking out. Pete and the rest of the staff made us feel like VIPS! I will make sure I come back to this hotel!
Review 51:Shower was weak and water uncontrollably would get hot and cold without warning. Faucet water in bathroom did the same thing.
Review 52:Great looking and clean hotel. Great service including hotel bar. Very modern and great view from our room.
Review 53:Air conditioning would not stay on the temperature we set it on. The room would warm up in the middle of night and when we left. Hotel bar needed more help. ..people got up & left because could not get waited on.
