Review 1：proximity to PCH and poor insulation resulted in car noise all night long. We could also hear other guest partying and arguing on the stairwell - poor soundproofing

Review 2：The female clerk was rude, argumentative and bossy, telling me that I was forced to pay and stay for the entire week I had booked! She tried to sell me a more expensive room, and my room was extremely small and loud from highway, elevator and guest noise all night long! Booking.com should not handle this hotel - it is bad for its reputation - and I will refrain from using Booking. com in the future!

Review 6：Room was rather shabby, in great need of remodeling. Furniture old and not in good shape, fabric on chairs really needed to be cleaned. Traffic noise was loud unless you had air / heating unit turned on. Can only see a tiny part of ocean if you stand in a certain spot.

Review 8：Clean, quiet, excellent location for those loving the beach, convenient location for shopping, and of course not that comfortable but with the fridge, coffee maker and a microwave difficult to beat deal. Of course one can complain about the furniture but the bathroom is clean (relatively new) and the bed and sheets are new, internet connection excellent what will provide to you an excellent value for the money for those who will be most of the time outside sightseeing, swimming or shopping.

Review 9：When we arrived to check in the owner/ guy at the front desk was pretty unwelcoming and rude. Acted like he didn't want to rent us the room I reserved.

Everything went fine, but I think that if you ask money or some damage i could do, you should verify BEFORE I leave and then void the CC bill before my eyes. Anyway, everything ok

Review 20：Worst hotel I've stayed in, when I got there the lady was very rude and she charged me more that she quoted on the phone, 100.00$ more. She first charged me then showed me the total, then I said I didn't want to room anymore and she wouldn't put the money back in my account. Second the room smelt bad and was very over priced for the room. Please read all the reviews and don't stay there. They are rude I feel they just want to rip off honest people. They shouldn't run a hotel. Bad customer service and you feel so unwelcomed.

Review 30：The staff was not friendly at all. They seemed annoyed whenever we asked for information and made us feel unwelcome. The place is very rundown and dirty. It might be close to the beach, but definitely not worth the 142 dollars we payed per night. We could hear people having conversations and going up and down the stairs all night long, and didn't get to sleep at all. It was horrible!!! I wish NEVER to come across another place like it.

Review 36：The front desk staff was rude and unfriendly. The guy was chewing his food when he came out after we rang the bell and waited for someone to come out and assist us. He didn't greet us and seemed to care less about customer service and making us feel welcome. When we told him we had a reservation, he placed a blank card on the counter and walked away. Then some other unfriendly lady came upfront and just looked at us with a blank look like we were bothering her or interrupted her nap or something. She had me complete registration all over again even though I booked it online and already provided everything including credit card information. The room smelled like urine and there but a few cheap amenities. No hair dryer, no tissue, no lotion, no conditioner, no iron or ironing board. The toilet paper is cheap and worthless. I asked for extra towels and pillows, but did not get anything. The pillows are hard with no support; we slept terrible and woke up with stuff necks. The traffic on PCH highway is very noisy, disruptive to sleep. The furniture is old and scratched, the bathroom mirror is rusty and the room is very small. I asked for two double beds and they gave me a king. This place sucks and smells and the service is horrendous. What a waste of my money! This is the first visit to a motel and it is my last. Never again! I will definitely stick with 4 & 5 star hotels thank you!

Review 50：The shower went from extremely hot to scalding hot. On my daughter's wedding day I couldn't finish my shower because my skin was turning pink from the heat. My husband couldn't take a shower at all! The floors were so dirty I cleaned them with a bathroom towel, and was scolded by the receptionist for using a 'good' towel, instead of getting an apology.

Review 51：The front desk lady was the rudest I have ever met. I gave my tip to housekeeping in person because I believe the office would steal the tip. This attitude made for an unpleasant sray

The room smelled, the bathroom mirror was rusted, the tub was made for a tiny person, the shower head looked like it was molding. The room was straight from a scary movie!! And I paid almost a hundred dollars for it. Regretted it as soon as I checked in at the front desk which had the same smell as the room. I literally wanted to throw up when I walked in and saw how dirty it was. Book it if you dare! Not for the faint of heart.

Review 78：My friends had old French fries from the previous occupants in there microwave and stains on their pillows! Yuck! Not the mention the staff, they were terrible and mocked us, then threatened us with the fact they have our credit cards in file! Never staying here again.

In the end we had to stay because they said we had already been charged and wouldn't get our money back from Booking.com - what a joke. Don't stay here!

Review 101：The hotel is situated right on the 'Pacific Highway' and traffic is heavy and moving fast making exiting the car park hazardous. The building is old and in need of a facelift.

Review 102：Reasonably central to our extended family in the area. Close to the beach, but beach access is quite a long walk and the 'Ocean View' is blocked by housing. The staff were kind and helpful when we were involved in a road traffic accident.~

Review 111：Don't even know where to begin! Worst place of all time for me. First of all, forget sleeping, the PCH (pacific coas highway) is located just outside your door! Noise is crazy loud in the rooms. We didn't sleep more than 4 hours any of the nights we stayed. Staff and people running the place are extremely rude. I think they never heard of the concept service-minded! The rooms are out dated and very dirty! There are spots in the rooms that have never been cleaned, like behind the TV. Never seen so much dust in my life. I could go on forever, but I guess you have probably got my point by now. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone, not even to travelers that are extremely price sensitive. There are some other options in the immediate surrounding that are much much better for the same or similar price!

Review 121：The owners required a $200. damage deposit before renting the room for one night. They showed me a notice on the website that forewarned of this. However, the wording of the notice seemed related to reserving the room in advance, not a damage deposit. They planned to charge it to my card, and refund it 3-4 days after the maid OK'd the condition of the room after check-out. I didn't want that charge holding up my cash, so I went to the bank & withdrew $200. for the deposit. When I asked for a receipt, the owner acted surprised, stating I had to "trust" it would be returned when they inspected the room the next morning. I thought that was ironic given that they weren't trusting me not to damage the room. Clearly the owners have had experiences with the rooms being damaged, perhaps by partying beach goers, but it seemed a little bizarre for a 62 year old woman with her adult daughter. The second irony was that then the TV didn't work, but they quickly responded & replaced the batteries in the remote. The room was very worn out, the bathroom smelled like mildew. The photo associated with the motel on Booking.com was taken from another location as the view from the motel was Highway one & businesses across the street, not the ocean. I felt that the quality of the motel was misrepresented in the ad. I would have rather paid more money & stayed at a place without the frustrations. The money was returned in the morning without problem, but overall it was not a very pleasant experience & I'm really glad I was only staying one night.

Review 123：The location.it's 8miles from Hutington beach. Very old scratched furniture. Light fixture very old and not working properly. Old bed sheets. No peace due to traffic noise. There is no ocean view. The bathrooms are tiny in order to close the door you have to jump inside the tub. Rude staff. I can keep going but to make my story short I will just say I never go back to this hotel. The area is not tourist friendly.

Review 127：The first morning there was a knock on the door followed 2 seconds later with the door opening. We yelled out asking who is it, but the door began to open and we saw it was a man of east Indian origin (presumably the husband of the woman who checked us in). We were both in bed and when he saw us he quickly closed the door without a word or an apology. We assumed he worked there but half an hour later housekeeping knocked and we told her we did not need the room cleaned, then an hour later housekeeping knocked again and we repeated our request. Perhaps Do Not Disturb signs would be a good investment.
