Reviews for Cape Cod Inn

Review 1:The room was a bit small and had a smell of "old". The TV could be updated to a flat screen

Review 2:I liked that the motel is located on Main street. We were able to walk to all destinations.

Review 3:Breakfast area is the connecting bar and is a bit shabby, however, we where there in August so we're able to eat outside on the terrace.

Review 4:Nice friendly staff and free parking on site.

Review 5:Our bathroom window didn't lock so that was a little scary since a lot of activity happenes behind the hotel. ICE machine didnt work either but for the money it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Review 6:sticky tabletops of the pub/restaurant associated with the property

Review 7:Beds were very comfortable, adequate continental breakfast; central to Hyannis, easy walk out on the strip for shops and restaurants; 5 minute walk to the ferry docks for ferries to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard

Review 8:Wi-Fi wasn't good. Beds were so-so. Breakfast was weak

Review 9:Location was right on Main Street. It was a quick walk to the Ferries and about a mile and a half to the beach.

Review 10:I was sad the indoor pool is no longer in service as the website suggests.

Review 11:The recent upgrades to the rooms are very nice. It is a comfortable place at a decent rate and the location is perfect if you want to park and walk the area. No car needed.

Review 12:If you like strolling around Main Street, Hyannis, this is the place to be- right in the middle of the downtown nightlife. Its priced about right for what the Inn has to offer. Staff, though, needs to be more knowlegeable in terms of the nice places to go to in Cape Cod. Stay at the far end of the Inn though.

Review 13:Weak continental breakfast for the price of a one night stay. I would've enjoyed maybe a waffle or pancake machine and not just cereal and plain bagels.

Review 14:The location was excellent. The staff and service was awesome.

Review 15:The pool was broken, the rooms and the whole place were dated. The walls were 'thin', so every little outside noise was heard.

Review 16:The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and had all the things we needed. The location is great. right in the middle of Hyannis main street. Easy walk to anywhere in the area.

Review 17:This motel was very disappointing especiallly for the price of it. The room smelled awful, a cross between an elderly home and just plain dirty. The tub had mold everywhere. This motel said there was a pool..well the pool was there but did not have any water in it. Very sketchy people around as well.

Review 18:Location was great. It was walking distance to many restaurants/bars. Very close to the Cape Cod Melody Tent. (reason for our trip)

Review 19:This hotel is beat. The metal stairs to the second floor were badly rusted with two steps replaced with pressure treated lumber bolted to the sides. The upstairs railings were also rusted and I wouldn't trust them to hold anyone. The room was in need of a makeover. The carpet was torn, walls scuffed, bathtub had mold, TV remote volume control didn't work..... They have an empty pool house filled with junk that was our "view" from the bathroom window. We didn't even attempt the breakfast as it was in their bar/restaurant that smelled and was dark/dingy. Others have reviewed this hotel and gave it good ratings. I have stayed in many hotels and this was one of the worse. Certainly the rear portion of the building where we stayed should be completely renovated.

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:no comfy outdoor lounging area. Not able to open windows securely for fresh air or light and retain privacy.

Review 22:Central location. Walking distance to lots of things. The Duck Inn in front open to sidewalk was a friendly neighborhood hangout with live music and motley bunch of locals to chat with. Room was nice, clean and comfy.

Review 23:The man in charge was kind enough to wake up out of his sleep at 2am tocheck my boyfriend and I in. Unfortunately my boyfriend had to work theday we were suppose to check in and we ended up traveling later thanexpected. The bed was very comfortable and kept clean.

Review 24:None.

Review 25:Clean and affordable. Customer service was also great in that my check in was late and the clerk didn't mind getting out of his bed to allow me to check in for which I was thankful after travelling several hours.

Review 26:Manager stated the time for breakfast and pointed out the location. We showed up at appointed time only to find the office and breakfast room locked. We had paid extra.

Review 27:It was great being able to walk to all Hyannis attractions.

Review 28:The room could have been more up to date. The tv was old and did not work very well. The free continental breakfast lacked variety.

Review 29:Although the room was a bit outdated, it was quite clean and did meet our needs fine. It is very conveniently located within walking distance to very nice resturants, a 7/11 and the ferry to Nantucket. Parking was great. Low cost at the time we went (near the end of May). There is an attached bar and patio area if you want a late drink.

