Reviews for Meadowood Napa Valley

Review 1:nothing. I would still be there if I didn't have a life to get back to.

Review 2:great amenities and facilities, but very few guests to mingle with. makes you feel like the place was open just for you. Spa facility was particularly good. Staff everywhere were extremely nice, knowledgeable and offered more that was asked for.

Review 3:Given this hotel is part of the Chateaux Relais group you have to like the pampering to the extreme

Review 4:Fantastic facilities with a lot of alternatives for dining , great sporting facilities (which given the weather we did not use) and a professional staff

Review 5:a lot of traffic to get there from SFO! The restaurant is far from a 3 stars restaurant and very expensive, food fancy but not special and wines not of great quality.

Review 6:location, rooms, service

Review 7:Weren't there long enough to take advantage of all amenities. Many steps to climb to get to our room.

Review 8:Outstanding service, luxurious accommodations.

Review 9:Let's be honest---you pay for the luxury. Meadowood is perfect in every single way, but you can't argue that it is a good value for the money. It's expensive.

Review 10:Having stayed in gorgeous hotels throughout Europe and the US, I can confidently say that Meadowood is absolutely the most amazing place I have ever stayed. There just simply wasn't a detail they overlooked--from the fireplace perfectly laid out with matches to the luxuriously soft sheets. I loved every single detail, the staff was a nice as they could be, and the little extras like a resort car at your disposal or a cocktail hour were just sublime. If I could have afforded it, I would still be there today (I'd probably get my husband and kids to join me. Probably)

Review 11:First time we visited for golf, the course was under repair earlier this year. This time, the first & ninth holes were under repair & unavailable. Wish someone had notified us when we reserved our tee times ahead. A bit of a disappointment.

Review 12:Weather, room (except for location up too many steps) and golf

Review 13:For a double room, a queen bed is rather small. Most couples are used to a king bed, and there was space for a king. It was, however, a very comfortable bed.

Review 14:The staff were exceptionally attentive, helpful and polite. The whole ambience of Meadowood left us with fond memories. The woodpeckers tapping on our roof each morning was a wonderful alternative to an alarm clock!

Review 15:Seated in the hills above St. Helena, Meadowood is a beautiful, secluded property with the finest food, accommodations, hospitality and amenities. 3-Michelin starred restaurant? Check. Fretted linens? Check. Cozy fireplace? Check. Complimentary water, wifi and afternoon wine reception? Check. Top-notch swimming, tennis, croquet and golf facilities? Check, check, check and check. Pricey, but worth the splurge.

Review 16:Nothing!

Review 17:Super comfortable bed, excellent food in the Grille, great work space, well stocked mini bar (nice wine selection!), great fire place, spacious room, hot hot tub, warm pool (January), very nice staff everywhere. Really could not be any better...

Review 18:We were disappointed in the cable/television reception and movie offerings. The digital cable froze often and on a day when college football was the show to watch we did not get ESPN reception at all.

Review 19:Beautiful setting. Loved the quiet surroundings. Enjoyed hiking around the property, a glass of wine on our deck, and the wonderful wood burning fireplace. Everyone that worked at Meadowood was wonderful, kind, helpful and happy!

Review 20:We got several bug bites while at the facility. Not sure if they were while we were outside transitioning between the The Restaurant and our room or if they happened in our room, we found a few spiders in our room, including in the tub and on the bed (!).

Review 21:Luxury in the traditional sense.

Review 22:Price was high for value tendered

Review 23:Staff was very pleasant and helpful

Review 24:Dinner was beyond expectations

Review 25:Beautiful grounds. Friendly, low key staff. Instant vacation mode.

Review 26:Beautiful property, romantic rooms, great service, excellent location, awesome restaurants (The Restaurant, The Grill) and Spa

Review 27:Disappointed by the decor of the grill but the food was excellent

Review 28:From arrival to departure everything was perfect

Review 29:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for wine tours. Very clean and comfortable. Great restaurants.

Review 30:Beautiful hotel in peaceful setting. Everything was wonderful!

Review 31:Love the calming elegance and superb staff. Very clean and great rooms. Beds very comfortable but you would expect all this for the premium you pay. Great service to and from restaurants

Review 32:Lots of hillside steps when carriing bags, but there is lots of helping hands by staff.

Review 33:Wonderful all around! The most luxurious place in the Valley hands down!

Review 34:but a few minor glitches... 1. no ice in room on move-in 2. half-and-half not replaced in frige after we used it all up the first day 3. shower door hangs up on curb 4. would rather have had a coffee pot in room than an expresso machine (was provided on request) 5. distances on the running map provided were way off (only a serious runner would care) 6. didn't use the restaurant for dinner because the menu didn't appeal and it looked too formal 7. was double charged at check-out on the one time we ate breakfast in the grill

Review 35:all was good.........

Review 36:Breakfast was overpriced .

Review 37:Rooms were spacious with a fireplace and screened porch. Gorgeous bathroom. Health center ran lots of classes and pool was great.

Review 38:The spa itself isn't luxurious but the quality of the massages far outweighs the locker rooms.

Review 39:The hotel was beautiful and clean, the staff always accommodating, amenities were great. We loved the Molten Brown products. The massages at the spa were some of the best we ever had. Loved feeling like we were in a secret hideaway yet right in the middle of Napa Valley.

Review 40:Everything!!!

Review 41:Nothing free regarding amenities. Hard climb to room

Review 42:Location

Review 43:overpriced.

Review 44:Very comfortable,friendly,nice breakfast food and area,good restaurant,and quite.
