Reviews for Zinfandel Inn
Review 1:After the warm welcome we were given a wealth of information on what to do in St. Helena and the entire region. The breakfast every morning was out of this world, and healthy :-).
Review 2:Located right in the heart of everything; breakfasts were phenomenal; our innkeeper was generous not only with the breakfasts, but also with knowledge of wines and the region.
Review 3:The Inn had no negatives. We thought the street looked a little shabby. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely go back.
Review 4:Our room was beautiful and the breakfasts were outstanding
Review 5:A little outdated decor, queen beds are a little small for adult couples, WiFi coverage was spotty.
Review 6:Very nice place, Barbara & Jerry are very nice, centrally located, great breakfasts.
Review 7:The room was nice but needs to be updated. The tub was too big and we couldn't fill it because it kept leaking out water. Also, the water in general for tub and shower was inconsistent. The house needs a little tlc. There were a lot of cobwebs and needs some fresh paint in rooms. The hot tub was dirty inside and the pool was a bit cold.
Review 8:The breakfast was amazing. Very accomodating to our needs. Coffee was made early since we had to leave early. The room was very spacious and had a cute balcony. The bed was very comfortable.
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:Location was great, as was the welcome and attentiveness of the host. Nothing was too much trouble for her and the amazing breakfast filled you up for the day and was delicious. Go there if you are visiting Wine Country, excellent throughout.
Review 11:The location was further away from town than we like, the Inn and our bedroom are very outdated. To keep the rest of the house cool, our room became too cool. We had to close the vents and cover them. The lights over the fire place did not work, the bed frame was in the way of the TV, the hot tub was cold, the grounds were nice but the pool was not kept up.
Review 12:The king bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was well prepared, presented very nicely and very good.
Review 13:Could use some remodeling and moderization.
Review 14:The service was outstanding and the room was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Location is excellent for wine tasting in Napa Valley. Easy access.
Review 15:My husband is 6'3" and could not easily "navigate" the bathroom in the downstairs room. The countertop was only 3-4 inches higher than his knees which made it uncomfortable, to say the least, when using the sink. The unadjustable showerhead was likewise too low for a comfortable shower. Also, we were unable to access the Inn's WiFi system from within our room.
Review 16:Unfortunately when we visited, the present owner of the Inn was hospitalized. However, we were met by the future owner and she excelled in her breakfast presentations and was very helpful with dining recommendations and local information. She graciously made our stay even more enjoyable.
Review 17:Nothing negative to say.
Review 18:We had an extra comfortable bed in a lovely suite with a beautiful bathroom and a can't-be-beat breakfast. The host was a pleasure to interact with.
Review 19:One of the the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Walk in wardrobe, sofa and armchairs, desk, double shower, jacuzzi bath and large balcony. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. Amazing. Only 3 rooms at this hotel and breakfast is served at one large dining table and all home prepared so interesting to chat to other guests and find out their Napa plans, which on the whole is wine and restaurant recommendations. No restaurant for dinner here but plenty of excellent restaurants in nearby St Helena. Barbara and Jerry are knowledgeable about wine and Napa generally and can give you good recommendations
Review 20:Nothing, it was all good.
Review 21:Very homely and welcoming, the hosts were really nice and the breakfast was very good. Nice locational St. Helena with many local facilities.
Review 22:Nothing to dislike
Review 23:Jerry and Barbara are excellent hosts. Very accomodating. I would definitely recommend them and their facility. So peaceful. They went above and beyond for us.
Review 24:Decor was a bit dated.
Review 25:The room was large and comfortable, the mattress was great, and breakfasts were fantastic! Jerry and Barbara were accommodating, but not intrusive. They helped make us reservations. Location is fantastic which makes it easy to get around the valley.
Review 26:This place is beautiful and centrally located in St. Helena. Barbara and Jerry were great hosts and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious.
Review 27:The inn could use renovation especially at the rates being charged.
Review 28:Magnificent breakfast.
Review 29:The location was amazing with a gorgeous view of the vineyards. Big rooms for a B&B. Fabulous breakfast and very helpful hostess.

Review 31:Absolutely lovely! Barb is a true gem.
Review 32:We loved the location in the Napa Valley as well as the excellent breakfasts! The owner was friendly and helpful. We would definitely return!
Review 33:We loved the extra special attention to details. We felt like we were home!
Review 34:not enough light in the room.
Review 35:location, location, location
Review 36:Have the pool ready for my next stay
Review 37:The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful & breakfast was yummy
Review 38:Place feels outdated Need a good overhaul
Review 39:Good location Delicious breakfast Friendly host
Review 40:Facility in need of update Large room, poor lighting, no bedside table.
