Reviews for Sunriver Resort
Review 1:Everything was great.
Review 2:The room was spacious - and we loved the fireplace. Everything was super clean and neat. The bed was excellent - very comfortable. It was New Year's Eve, so there was a lot of activities scheduled. It was nice to be provided with a shuttle.
Review 3:The room was OK but not great. We enjoyed the fireplace and it was needed as the room was extremely cold and drafty. It was a poorly designed room and really not comfortable for being there 6 days. It might have been better in warmer weather and for a shorter stay. The other complaint I have is that since we were on the bottom floor we heard the noise of people walking up the wooden stairs and walkway quite a bit and there was noise from the room above as there seemed to be little insulation. I would think it would be a problem at a busier season.
Review 4:We enjoyed the location for its beauty and serenity. Also enjoyed being near the golf and good restaurants (mainly the great pub).
Review 5:We were upgraded to a loft suite with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen and a fireplace. Very nice! Shuttle transportation around the resort is very convenient and the drivers are always friendly.
Review 6:Quiet and uncrowded resort, with all the amenities you could ask for. Huge and comfortable suite of rooms. Very helpful staff, particularly the concierge.
Review 7:coffeemaker in the kitchen would have preferred a proper coffee maker, was also put off with the price of a round of golf so much so that we choose not to play. Would have thought that there would have been a guest rate for people staying at the facility.
Review 8:Excellent facility, really enjoyed our stay
Review 9:The room was nice, but our room had 2 double beds. It was a really tight squeeze for all of us, and we didn't sleep well because of it.
Review 10:We loved the facility, especially the pool.
Review 11:Not enough staff so poor service, concierge seldom there to help, phone for shuttle not answered often, check in at six is ridiculous and not advertised well, and bedspread weighs so much it is not usable.
Review 12:Coffee machine too difficult to operate.
Review 13:Lovely vew from our porch of golf course and mountains. Comfortable porch furniture, beautifully decorated room.
Review 14:Food at the lodge restaurant was not very good. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken breast, Salad was just ok; chicken was horrible - one of those pre-grilled frozen breasts that's microwaved then thrown on top of a salad. Very disappointing.
Review 15:The people staying next to us had young adults with them that were loud and ran all over our private deck to get to theirs.
Review 16:Our room was exactly like what I saw online! We wanted a view of nature and we were very happy with what we received!
Review 17:Pretty much everything. Most facilities weren't open and the place was under construction. Right outside our window and everywhere. Two "queen" beds were tiny; I had asked for a king. Everyone kept apologizing, but that just isn't enough. I'll never go again. Way to expensive for what you get--including the food!!
Review 18:Location could have been good, if everything was open and the entire damn place wasn't under construction.
Review 19:Our room was beautiful. Recently remodeled with high quality fixtures and furnishings. The grounds of this property are beautiful, many walking/biking paths.
Review 20:I was offered an upgrade to the room for more $, which I took. An executive king…what a disappointment. The sound proofing was non existent, the tub and shower pics are NOTHING like the pics advertised, the room was very small. Don't bother with the upgrade and for the $ we spent we could've stayed at the Oxford in Bend.
Review 21:The main lodge area was beautiful, the wait staff in the Merchant Trader amazing, the Sage Spa a wonderful treat!
Review 22:Everything was closed and there wasn't anything for the kids to do. The kids weren't allowed in the spa or pool area. The staff at the spa treated the kids like they were unwanted and a bother. They were unkind. We won't return it was not a family friendly resort we were disaponted.
Review 23:Nothing. In all our stays we discover something fun and different each time.
Review 24:This resort is where we go to relax and recharge. The perfect place to do so. Park the car and don't get back in it. The Spa is the best we have found. The staff is courteous and kind, well trained to meet your needs. Stores are fun to shop. Learned of holiday "Traditions", now our new tradition, every other year, because of work. We will be back. Highly recommend.
Review 25:There was a queue for breakfast.
Review 26:We only spent one night at the resort and managed to let behind my iPad. The staff at Sunriver Resort could not have been more helpful in posting it to the hotel we would be staying next! I do appreciate their kindness and professionalism.
Review 27:We were upgraded cause they overbooked. The room we originally selected was small and cozy on purpose, they upgraded us to a larger two level loft. Not romantic at all. The Resort Fee and Assessment Fee was outrageous for amenities we did not use as we were only there for 2 nights.
Review 28:Very scenic and had a nice shopping village right next door.
Review 29:The resort fee which added a significant cost since I did not use the facilities. We were not made aware of what the fee would have provided us or what we could use because we were paying that fee. Traveling the distance (Indiana) and having the fee added gave me a negative perception when checking out. Disclosure upfront would have been more business like and seeing it on my bill at the end. Yes I may bring someone back in 2 years but only after I tell them about the added fees. The TV situation not working made it more significant since the fee was added.
