Reviews for Boulders Lodge & Spa
Review 1:Although it was a Sunday, it was high season - December - and their spa and restaurant were closed, which was the reason I chose to book there in the first place.
Review 2:We were most disappointed that both the spa and the restaurant were closed for the duration of our stay - two main reasons we selected this guest house. Our original room overlooked the main road leaving the town and the traffic noise kept us awake all night as well as some very noisy neighbours. After some negotiation we were moved to a much quieter room for the rest of our stay - thank you.
Review 3:The rooms are clean and comfortable. The garden is beautiful and there is ample secure parking.
Review 4:Dreadful maintenance issues, bathroom shelves hanging from the wall, toilet roll holder in a similar state.Changed rooms, unable to lock sliding doors, frame loose in wall. Gave in left the venue early!!
Review 5:Proximity to Oudshoorn
Review 6:It was noisy, the door the taps the shower made noises when someone opens a tap. The door to our room made a noise whenever someone else opened there room.
Review 7:The breakfast was nice.
Review 8:nothing.
Review 9:a really super bed and breakfast, Prince Albert was full so we staying at Boulders Lodge and had dinner at Buffelsdrift. this was a much better idea.
Review 10:Shower took along time to heat up and had very little pressure.
Review 11:Comfortable beds and spacious room. Good pool area and situated just out of town.Good breakfasts.
Review 12:Bathroom was looking tired with what looked like mold on the ceiling and the poor looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a few days.
Review 13:Location was very good and easy to find at the north end of the town. Bed was incredibly comfortable.
Review 14:Price was a bit too high for the services offered. Restaurant was closed due to lack of guests.
Review 15:Breakfast choices (Ostrich Eggs were in the menu) Personal was quite friendly and willing to help.
Review 16:- no mini-bar - poor or even bad functioning wifi (and unwilling staff to resolve the problem) - the lodge was cold. Visiting in winter time it is suggested to heat the premises, there was even no heather in the room available. The staff wore a coat and shawl serving breakfast - no separate bathroom, the douche cabine was inside the room and so was the washing stand. Only the toilet separated - summarizing the above the location is overrated as 4-star and lacks a good prize-value balance - arriving at 5(+) PM it was not possible to have dinner in the restaurant (unless reserved before 5PM - unfriendly staff
Review 17:- Located near the Wildlife Ranch and the road to the Cango Caves
Review 18:We booked this Spa because it also had a restaurant on site, which was unfortunatly closed when we there.
Review 19:Friendly staff, on our request to use the closed jacuzzi the staff opened it and tried their best to heat it up. Breakfast was extensive and good (Austrich omelet for breakfast !!) Rooms are spaceious with excellent baths.
Review 20:The meal we ate in restaurant was a little disappointing for a 4 star establishment. The ostrich steaks were great. but the "mixed veg" and schnitzel very average.
Review 21:Le Roux was most accommodating and attentive. The setting was great and room very comfortable

Review 31:Staff and Facilities
Review 32:The lack of a bar fridge. The spa bath was loud and had no facility to adjust. Bathroom looked dated. Also had a bit of an ants problem.
Review 33:Mostly the location. The room was very nice and spacious. It was very comfortable too.
Review 34:Place is overrated. Too expensive for the type of lodge it is. Everything is in 1 little room which they don't tell you on the website. Breakfast was not that great. The spa (the main attraction of the place) was closed. Too many rules. The television is tiny. Horrible shampoo supplied. Overall we were not impressed.
Review 35:Huge bed Beautiful pool area Very quiet
Review 36:had to swim around the pool cleaner. no area to relax with a drink other than poolside. Section was very small that the lodge was on.
