Review 1：We wanted to stay here because we would like to enjoy the wellness facilities. It was planned to open at 10 am but instead it's closed the whole day. I asked a staff why it's not open and he answered that they didn't have enough staffs that day.

Review 2：The cabins are older, much used and could really use some new paint, weather-proofing, general TLC. We were there for a cold, wet week, and couldn't get the fire place to work. There was no way to get clean towels, no amenities of any kind, including toilet paper.

Review 3：The water park was great. Seems like it would be a great place for families in the summer.

Review 10：Had to ask at reception for my sheets and towels - when I returned to the chalet they were dumped outside the door in the rain. Shower was not working properly. Restaurants not great - especially for a vegetarian.

Review 11：The chalet was peaceful and private and I was able to play a musical instrument without disturbing people. The grounds were attractive and it was easy to get to the beautiful beach. Good pool - though very crowded and excellent massage at the Thermae.

Incorrect Breakfast Vouchers issued on arrival - we ordered and paid for 4 persons for 3 days at 9 Euros per day 'upfront' - but only 1 voucher was issued for one person - so 3 vouchers in total instead of 12 vouchers. We had to pay locally for all breakfasts and were told to make a claim for reimbursement of the 108 Euros direct of yourselves (which I've since done). 2. Very poor drainage in some parts of the site especially were we stayed in Chalet 858 - the entrance to the alley way from the main centre was severely flooded during our stay - admittedly during a period of heavy rain resulting in not just a large puddle blocking the entrance but a flooded area 5 foot wide / 6 inches deep ! 3. Small Point : No English terrestrial channels on the TV : ie :BBC1 / 2 ; ITV.

Review 13：1. The location and convenience of the SunParks site in De Haan relative to our plans to tour around Flanders and the Flemish coast. 2. The setting and tranquillity of the site. Lovely lake and walks despite the drainage (see "Didn't Likes" section).

Review 22：Booked in from 3pm arrived about 5pm because of traffic room was not ready as they said they had not long got booking from booking.com. when got to room smelt awful so went back and was finally given new room when got their already had someone in the room this person was being moved out next day because they were not happy with it when then finally given another room when got there had no Bedding so had to go back again finally was 9 30 by time got sorted. next day when about to leave cleaner let herself in room 3 times. Raw sewage came up from shower while daughter was in it. When had food it had flys all over it and when ask for tea towel to hold bread to cut was told by staff it was 3 star on 5 star

Review 26：This is a great self-catering place for families with small children particularly as there are plenty activities if the weather is bad which is a disaster in most places with small kids. Bike rental makes the beach easily accessible. There is a shop and bar and even a restaurant on the premises, but the real attraction in bad weather in the tropical pool and the indoor playground area.

Very private houses where u feel comofortable to spend your time doing what you please. Open fire was lovely on the cold evenings where you can buy logs in the shop and cossy up in the cottages. Over all I would give my stay a 10/10. Couldn't fault it!

Review 42：not enough info given at the checkin regarding what the structure offers, time, general rules and condiction. very fast. the bungalow was not properly cleaned, especially the floor. some window were found open (maybe for air changing at the last moment) and lot lot lot of mosquitos were in the house.

Review 54：On our arrival at 1520, the room hadn't been cleaned. There was no mention when booking of the need for towels and sheets, we were told at reception that it would be 60 euros to hire for our 2 nights! There was no oven in the flat, which limited our cooking options. We had mice living under the dishwasher and would watch them scamper around the kitchen in the evening. There was a wasps nest outside our bedroom window and it was fascinating to watch the arrival and departure routines of the many inhabitants. The buffet restaurant was very expensive - breakfast 12.50 euro adult, child 6.50, evening meal 24.50 euros each but if your child was 11 or under (everywhere else is under 12) it was 8.50. This meant for our family we were looking at nearly 100 euros just for dinner! The activities are quite expensive.

Review 55：The apartment was fairly roomy. The swimming complex had enough things to keep our 2 teen children amused for a couple of hours each day. The supermarket is well stocked and only slightly more expensive than other supermarkets we had visited.

Key card to property stopped working after 1st night had to go back to reception twice, ended up having to use a key to gain access.

Review 61：I booked this "hotel" because it had a pool for our 6 year old. First the pool area is AMAZING, it may be alitlle older but still in great condition! The cabin was basic but definitely worth the money (I read previous reviews so I knew we either had to rent our sheets and towels or bring our own). Our hot water wasn't working the first night but we didn't realize until 22:00 that the water was ice cold, we went and told the office. They said maintenance was closed and would reopen at 830am. At exactly 8:35 they were at our cabin fixing the water, AWESOME service!! The staff was very nice and everyone spoke very good English. We will definitely be staying here again!

Review 101：The paths between the houses and the centre have 20cm high wooden posts to stop traffic. They are all unlit and many are badly maintained and have reflectors broken off. My wife fell over one of these in the dark (poorly lit walkways) damaging her hand and knee. Accident form completed. I regard these as a major trip hazard in the dark.

When we arrived there was no booking due to a error by "My Booking.com" and they were completely full. Review 113：My family and I recently stayed at Sunparks, and we did not enjoy our stay. We checked in on Friday, June 14, 2013, around 2215 with eight people and checked out on Sunday, June 16th 2013 around 1000 . The room did not have the materials requested at check in, the mattresses were covered in hair and dirt, the floor had not been swept or vacuumed, our dish washer was showing two red lights indicating that the machine needed salt and the liquid in order to run (it also smelled very strongly of mildew/mold when opened, and the upstairs shower leaked into the bedroom next to it and the kitchen below. The staff was not accommodating, with exception of the service man who came to look at the shower on Saturday and verify my complaints about the condition of the cabin.When we arrived at our cabin we found that we did not have any towels, only 6 sets of sheets, and no crib; all of these things had been requested at the time of booking. My husband then went to the reception desk to see about getting two more sets of sheets, some towels, and the crib which had been requested. He was told that although reception stayed open that housekeeping wasn't 24 hours and that he would need to return in the morning to collect those materials.Deciding that we would have to make due with the amount of sheets provided we began to make the beds only to discover that they were filthy; they were covered in hair (whether it be human or animal I don't know), crumbs, dirt, etc. We also found that the flooring had not been vacuumed or swept.After taking a shower (and having to dry off with our t-shirts due to the lack of towels) in the upstairs bathroom we also discovered that water leaks into the bedroom next to it, wetting the suitcases, therefore our clean clothing that we had set on the floor against the wall, and through the ceiling in the kitchen below causing water to pool in the window seal and on the floor.