Review 30:The setting, the possibilities for doing different things, the view, and the attendance of staff to requests.
Review 31:Our room smelled a bit like a barn but the place is old so I get it. The carpet had stains and the shower was pretty weird, no shower door- just some glass that only covered the front half of the tub.
Review 32:Loved the lodge and the grand room- beautiful for a wedding. The grounds are immaculate!
Review 33:The room looked very used - carpet dirty. Could hear a lot from adjoining rooms. Disappointed with room for the price.
Review 34:The amazing natural beauty of the area
Review 35:they didn't have our reservation and said I should have called. Room not ready so couldn't get in until 5:30. The suite was not at all as pictured on web site and was rather run down. No one said sorry for the mix up. I didn't like it.
Review 36:local shops and activities
Review 37:carpet looked old and worn, sofa, armchairs and diningtable chairs had stains, hair and crumbs on it, armrests felt sticky. Upholstered furniture needs replacing, expensive.
Review 38:location, amenities, large rooms, renovated kitchen and bathroom counters, wide open space feeling on golfcourse, parking proximity, quiet at night
Review 39:Restaurants were expensive and took for ever go get served, service qas great but 2.5 hours from dinner to bill at a PUB was to much. We experienced that quite a bit.
Review 40:Loved all the places to bike ride that was the best part of the trip for us
Review 41:Free 24 hour Shuttle to anywhere in Sun river!! We had 10 different families renting all different homes, condos, lodge rooms etc. The free shuttle was fast and got us all around, the place is large and confusing to navigate even with a map and especially at night. This service was fantastic! and the drivers were all very knowledgeable and nice.
Review 42:At check-in we were assigned accommodations not what we'd reserved--farther away from lodge area, but described as bigger. We wanted what we'd reserved; management worked hard to accommodate us and make it right. The original experience was very negative and upsetting but it was resolved very fairly and we would return.
Review 43:Great location for golf, biking and access to rafting. Lots of food options in the Village--Brew Pub is great! Sun Country tours for Big Eddy. SunRiver Market has excellent deli and full grocery for food items.
Review 44:Lack of enough towel sets for the number of individuals scheduled for the lodge. There were 6 of us as scheduled but there were only three sets of towels upon our evening check-in. More sets were brought over late evening upon request.
Review 45:Staff was attentive, pleasant and helpful. Grounds were beautiful and well-kept. Spa experience excellent!
Review 46:loved the location and the snow. Great lil place to stay. warm friendly service at the lodge also.
Review 47:the value for money.
Review 48:the idea of the shuttles, the location, the activities.
Review 49:All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, even though they were quite busy. The music concert was wonderful.
Review 50:Nothing to complain about
Review 51:Staff are excellent, facility is tops!
Review 52:Friendly ans courteous staff. Many outdoor activities to choose. Local shuttle bus to assist us.
Review 53:Almost no wifi in the apartment.
Review 54:Great location. Good pool.
Review 55:The room was tiny and needing an update. The restaurant was under staffed.
Review 56:We loved the balcony being on the golf course.
Review 57:poor quality. Too expensive for what you got.
Review 58:location
Review 59:Bike paths, pool,observatory
Review 60:The house keeping is so bad, they left mop, cleaner in the room for two times.
Review 61:Great resort, very relaxing place
Review 62:Traveling with our dog is something we do quite often. We liked Sunriver because it is a pet friendly resort.

Review 80:Fireplace Kerrigan coffee maker Mini fridge Location to village and bike paths
Review 81:Loved the ambiance of the the gas fireplace in our room!
Review 82:Really late check in
Review 83:Really comfortable beds
Review 84:Loved that they offered an additional sleeping option for my 3 year old. The stone fireplace made the room. Wonderful short getaway.
Review 85:The facilities were older than I anticipated.
Review 86:The facilities were very comfortable. The staff was excellent.
Review 87:bathrooms small
Review 88:staff, surroundings, facilities
Review 89:Being able to walk and bike to several areas.
Review 90:We loved it all!
Review 91:Beautiful room facing the golf course. Deck to sit on and enjoy the wonderful weather. Gas fireplace with very comfortable bed and high quality bedding! Comfy bathrobes provided. Really enjoyed our stay and will return.
Review 92:TV and cable box do not work together well. We had to unplug tv daily to get them to work at all. And then on the HD channels the audio did not work.
Review 93:Great walking paths. Lots of things to do. Many good restaurants.
Review 94:Guest rooms were a little small, but nice.
Review 95:We enjoyed the area, location, golf, food and overall atmosphere. Friendliness of all staff was outstanding.
Review 96:$75 Pet fee. Seems a little excessive for one night.
