Reviews for Best Western - Harbour Inn & Suites
Review 1:Traffic noise from the Pacific Coast Highway - at times more like a drag strip than a city street.
Review 2:The location (aside from the traffic noise). Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 3:I didnt like that my trip was too short..Wish we had more time to stay another night.. Didn't get a chance to visit the beach located directly across the street..I did not see a plug on the balcony to play our Christmas music. Parking was a little tight but manageable.
Review 4:Renato and Juan were EXCELLENT!!, the jacuzzi room was lovely along with the view from our balcony..My fiance and I will be back.
Review 5:The evening check in clerk was clueless..I asked about a grocery store, he said there was a 711 across the street, tried to tell him what I wanted, again he said 71- was across the street. Day guy was Great!
Review 6:New, pretty, comfortable, I loved the balcony.
Review 7:We stayed at the hotel for a family reunion near by. Location was great! The hotel was easy to park and get to our room. No parking $ Our room was clean and the bed was wonderful
Review 8:The desk staff were all great. Juan was very professional and friendly. Our reservation got messed up and Booking.com dropped our entire reservation, so when we checked in we were told we would have to switch rooms after 2 nights. The staff was sympathetic and when someone cancelled, they let us stay where we were. The location was awesome - the best beach around!! Walking to the street light to cross PCH was recommended but we were always in a hurry. The traffic actually had some drivers who would stop for us to walk across. The walk to the beach was less than 2 minutes even with traffic. The sunsets were awesome. Plenty of lifeguards on the beach and restrooms right off the beach too! We went to Huntington and Newport Beach, but Sunset was the best - not crowds - no seaweed, no flies. The rooms were big with balconies. Loved having a convenience store and liquor store right across the street and several places to eat. Also, the parking lot has security cameras and an elevator right there to get your bags up easily. The hotel only has 25 rooms, which is a plus as I see it. The staff gets to know everyone. Hope to come back again. We live 12 hours away. Thank you Juan and Greg for your professional and friendly support for our entire stay (4 nights).
Review 9:I couldn't enjoy the ocean breezes due to the fact the hotel is right on Pacific Coast Highway and the traffic noise was loud. The parking was challenging but I always found a spot.
Review 10:They Inn was nice but not anything special. It was close to the wedding I was attending and close to the beach.
Review 11:Parking in garage was limited and very tight Breakfast - would be nice to have more choices TV in breakfast room stopped working on day 2 of my 8 day stay- never fixed
Review 12:Balconies and windows that opened were great Some staff better than others
Review 13:Juan at the front desk was of great help, tried always to find the best solution.
Review 14:Not the best restaurants or access to grocery store, etc, but minor
Review 15:Clean, well appointed...boutique-style hotel.
Review 16:Lack of view of the sea
Review 17:Location with parking
Review 18:The old furniture & dirty floor
Review 19:The staff, Location, Free parking, Balacony
Review 20:Room refrigerator did not have a temperature control.
Review 21:Stalk was pleasant. Updated and clean. Continental breakfast was well stocked.
Review 22:Location
Review 23:Nothing all good.
Review 24:The bed was huge, room was spaceous, bus stop just over the road. Staff very helpful.
Review 25:Slow wifi
Review 26:The room was fantastic, Close to the beach and very kind personel
Review 27:Breakfast on website shows hot food
Review 28:View, large room, decor
Review 29:*Constant Traffic noise *Poore breakfast *far away from everything nothing to do at night
Review 30:The beach was just across the road.
Review 31:all employees were Happy!
Review 32:Location is middle of nowhere.
Review 33:Quite big rooms with balcony.
Review 34:Quite ocean close by. Many places to eat and shop.
Review 35:Location.
Review 36:Everything
Review 37:No complaints
Review 38:It was excellent.
Review 39:There is alot of traffic on PCH however when considering the location this is not a problem.
Review 40:The location. The young lady at the desk when I arrived was extremely helpful. She was very friendly and very professional. Thank you for an excellent stay!
