Review 1：unfortunately the noise and loud music in the street was unpleasant at times but nothing Vetho house could do about that.

Review 3：The location is right on the beachfront, which meant that there was constant partying, noise, drinking and loud music directly outside our room. This made it impossible for us to enjoy some relaxation. I feel that the hotel should warn guests of this, as it ruined our stay

Review 5：Granted the booking was for 2 adults, but I explained that I was travelling with my 13 year old daughter for 1 night. Was charged R985, yet was not offered an extra bed nor breakfast.

Review 18：The worst service we ever experiansed in a B&B It's on a busy road and the music from the cars parked outside my window was very loud. The manager/cleaner/cook was very unfriendly No manners what so ever.

Review 20：-I would have preferred a full English breakfast and not just continental -I also would have liked a bit more flexibility, especially on checkout - we requested a slight delayed checkout of up to an hour and it was difficult to get.

Review 22：The duvet and the sheets were smelling of sweat. Seemed like they were not changed. The of the duvet definitely needs a wash. Yeeewww. The booking on the system was misleading. I was quoted a price based on my selected option of adult and child. When arrived to check in I was told I did not mention that I am traveling with a child and will have to pay for the child.

Review 24：Being on the main beach parking was great for good restaurants in the area, but on Saturday night the locals had a raucous party there too - the atmosphere was great and I think we were fortunate that the unpleasant wind brought it to an early close ! It can become annoying if the noise carries on late into the night.

Review 28：Did online booking with Booking.com but when I arrived they told me that they were closed for renovations. They accommodated me anyway.

Review 30：Although the setting is beautiful, is seems that the owner"s hand is not on the property and that is was a four star establishment some time ago. Maintenance has to be done. The bedlamp was out of order and the toilet roll holder was broken. The overall look is not inspiring.The breakfast is below average, considering the rates charged.

Review 32：Breakfast very limited No bacon on the menu Booking.com need to review their reservation system as when I made the reservation I requested 2 people and the rate for single and double then came up. When you making reservations on phone or Ipad, very small to pick this error up as I booked the cheapest rate and it landed up only being for 1 person which was not on, and was very expensive in the end and not what we had budgeted for!!

Review 33：Very small selection of items for breakfast. Their credit card machine did not work over the phone and staff was reluctant to use it but there was no issue with it and it worked perfectly once they tried it in person.

Review 35：Unfortunately Saturday night inconsiderates parked in the parking lot in front of Vetho House blaring their music waking everyone up in early hours of Sunday morning. Breakfast was a little bit disappointing - continental only and stale breads. Garden was also in bad repair (minor point).

Review 38：The always friendly and helpful staff headed by Wilson is one of the reasons we go back and yes the sea view, excellent location and safe parking is contributing factors.

Review 41：Sadly there is a small parking road between the hotel and the beach. People tend to sit in the car park and make quite a noise (why they dont sit on the beautiful beach defies me). It is the only thing that I can mention as a negative and it totally out of the control of the hotel itself.

Review 42：I cant go on more about how wonderful the hotel is. It is very boutique and even when there are other guests you hardly ever see them. Winston, the manager is amazing! Nothing is too much trouble, he is always friendly and helpful but never in the way. It is like magic!

Review 44：The Lounge is awesome with its balcony, wine rack and air conditioning. Amazing staff filled with smiles and patience. Upgrades to Solar energy was taking place with very little affect to residents, access to the "beach" and restaurant next door. The Shower was refreshing with a skylite.

Review 47：The noise in the street, hooting, loud music, singing and shouting - really noisy until early hours of the morning. When settling the bill I was told that I had had a guest over the one evening - the manager was rather adamant even when I explained to him that a friend staying at La Montagne had come in the morning through the gate and drove out with me, she had not even entered the house, he doubted, so I asked him to check his surveillance. He then accepted it reluctantly.

Review 51：Overpriced, not really value for money, breakfast was poor especially for people who don't eat beef or pork...for the price you pay for a 1 night bed and breakfast stay, you expect to get a decent breakfast variety albeit a simple continental breakfast. Bedside lamps were a bit dusty, could have been cleaned better.

Review 61：It would help if one didn't have to go and ask for a hair dryer and iron. Most facilties at 4* have one in the room. There was confusion over the shuttle service which was supposedly sent to collect me. As the plane was delayed, by the time I exited the airport the transport had disapppeared.

Breakfasts ok but also not to same level as the house. But all in all a fair trade off at the price.

Review 66：Superb location - on quiet cul-de-sac facing beach. There is a little traffic to the parking area outside but not enough to disturb. Views of the sea fabulous from room and deck. Very comfortable, well equipped and maintained rooms. The Captain's Cabin (aka Honeymoon suite) is spacious, standard upstairs room room was smaller but fine. Lounge area also comfortable and spacious, indoors and out. Pool small but pleasant when sea was too rough to swim in.

Review 71：Hard pillow, only one staff member trying to do everything. There was a parking seperating the place from the beach. Although i booked they had no record of it and we had to ask Booking.com to confirm - it woulc have been terrible to arrive and they had given our room away - they had sone lame excuse of an internal failure and blamed booking.com untill they were corrected by booking.com who were very helpful.

Review 77：The staff was available, attentive, warmhearted. They helped us to go to the Durban airport twice. The hotel is very well located, in front of the sea. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable. We saw dolphins from our terrace and we slept with the sound of the waves. Do not hesitate to ask a room on the first floor for the view ;-) Free wifi, large common room with terrace, complete continental breakfast, direct access to the beach, close to a good italian restaurant. We will come back !
