Hlangana Lodge sells fast on our site. Located on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn, this 4-star Victorian guesthouse is set in large exotic grounds. Its signature buffet and champagne breakfast is served in the sunny lounge.
Hlangana Lodge is perfectly situated to serve as a haven from where one can explore Oudtshoorn, the Cango Caves and the surrounding countryside.
After a champagne breakfast, guests can enjoy the Karoo sunset from the landscaped grounds, or have a drink in the tastefully decorated lounge. The skillfully crafted the porch and salt water pool provide a nice setting for relaxation.

Review 1：We were warmly received by the friendly staff. The garden with the pool area was beautiful - it felt peaceful and secluded, even though the main road is just on the other side. The breakfast was very good.

Review 5：the beds en de sunbeds on the pool were a little bit to hard. Specially the one on the pool. You could not lie on them for more then 15 minutes. We've choosen this guesthouse because the hostesswas frombelgium but we didn't meet them, that was also a pitty

Review 7：We booked through you 2 family rooms. When we were shown to our rooms they were not family rooms. When we questioned this they said it was a computer error and that they could change one of us the following day. They had obviously overbooked, charged us for a family room and we did not get what we paid for or even a reduction for the single rooms we were given, the apology I felt was half hearted. Further to this we twice asked for a laundry bag so that we could have some laundry done and it never came.

Review 8：Although it says restaurants are in walking distance, in reality we only found one that was a reasonable distance to walk at night and not in heels!

Review 9：Beautiful gardens make this a very tranquil hotel. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic and it is a shame that they don't do dinner based on this.

Review 10：The room was a little odd given that the sliding glass door by which you entered the room looked right out on the common area. So if you wanted privacy, the curtains had to be closed at all times, making the room dark. But the grounds were beautiful, breakfast was delicious and it had a very nice small gym on the grounds. The staff were so friendly and helpful, highly recommend this place, even if it is a bit funky!

Review 11：Hlangana Lodge lodge is a sweet place. We arrive after a long day of driving. the staff were very welcoming! the had service of washing the car. so good! breakfast was great!

Review 12：Only complaint is their choice of liquid soap for the bathrooms, as opposed to cakes of soap - liquid soap is my pet hate.

Review 13：Lovely hotel, great location for exploring all that Oudtshoorn and surrounds have to offer. We were warmly welcomed by Anjo, the manageress on duty during our stay - even though we were 2 hours early for our booking! Throughout our stay, she went out of her way to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Room was very comfortable; breakfast had great variety; grounds are lovely, with big garden for children. Very pleasant stay.

Review 15：The lodge was very peaceful. The location too wasn't bad at all. We were travelling with two small children who ran around the lodge's well maintained lawn. We were recommended this place coz of hospitality & I must say we were not disappointed at all.

Review 16：The lodge is a piece of tranquility just few minutes walk from the downtown and along the road to the caves. The staff was so very kind in providing all information and suggesting the restaurant. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable and breakfast is simply delicious!

Welcome drink on arrival. Helpful, friendly staff. Local restaurant menus available with a ferry service to one of the nearby restaurants (restaurant arranged).

Review 20：Both my wife and i have back problems and we found the bed too wielding and all the cushions were extra hard. Will suggest a few softer ones!!!

Review 47：Well it's not compulsory to allow the cat into your room but the hotel does have two very friendly cats. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the very helpful staff. Great base in Oudtshoorn for cango caves, ostriches and meerkats.

Review 48：The extremely warm welcome and the glass of champagne served on the terrace overlooking the garden and pool. The guest rooms overlook the beautiful garden and are well appointed. The breakfast was delicious. We were given information to help us decide where to have dinner and we were able to walk to the restaurant. There is onsite parking and the property is very secure. We would highly recommend this property.

Review 49：Clean and comfortable rooms (with huge bathrooms) that open out onto lovely gardens. Very helpful staff, who also organised a restaurant for us within safe walking distance. There was a wide range available for breakfast, and I can finally say I have enjoyed a proper champagne breakfast. A clean car in the morning was much appreciated too.
