Review 6：The owners are very nice. I chatted with the husband for about 30 minutes about skiing and his war record. Super nice guy, they were incredibly accommodating with our late-night arrival. Also, I stayed here about 15 years ago, and they have remodeled. They are basic, clean, tiny cabins, close to everything. For the price, Doc's is a great value and the location is excellent. Nice tiny kitchens, all new, and there was an electronic fireplace heater in the bedroom. For the money, Doc's is a steal.
Review 7：We didn't take shampoo from home because we usually find it in the hotels where we stay. In the Doc's cabin we didn't get. Not a big deal during regular days because we could buy it but on Christmas all stores were closed so we missed it.

Review 12：Location was great. A little noisy from construction. Bathroom plunger fell apart. Booking.com showed a larger facility than what we got plus no discount for senior or VA. Maintenance was being done on roof without notifying us in advance.

Review 17：The beds and bedding were very very old there was no housekeeping there was no air conditioning they did not provide shampoos or lotions very cramped very tiny and staff was very grouchy to everyone all weekend. There was no one in line in front of me and it took 22 minutes to register. They did not replace our towels on our second day she seemed unhappy that she had to do so and literally counted the towels in front of me. I had to follow her back to the office to get new towels for the day and carry them back. The wine glasses in the cupboard had lipstick on them. There was a time share booth out in front of our door and they bothered us every day trying to get us to go on a timeshare. Worst place for the money I've ever stayed
Review 18：There weren't any things we don't like. Just a reminder to bring paper towels and sponge/soap for cleaning dishes because there is no dishwasher, which makes sense with the space of the cottage.
Review 19：The cottage was very clean and tidy,spacious enough for people to visit and comfortable for couples to stay in. Our unit even had a patio space wit out door table and chair, and a charcoal BBQ pit. The ownersecond are very nice and will help you find any activities that you could and would like to do in the area.

Review 32：The pictures showed that units had a small back yard. We brought our dog and was in hopes we could take her out the back and have her explore as we relaxed with her. This was not the case and we had to walk her around the premises. This was a new experience for her and did not end well. We booked for two nights and had to leave a day early. She was restless the whole night and we were up walking her around every hour of the night to relieve herself. She did not and we were coming upon 21 hours of not using the bathroom. We got worried so we left at 8:15 the next morning. I contacted the front desk and thought they would mention a refund since we left so early, but none was mentioned. I paid for two nights and two nights of a dog fee. A guess a little understanding would have been nice.

Review 42：I was here to photograph my Uncle's wedding (at 70! Never too late!), and the entire weekend at the cabins was a pleasure. They went out of their way to accommodate our large group, we got to have a bbq on the deck, where they set up torches for us, and let us decorate, and hang out, and build a fire...right in front of our cabins...it was fantastic, and appreciated. I'm not a terribly picky traveler, but this is not a fancy a$$ hotel...this is a quaint, quiet, well-taken-care-of, lovely place to stay, and I would stay there again, without hesitation, given the opportunity!

Review 89：Doc's is close to everything any traveler to South Lake Tahoe needs. The beach is a very short walk away. The kitchen and the outdoor space was like having my own private place at Lake Tahoe. Conveniently parking my car right outside was again like having my own place. AWESOME!

Review 98：The pillows were a bit lumpy. It would be great if a kettle was supplied so that tea didn't taste of coffee from coffee maker. We ended up using a pot on the stove to heat water for tea. Some extra kitchen items like a salad bowl / mixing bowl, whisk and small dishes would be useful but are not essential. Having salt and pepper shakers and a dish with some sugar sachets would be great too.

Review 104：The cabin is clean, well equipped and cozy. Staff is friendly. You get a beach pass as you check in. Cabin is close to main road where all restaurants and shops are, as well as to the casinos in the NV part of town. Free WiFi and parking. Overall it was very nice.

Each cottage is warm and friendly from complimentary coffee for the coffee maker, comfortable beds, cute little porches and bbq areas and an electric fireplace in each cottage. These cottages are within walking distance of the lake, all the casinos, heavenly valley ski resorts gondola, restaurants and shopping. We have found our go to place to stay whenever we come to Tahoe!

Ownres of this cottagehotel are wondefull, kind people. I really enjoyed my staing in thisplace. Ones more plus of this cottage hotel is location, it is not farfrom the mountain, where you can ski, and not high prices.
Review 117：Room cleaning service came only upon request and does not wash dishes. Also - there seemed to be limited hot water. We found that only one of us could get a hot shower, and there wasn't enough hot water to wash the dishes.
Review 118：Lloyd and Angie were very nice. The room was small, but had a little kitchenette which was a big advantage (we cooked breakfast and made lunch everyday to save a few $). Can't beat the location, easy walk to Heavenly for skiing, and next door to Harvey's Casino and Harrah's if you want to gamble or go clubbing.