Review 97:The ultimate in resorts. Catered to our every wish, including makingsure our dog was happy.I ended up changing our reservations with booking.com.. Unfortunately, the resort never received the changes, so we did not get the king view lodge room we expected. Sunriver upgraded us to a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath condo instead. shucks!
Review 98:I made reservations for $239 per night + taxes, but was never informed there was an additional $35. I didn't appreciate the surprise.
Review 99:It is beautiful, people are friendly, the bicycle paths so fun. So much to do outdoors and the lodging was wonderful! And the gym, sauna, spa, etc were great!
Review 100:We stayed in one of the Lodge units with a loft - better lighting is needed - it felt dark inside. We visited the weekend before Memorial Day and the hours in the dining room were too limited.
Review 101:I loved the variety of activities that were available and that are choices for people of every age and activity level. The SHARC is excellent and the facilities at the Sage are top notch.
Review 102:We were upgraded to extremely high end rooms where you could sit on the back patio facing the golf course or could just walk out the back door directly to the driving range. Excellent gas fireplace as well
Review 103:No problems, other than the fact that I was not aware that the king roomswere floor level and upper. Would have prefered upper with vaultedceiling and no one stomping above us.The room was not what we saw online, but we were not dissatisfied with it's beauty and luxuries.Weloved are stay.
Review 104:From the time of arrival,to the day we left the service andfriendlieness was always first rate.We stayed in the off season where Imight had thought things would be a little relaxed and service not whatwe would have hoped.Suprise are stay was excellent, from thelounge, restaurant food/Prime rib Best I've had, gift shop and the bestshuttle service. The Woodlands course was my B-day gift to myself, thanksto Don a member who really showed me the beauty and appreciation of thecourse. When we left we were more than pleased,We'll surely return
Review 105:The room. Very small. Inadequate lighting - and then not all lights worked. Inadequate outlets - had to choose between plugging in table lamp or my computer. The sink was way too low - at thigh level. Shower/tub faucet was so hard to turn on it took an act of excise to complete. Cobwebs in bathroom. Sticking substance on table top. Bed was way too soft. No operable windows or screen on door - if wanted to let in fresh air need to leave deck door open, free for any of the outside wildlife to come in.
Review 106:The setting and the grounds - walking/biking paths, wildlife, vegetation.
Review 107:The restaraunt, bar and pool service were very poor. We were served cold coffee, had to get our own waters on another occasion and went without any pool service as they sent the staff home due to thudnerstorm threats. Those threats passed by noon and the pool was full of guests without any Sunriver staff all afternoon. I asked for a manager (Scott) to come and visit with my wife (as we were having dinner at the restaraunt) about these unfortunate experiences, he never showed. We weren't the only guests who were disappointed with the same issues.
Review 108:Great location, scenery.
Review 109:The resort has an pool area called sharc, I strongly suggest that theresort place more shaded areas so that people that want shade and notbake in the sun have an option.
Review 110:It is located in a beatiful area of Central Oregon and close the Bendor. I encourage others to visit the resort and the High Desert Museum.
Review 111:For a four or five star resort, reception desk left much to be desired. We were given keys, with Rm 235 written on envelope. Went to 235...keysdidn't work. Went back to desk, got a different associate, who did notcheck reservation, simply rekeyed to 235. Back to 235, to find itoccupied! Back to the desk, to yet a third clerk, who this time hadsense enough to compare reservation to what first clerk wrote. We werein 325, not 235. Clerk #1 wrote it down wrong. It should not have takenthree trips and not one of the three said "sorry"....it was just Oh, ok,
Review 112:Amenities and bike paths are great. Stayed in a house after one night inthe resort. House was great, Very well appointed, very clean, lots oflittle extras.
Review 113:Lovely scenery and relaxed atmosphere in lodging and surroundings. Wellmaintained, excellent staff, and lots to do at the Resort and in theimmediate area.
Review 114:A straight back chair at the desk was more for decor than comfort. Aheat lamp in the bathroom would have been welcomrd. Having the Meadowsclosed for dinner was a major disappointment.
Review 115:Everyone on the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed wasexcellent and the room was nicely furnished.
Review 116:Bed and pillows are terrible, you sleep like in a hammock... Very overpriced overall.
Review 117:Very expensive
Review 118:Beautiful location
Review 119:Facility run down. Rotted trim, flaking paint. Room too small for double queen bed.
Review 120:Settings
Review 121:Nothing really, enjoyed our stay. Only for 1 night though
Review 122:Excellent location Great food
Review 123:Cleanliness in the bar area by windows very dusty which makes one wonder about other areas.
Review 124:location... room...
Review 125:No microwave in room. Toilet bowl was dirty under rim. Room smelled wet.
Review 126:Lodge@check in was impressive.
Review 127:Large amounts of garbage underneath back deck. No step from deck to lawn.
Review 128:Scenery and food and golf
