Review 1：It really is away from it all. 20 kms of unmade road, no mobile phone signal.

Review 2：Wish we'd been able to stay longer to enjoy the tranquillity of the Retreat. Dinner on the verandah with the owner and fellow guests a real treat. Walks on marked trails through the local area.

Review 3：The decor was tired. No wi fi drove me nuts. I couldn't get it to work even in the reception area. The fact that there was no mobile phone coverage. A bit out of the way for an overnight stop on our journey to Plett.

Review 5：It is a long way to drive on an unmade road to get there - which could be a bit unsettling for some visitors. Possibly far too quiet for children/young teenagers.

Review 6：The lodges were large and comfortable, with a huge bathroom and fabulously powerful shower; it was a cold night, so we lit our African wood burner, which heated the area beautifully. The food was good, Marie a very interesting hostess, the company mixed guests, which made for some good conversation. The location is very isolated, and restfully peaceful. Huge variation in birdlife!
