Review 1：The water was cold and the stink in the bathroom made me feel sick. The wall in the shower had mildew on it. We didn't see the owner once. The cleaner opened for us and guided us to our rooms. No information given. The room next door had a couple staying in it and they left early in the morning waking us up. The room might have well been in ours . So so close together. We left the next Morning at six and decided to not make use of their stinking bathroom and rather shower at home. Will never stay here again.

Review 3：the cottage was great, home away from home. Very spacious and great overall set up. Was extremely impressed. Nothing at all was short in the kitchen either, such a pleasure. Every day our place was cleaned, loved our stay there all of us.

Review 5：The lodge is very centrally located and easy to get to many different restaurants and the Gallagher conference centre. Enjoyed not having the pressure of having to get to breakfast and doing our own low key breakfast at our leisure. Lovely setting, relaxing to come home and wake up to, especially for out of towners.
Review 6：Timber cottages are just sheds - no heating, very cold at night, and not much privacy with an adjoining unit next door. It's clean enough, but a bit scrappy. The advertised DVD player did not work, there was no internet, and when a wireless router was eventually provided, it didn't work. The fridge froze everything solid. Other types of room might be better, but wouldn't stay in one of these again, even at the price.

Review 8：No aircon in the Joburg heat made the room very uncomfortable. It was cooler outside then inside, but then the flies from the horses were a problem.

Review 10：The owner/manager was extremely rude and unaccommodating. In the 10 days there, we did not see or hear from her the whole time other than to settle our account a day in advance of us leaving. Purely because of hr attitude, i would not recommend Pine Tree Lodge.