Review 41:Well everything was really good until about 11:30pm the manager was yelling to one his employees about his job duties and I thought that was inappropriate being my room was right next to the front desk! I thought he could at least took him around the corner and had a talk with him!! Not yelling!
Review 42:The location was right across the street from the Mother's Day festival and easy for me to walk too!!
Review 43:Street noise (PCH) all night long. Smell of mold in room. Toilet didn't flush well. Lights flicker. Weird bathroom arrangement- the sink was in carpeted area of bedroom, not near toilet. Parking seemed unsafe- must haul everything out of car at night. Lack of good dining in area. I thought I was booking in the much cooler Seal Beach, but because of small map view on booking.com I got stuck here accidentally.
Review 44:The rate was reasonable for being close to LA and the beaches. (~$120)
Review 45:There was no breakfast, the beds are literally like sleeping on concrete and the location says harbor or ocean views and it looks at the highway with buildings cannot see any water. The wifi was down or in and out for half our stay which was 5 nights. Way too much per night for what we got.
Review 46:The staff was nice and the location and room was nice.
Review 47:Parking is limited and can be a problem late at night.
Review 48:A cozy facility with a boutique atmosphere. Rooms where spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Staff was quick to respond to requests and a burned out light first thing in the morning so I could take a shower and get to my flight on time. Overall, I wish I could have spent more time there.
Review 49:The side road construction drilling at 7:30 every morning was a bit of a drag if your wanting to sleep in.
Review 50:Access to the beach was nice. Although a crosswalk would make it safer.
Review 51:The room was not clean and it had a bad odor. The initial check in was very unfriendly, the "breakfast" was a joke. We were scheduled to stay 5 nights and left after the first night.
Review 52:The hotel is on the Pacific Coast Highway as the address implies. Ourwindow overlooked the road and there was some traffic noise. The doubleglazing was good and the heavy window curtain cut down the noise evenfurther. At night there is little traffic and our sleep was not affected.Moral: don't stay in a hotel whose address is Church Street, orStation Road unless you don't mind bells or train noises!
Review 53:Friendly welcome, helpful staff, good WiFi, breakfast was ok, parkingeasy below the hotel. I read the previous poor reviews and was nervousthat we might find the same but we did not. I would stay there again. They had a special offer with the very local King Neptune restaurent.$55 for a dinner for 2 including wine. Recommended too.
Review 54:This motel was not @ Huntington Beach which is where I wanted to stay.It came up on Booking.com under Huntington Beach. It is actually locatedin Sunset Beach which only showed up after I had booked the room. I waashocked I was not staying @ the Best Western in Huntington Beach. Theroom smelled strongly of deodorizer, was right on the noisy PacificCoast Hwy,was disingenuous about the location and the picture showed andI believed stated the hotel was on the beach and it was not.
Review 55:Almost everything! The staff could not control extremely loud revelersat 2 am in the morning in the hall by many guest rooms. The carpet wastorn, ragged and dirty. The breakfast was muffins in celophane, coffee, small yogurt and milk. Not even toast! The cost was way too high forsuch poor amenities. It was not in Huntington Beach! That was extremelymisleading as it and Sunset Beach, where this hotel is located, aremiles apart in class and environment!
Review 56:Comfortable bed
Review 57:Not enough parking for our group
Review 58:Toilet had to be flushed 5 or 6 times to empty contents. Had to go to desk 4 or 5 times to get our keys-redone.
Review 59:Loved that we were one block from the beach. The facilities were older but well kept and clean.
Review 60:Pet friendly! Easy access to grassy lot for the dog.
Review 61:Carpet worn. Dim lighting in room and bathroom. Towels were frayed.
Review 62:Size of the room. Location to the beach. Off street parking
Review 63:Parking tight. Carpet worn. Sliding closet doors off track. Safe not usable.
Review 64:Big rooms. Comfortable beds. Small hotel. Convenient location.
Review 65:Location and value
Review 66:location worked great for us and the staff was very nice and helpful
Review 67:On a busy street
Review 68:No points to indicate
Review 69:Nice hotel with good location we have been there 3nights and will definitely stay again if will decide to visit Sunset beach
