Review 1：The venue, ambiance, decor, staff, food and drinks were all sublime. A beautiful spot in Paraty and just wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back, I found this space perfect in every way.

The staff were friendly and helpful but there was a shortage of staff in the evening both on reception and in the Bar leading to a long wait for drinks as they were all made by hand. Review 9：the location was perfect-just on the edge of the Historic Centre. Beautiful, colonial decor and we had a large room with two double beds. Bathroom was large with walk-in shower (room 101) . Breakfast was very good too.

Review 11：We were looking for a comfortable, clean and good located hotel with swimming pool, as we knew the closest beach is not appropriated for swimming. We loved everything: the bedroom, swimming pool, sauna, air con, decoration and staff. Our stay was very pleasant and I would def come back. Staff was also nice and we loved so much the restaurant recommendation (Banana da Terra) that we went there in two of our four days!
Review 12：Beautiful, colonial hotel located in the historic centre of Paraty. We ended up staying for longer because we liked it so much! Lovely pool and outdoor bar area and great breakfast..would 100% recommend staying here!
Review 13：The room was lovely & clean, very bright & comfortable! Very good size too, there were two of us traveling & we both had a double bed each & large bathroom to share. Wesley who works on the reception was so helpful & friendly, really added to our stay! He went over & above to help us with anything we asked!
Review 14：The parking is not directly at the Pousada. One has to stop right next to it without blocking the traffic coming from behind, as it is not officially allowed to stop there. But the Pousada personnel is very helpful and helps unloading the backage quickly and parking the car afterwards.
Review 15：Located in a collection of typical old houses of Paraty directly in the heart of the city centre. Everything is neatly renovated and clean and personnel is very friendly and helpful.

Review 29：Our bathroom had a very loud fan or water pump that turned on and off continually every few minutes and was very clearly audible in the bedroom through the night. WiFi reception was good, but the internet speed was intermittent and regularly we could not use it in our room, only in communal areas. Given the price paid and standard of the rest of the hotel, the bathrooms could do with updating.

Review 33：This pousada maintained the traditional heritage feel in the historic centre of Paraty, yet was very sophisticated. Good location near the historic centre, the river, and good bars and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable, our room was well located behind the pool, where it was quiet and had a lovely outlook. The staff were friendly and very professional. The little touches made this pousada special, such as valet car service, and the mineral water available at the reception area to all guests - every day the water dispenser had a new fusion of fruits and herbs in the water to give it a special touch. Another thoughtful gesture was when reception provided us with bottles of water for the car trip after check out.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the one dinner we ate at the hotel was also wonderful. Location was great, since we were on the edge of where we could drive with cars, and there was a designated parking lot right across the street. Room was clean and comfortable.

Review 75：We (a family of 4) stayed for 3 nights April 2014. We rang up spontaneously to ask if we could come 1 day early (due to rain) - reception juggled everything to make it possible and even upgraded us at no extra cost. All the staff at reception went out of their way to be helpful and organized outings for us at the drop of a hat (day spa, boat trip, alambique visit), due to variable weather conditions. The pousada has lots of charm, lovely decor, tiny pool and sauna. Breakfast was good and plentiful (again the waiter didn't hesitate to make us fried eggs). Quiet yet v close to all the restaurants and bars. Also conveniently located next to the river which was a great place to jog as the cobbled streets make running hazardous! Our kids thought the "detox" water offered free of charge at the entrance wonderful! Nice touch : ) As are the exotic flower arrangements.

Review 87：I stayed here for 3 nights and had a upstairs room next to the road. The noise from the road was not really a problem, the lovely wooden shutters blocked out most of it. Excellent showers, huge bed and friendly and helpful staff who helped me to organise a couple of trips. Loved the passion fruit mousse at breakfast. Pool is compact but never really felt crowded.
Review 88：- Noisy rooms! Most of the rooms are on the side of a very passing street nest to the Pousada. I had a Superior room and still had the same problem. This needs to be fully disclosed somehow. If you are a light sleeper, think twice, unless you're an early bird. Movement starts around 6:30 am..- Even Superior room are extremely spartan. Bathrooms needs to be redone, and painting wouldn't be a luxury. They need to invest a minimum. - Extremely expensive. Not a value for money