Review 30:Pool wasn't in order and nobody said anything. Can get noisy in that area

Review 31:Right on Main Street. Upgraded furnishings. Breakfast wasn't bad but just ok.

Review 32:We travel by public transport so the location near the transport hub was very convenient. The manager was always very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were kept beautifully clean. We recommend this Inn.

Review 33:Ice machine outside didn't work.

Review 34:Located on a great street. Small motel style, and did not disappoint. Quiet night sleep. Close to all the restaurants and gift shops. Not bad.

Review 35:I do not have any complaints.

Review 36:My boyfriend and I stayed one night and were celebrating our anniversary. It was a lovely room and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a very relaxing and good time here.

Review 37:Where do I start?! This motel is very old, tatty, drab and extremely uncomfortable. The rooms are dark. The bed is so bad I have had a sore neck since. The shower was good. The breakfast was awful. No black tea. Tepid coffee. The bread and bagels were not fresh and the container they were in smelled of mouldy bread.

Review 38:Location

Review 39:The condition of the back patio & the Pool area, needs work!

Review 40:This Inn is right where you want to be, Main Street, walking distance to the ferries, great shopping.

Review 41:Mold on shower curtain it was black if ac wasn't on room stunk and couldn't sleep be cause of the people upstairs were trying to see if they could break the bed and come thru the ceiling sorry will not be back and too bad locations is good

Review 42:The railings were rusty as you walked up the stairs. Carpeting was ripped. Temporary(I think) boards on stairs. In the bathroom, looked like part of the ceiling was coming down. Drainage problems.Woman at the desk was not the least bit friendly to me.

Review 43:LOCATION and clean.....but that's it.

Review 44:Customer service was poor. The place could be more cleaner than it was. Microvave could be added so as to warm food at night. Wifi was so slow.

Review 45:The location is good cause it's near to all places of interest.

Review 46:People were very friendly. The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere. It was labor day weekend so there was plenty to do. We felt very safe and comfortable. This was the first time staying at this Inn and we would definitely stay again.

Review 47:The bed had a blood stain on it, the help told me i had to get out by 10AM, i look in the iNTERNET I HAD TO GET OUT BY 11am....ME AND THE WIFE WAS HAVING COFFEE at the bar the help told us we could not stay there because the bar only by 10AM...after that another people came in and the Manager never said that to them...i felt umiliated....some guys was making lot'sof noise until 2AM the manager never said nothing to them, so you could not sleep....etc.

Review 48:Was on main street.

Review 49:Facility is run down and dated. We were in a room under stairs. Every day our view was a linen cart full of dirty towels and sheets shoved under the stairs. Room smelled like it had mold. Old television.

Review 50:Location and free WiFi

Review 51:The dirty room the grounds unkept the blue carpet outside the narrow stairs u can't walk up with a suitcase

Review 52:First view u pull up to the location being coned off and asked if checking in when u view the office it has a ripped overhead and the stairs are all rusty and cracked and the walkway is covered in a blue carpet even though it's outside. The stairs are narrow and I had to lug my suitcase behind me up the steps to open a room that was not cleaned full of beer cans and water bottles n unmade beds we were given a new room which was clean but had a junk tube TV in it not to mention the wifi was horrific for what I paid for 2 nights I should have been in a 4 star hotel

Review 53:First of all I booked it for 3 adults and a little child ( 2 double beds). I had on my search 3 adults and 1 child, the hotel charged me extra for the adult. Not sure how these electronic system work, but the system automatcly changed it for 2 adults and 2 kids ( for me it was tricky). I don't consider what they call breakfast as a breakfast. The poorest breakfast ever. And you eat it in a dark bar. I don't think they clean the brown conforter that you see on the pictures. I saw them cleaning the roons next to me after guests checked out and the only thing I saw on their bags was sheets and towels ( white stuff). I wanted to get sick when I thought I was sleeping for 3 days with the same blanket that someone else used! Disgusting!! Ugh!! When I was leaving for the beach I asked them to change mine after I saw that. When I came back from the beach I found blackets thrown on the bed, obviously, I didnt think they were clean, or different.

Review 54:The outside of the facility really needs a facelift. One of the stairs going to the second floor was loose. Because we were just using it to sleep it was ok for what we were looking for, but would probably not stay here again.

Review 55:I liked the location. We could walk out of our room and be in the center of town- shops, restaurants, etc. The room was clean but the ouside appearance is very unappealing.