Review 41:Welcoming host Great Breakfast
Review 42:eating late
Review 43:atmosphere
Review 44:Did not like breakfast. Pretty bit not tasty.
Review 45:Liked accommodations. And location. Nice owners.
Review 46:atmosphere, breakfast, chatting with owner, trees and green, size,
Review 47:pool water was too cold to swim
Review 48:almost everything
Review 49:Very nice hosts and fantastic breakfasts. Perfect garden and nice pool.
Review 50:Mattresses could be updated, a little lumpy. Carpeting a little worn.
Review 51:Breakfast and hospitality was wonderful. Beautiful grounds with pool. Location, very, very good. Right in the heart of it all.
Review 52:I got the room with the Jacuzzi bathtub because my significant other enjoys a bath before bed each night. There was not enough hot water to fill the tub so she went without. Major bummer!
Review 53:Location and food were great! Very quiet and staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Review 54:The only thing we noticed was the outdated bathroom. The toilet wouldn't flush on our last day and the shower/sink water took about 10 minutes to heat up.
Review 55:Upon visiting Zinfandel Inn, my boyfriend and I were a little skeptical about staying at a bed and breakfast since neither of us had experienced one before (not to mention this was our first ever trip to Napa). I must say, we were blown away by the beautiful accommodations and warm hospitality. Jerry and Barbara are excellent hosts; not only did they leave us instructions when we arrived late at night, but we woke up the next couple mornings to some of the most delicious breakfasts we have had in a while--better than most restaurants! Bonus: there's a jacuzzi in the backyard that's available 24/7, available directly from the King Suite private patio entry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
Review 56:There weren't enough electrical outlets, but that is common in older B&Bs.
Review 57:The inn was beautiful and well-appointed. Breakfasts were delicious and there was so much food, we skipped lunch every day. The bed was very comfortable, and our room was very quiet. There is a hot tub on the property and robes were provided.
Review 58:Breakfast described as luxury cooked was danish doughnut. No fruit juice only coffee. Welcome drink with canapes was 1/3rd bottle of champagne and biscuit. Booking requirement of between 3 and 5pm was unhelpful. Jacuzzi not working. Change of ownership affecting customer care.
Review 59:LOCATION PARKING owner pleasant but sold business
Review 60:Can't think of anything negative to say about Zinfandel Inn.
Review 61:Jerry was a perfect host. Easy to relax and have fun. Breakfast wasamazing. It's not inexpensive, but all that is promised isdelivered.
Review 62:I have checked my invoices and found out that I payed 1. on 5/17/13 310 USD 2. on 8/20/13 1,491.20 USD Total of 1,801 USD The original reservation shows 1,580 USD please explain why we paid 221 USD more? Nurit Tishler
Review 63:The owners were so friendly and accommodating. They were very knowledgeable about the area and provided great tips. Our room was very cozy and comfortable. We felt like we were in our own home.
Review 64:Décor/carpets need to be updated; appearance is worn
Review 65:Proprietors were friendly and helpful in providing tips around the area; breakfast was sumptuous!
Review 66:It's not necessarily a thing I disliked, but it is a very intimate B&B. All rooms are in the same building, and if you are looking for privacy/anonymity it may not be your best choice. Breakfast is at 8:45 AM, and everyone is served together at the same table. So, you will make friends, or have a mildly awkward, quiet breakfast with strangers.
Review 67:Great breakfasts Friendly couple running the place Hot tub and pool access Clean, comfortable rooms
Review 68:No place to sit & read in room w/ decent lighting, except in bed.
Review 69:Great suite, comfy bed. Bathroom terriffic.. Outdoor garden & pool area very special. Private deck useful.
Review 70:Facade was nice but very tired and outdated design inside. A lot ofpotential but no care was put on featuring the beautiful garden andpool. There was no one at the desk so I felt like I walked into thewrong home. The room was as advertised, 1800s decor, but there was alarge fly on the window that I had to kill with my shoe and a strangegnat that flew onto my reading material. I hid under the sheet when Iwent to sleep. For $300 I expect so much more!
Review 71:The accommodations were excellent! The owner was so welcoming andoffered many helpful tips in touring the Napa Valley. The breakfastswere delicious! Our personal favorites were the spinach quiche and thecaramel topped french toast!
Review 72:Property needs some updating and could be a bit cleaner (there were lots of obvious cobwebs) but the bedroom and bathroom were very clean.
Review 73:Great location, friendly hosts, delicious breakfasts. Comfy bed in a very spacious room
