Review 1：It is a nice accommodation close to Phalarborw Gate. Staff is friendly and helpfully. Breakfast from 6 AM good for go off for early game viewing in Krüger.
Review 2：Only 5 minutes drive from the Phalaborwa gate of the Kurger National Park in a quiet area. Owner went out of his way to assist us with an issue we had with some documents that we left at the previous lodge. Very nice people and good value for money.

Review 9：The sunbird lodge is close to the Palarbowa gate (5 minutes drive) to the Kruger; we arrive in the early evening and Sam, the host, was super proactive and efficient to help us out organizing a sunset drive for the following day and giving us all the tips about self driving in the park and about restaurants and activities in Palarbowa. Our lodge was super clean and comfortable, with a nice porch in the garden. Nice pool, buffet breakfast with choices of hot dishes à la carte. Recommended.
Review 10：The service at Sunbird lodge was fantastic the owner greeted us warmly, understood we were entering Kruger the next day and advised routes and shops to stock up before we went in. We were taken to our secure parking spot and shown to our room which was fab, good size, very clean and with outdoor table and chairs overlooking the green and bird filled gardens. There were ice cold drinks available on arrival - a welcome beer after a long drive! Breakfast was good, help yourself to coffee and cereal and cooked breakfast to order. I would throughly recommend sunbird lodge for anyone wanting a pleasant and easy stop on the way to Kruger or as a base camp to explore the local area. (Kruger entry gate was only 5 minutes away)

Review 12：The staff very were friendly and helpful from the beginning and they went an extra mile to help us planning our trip in the Kruger National Park. The room was very spacious, clean but a bit old fashioned (which I liked in a way, it reminded me of the 'old times' design, the feeling of 80s). The place is very quiet.

Review 20：The fact that we requested a bath if possible and we did get a room with a bath. The manager was charming , helpful and very informative in regards to the facilities and places to eat. The breakfast is excellent and the setting is wonderful, green lawns and gardens well maintained. We would have loved to stay longer, but we will certainly return.

Review 26：Ideally situated 5 minutes from the Phlaraborwa gate in a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. The owners are welcoming, friendly and very helpful offering advice on what to do in the area and the cheapest way of doing it! They also have a lovely little friendly dog and always ask guests if they are happy for the dog to wander in the garden before allowing it to. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with excellent beds and a superb shower. It had a little private patio outside where you could sit to enjoy the last rays of the sun. Breakfast was good and there are very good restaurants nearby, in particular the Hat and Creek. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and plan to return if we visit the area again.

Review 30：After arrival the first person to greet us was Dave. With a cheerful smile and willingness to make us feel comfortable we were checked quickly. Offers to help with our plans in the area were offered without being pushy, and the advice was great!. Additionally, the map and directions to the services and facilities locally were a great help to us. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The gardens were peaceful and we enjoyed sundowners in comfort and quiet. The breakfast was super, even catering to our special requests. This was an excellent way to stop over before Kruger, we were fresh going in and enjoyed the whole trip in part because of the great start at Sunbird Lodge. Thank you Dave for welcoming us to Phalaborwa and for the great experience.