Review 56:the Inn had plenty of parking, as saturday night was busy. My daughter and I enjoyed waking to shopping, restaurants, boat cruises, everything is so close to the Inn. The owner was very kind and gracious. I am a Marriott rewards member and told her that I was reluctant to stay anywhere else. I was pleased with my visit and will return again.... thank you for your hospitality. S.M.Foley

Review 73:Location is great. Easy to park car. Staff very helpful.

Review 74:Parking lot

Review 75:Place was very tired. TV was old, towels were paper thin and facecloth was shredded.

Review 76:Beds were comfortable. Convenient to downtown and ferries.

Review 77:The room wasn't comfortable. Drain in the bathtub was jammed. The bed squeeked. There was a bandaid on the ceiling.

Review 91:load neibourhood

Review 92:good location, very helpful staff

Review 93:Allowing late night parties and gatherings while guests are trying to sleep...

Review 94:location

Review 95:Cold water shower

Review 96:Bedspread was stained, carpet was stained and bathtub was stained.

Review 97:noisy, shabby, wifi was spotty, the TV only got 1 station and the shower had drain issues

Review 98:proximity to town

Review 99:It wasn't the best quality, but we were comfortable.

Review 100:We were right on Main Street, within easy walking distance to stores and restaurants.

Review 101:Other Guests were hanging out in hall ways making noise and partying. This was encouraged by the facility providing chairs for this purpose. Stairway and aisles are too narrow. My room had small old analog TV with limited channels. Too many homeless types on Main st....not the fault of the Cape Cod Inn, but a problem for this city. I have another reservation booked, but now thinking about cancelling.

Review 102:Centrally located and convenient.

Review 103:The only drawback was the attached resturant/bar which is owned by someone else. website is a bit misleading. With the cold weather no outdoor dining.

Review 104:Staff was accommodating - stayed before high season. Room and furnishings were new, clean and bathroom excellent condition. Would stay again if in that area.

Review 105:Rooms open out into car park, which is easily accessed from the Main Street. Very thin walls, can hear people above and nearby. Reception- basic service. When arrived was asked for ID and credit card, payment was taken then and there, not explained, and handed room key.

Review 106:Good location on Main Street. Handy if you get the bus in from Boston. Hyannis Transport Centre is a 5-7 minute walk (even with suitcases!).

Review 107:Was great for sightseeing and exploring the downtown, as it's right in the middle of the Main Street 'strip', and close to the harbor. The rooms were nicely modern, looked recently updated, spacious, comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 108:We were there a couple of nights and both mornings the drivers of coaches in the car park felt the need to rev their engines loudly! Weren't going anywhere, just making a noise! Not the hotel's fault.

Review 109:Excellent staff. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Very reasonable price.

Review 110:Other reviews complain about rusty stairs, yes they are, but in sea air things do rust. For what you pay and where you are it's not a big deal.If rusty stairs will ruin your stay then pay more and go elsewhere!

Review 111:Lady on reception very friendly, huge room, great central location, good price, able to make your own waffles for breakfast. Great pizza from place nextdoor. Short walk to get ferry to Nantucket.

Review 112:Nothing, really. Not fancy/luxury, but that's not what we were looking for.

Review 113:Staff friendly & helpful, facility clean, breakfast more than adequate, price reasonable, good location, easy parking.

Review 114:This was a glorified motel and the building has seen better days. The stairs up to the room were so rusted, I was worried that they would collapse.

Review 115:The room was recently updated and clean. The location was in the heart of downtown.

Review 116:Well priced. Clean and modern. Adequate breakfast. In a great position to walk to eateries - right in town and a 10 minute walk to where the boats leave for the Islands. Great value.

Review 117:We stayed in Cape Cod Inn for 2 days.Overall everything is ok, except breakfast is very poor. They have coffee, milk, waffle, bagels and cereals. No fruits.

Review 118:I love nature/wildlife and it isn't far from where i live. we could make a day trip to Cape cod.

Review 119:Motel exterior run down. Stairs to our room didn't look safe. But if you are looking for a budget motel then this fits the bill.

Review 120:Great location on Main Street. Staff was very nice.

Review 121:The bathroom was literally falling apart. The floor tiles were coming up, the bathtub was rotting and moldy.

Review 122:The location offered a lot within walking distance.
