Review 1：We were traveling with our two grandchildren who loved the pool. I had called the hotel and requested the main building, and got an upgrade - they couldn't have been nicer!

Review 2：I requested online an upgrade to a King size room yet I was given two double beds. The heater did not work properly it was cold all night.

Review 3：The spacious bathroom. The rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed having a coffee brewer in the room.

Review 4：check in is too late in the day. then our rooms were not ready at check in time. Could not register or find what room we were in until check in. All the other hotels in the village you can at least register and get your room number when you arrive. Given wrong info about the tavern hours.Good thing we check the hours ourselves.

Review 5：Young man a the desk did a great job however, he needed the manager but she stayed it the back she should have been out in front to assist.

Review 6：However, the hotel clearly is overplaying its location as a value. Internet was the worst we have experienced in years - worst outside of Africa in fact with long periods of down. Fees and the like for added services (e.g. TV) were outrageous. Actual facilities were fine, but not to price.

Review 8：The on site "tavern" is not a tavern...just a cheap bar in a bare bones dinning hall. They certainly could add some decor and replace the overhead cafeteria style lighting with something more low key. It did have a fireplace, but that was about the only positive. Food was ok but in the winter, they are limited to choices.

Review 9：Nice size room with decent amenities...microwave/fridge/coffee and a sofa...water had good pressure and was hot. Window on the lake was great. Had a couple of fireplaces that you could hang out at. Staff was friendly. Town of Lake George was basically closed (holidays), but Saratoga Springs is 30 minutes away and was a nice get away for the day.

Review 10：We had a puncture on route to this hotel and needed to call our rental company.As soon as we arrived they were so helpful calling the company and giving us the long call free of charge nothing was too much trouble.Lake George is beautiful and this hotel is right in the centre of town great hotel great spot.

We stayed in wing to the left of the main building, beds were not very comfortable and bathroom needed updating. Even lower priced chains provide complimentary coffee and tea in lobby.

Review 31：Can't beat the location and the views from the back of the bldg out onto lake George are breathtaking. Can also walk to pretty much anywhere(village,restaurants, lake cruises, ft william Henry) Stayed in room 295, which is the "premier" section, except it's the exact opposite. Very old and in desperate need of some TLC. Also, side door from outside into hotel was(and looked like it had been for quite some time)broken. So...no key needed to enter hotel any time of the day or NIGHT, not very secure, especially when it's poorly lit outside AND in the hallways of said bldg. pool area is spacious and nice. This property has sooo much potential, it's a shame they don't DO a little more with it.

Review 32：Facilities were poorly maintained, not clean, smelly and the door would barely open. Worst place ever, room 121!!!! We will never stay there again!!! We paid more than $250 for one night, it wasn't worth $50, worser than any cheap Motel. Did i say that i will never stay there again!!! If you are reading this, please reconsider spending your money in a filthy place like this. We paid extra $20 for a fridge in the room, that is terrible, the fridge costs $50 to buy. Lake George is one of the most beautiful Lakes to go to, this was my first time and it will most definitely not be my last, i will however never again stay in this terrible hotel!!! I am sorry i have to write this but i feel that everyone that is trying to have a nice time at Lake George should know that this place is not where you want to stay, i hope that the managing team from this facility reads this and makes the necessary changes to make this place worth spending your money at. I have to be honest and say that the location is great and thats why people are renting these rooms however the location will only trick me once and never again!!

Review 36：Our 1st room in the older section (104), had a very foul smell. We were forced to stay there for almost 24 hrs. Sleep there, get ready for a wedding there. Thank goodness Carmen made other arrangements as soon as she was informed of our dilemma. Check in was at 4:00 & we called a week or so ahead for early check in & could only get into 1 of our 3 rooms-the foul-smelling one. 6 of us needed to be at church Fri nite by 5:00 after we travelled 6 hrs to get there-ugh!

Review 37：Loved Carmen & Christy at the front desk. They were wonderful & very accommodating, with excellent customer service skills. Loved our 2nd room in the large, newer hotel. Pool was very nice too.

Review 38：We were given room in the adjacent terrible building whereas we paid 250 dollars for the rm. No breakfast and the staff could not care less. I felt cheated and angered. The hotel did not want to take any responsibility since the booking was through booking.com.

Review 39：I paid $245/day for a standard room. There was ZERO hint given at the time of booking about the location of the room. It wasn't a part of actual hotel building but was located in a motel next to the main hotel on the same premises. The room wasn't that great and breakfast wasn't included either. I wouldn't pay more than $160-170 for what I received (keeping in mind that it was a peak season in the middle of August) even though the location was excellent. No other complaints, just not worth that much money

Free wifi was horrible, by the motel itself was dirty at nighttime and took forever to be able to get ice in the machine. Review 72：Seen a few bad reveiws when looking to book this hotel I have no idea why hotel was in a great location over looking the east side of the lake by the steamboat ferrys. Also grounds were in great shape for being so early in the season.

Review 73：Placed in double room which made us have to sleep in separate beds. Also Handicapped room meant that when taking bath the "Butt" seat is in your face. And most of all our Lake view room was a view of bushes. When people entered the Hotel they could look into our room. So shades had to be closed.

It was mediocre from the wait staff to the food. Bar selection was less than limited. The bed was very hard.

Review 81：Lack of customer service awareness. We were there a couple weeks after Columbus day. The hotel was maybe 25% occupied. Regardless, the still put us in a highway view room when they could have encouraged us to come back by putting us in a lake view room. Wouldn't cost them anything additional but look at the value they would have received from just our word of mouth recommendations.

After lengthy discussion we were allocated a superior room with a view of the lake but after two days move to the room we had originally booked. Dining facilities at the hotel are poor although the breakfast, when available, is good. Overall impression is that the hotel would not be value for money without a room with a view of Lake George.

Review 102：I didn't like the west wing of the hotel. No one told that the standard rooms were located on the west wing of the hotel which is basically a dump. The beds literally felt like they were on blocks and the place quiet frankly needs a major renovation. I cannot comment on the main wing of the hotel. Lastly, the rooms need to be sound proof too, you can literally hear a pin drop in the rooms next to you.

Review 104：I think that the side that looks like a motel needs a little bit of work. Our room was adequate, but could use a small refrigerator and a few other amenities. Plus the bathtub when used as a shower was very slippery. A bath mat or strips on the bathtub floor would have helped.

Review 126：When I booked it did not state that we would be in the old wing of the hotel. I had no idea we would not be in the actual hotel. It was very disappointing. Horrible beds, old moldy bathtub. No shower head. I think that should be made a lot clearer

Review 132：Wonderful grounds with a sitting area which has an awesome view of the lake and gets the lake breeze. Unfortunately there isn't a no smoking policy on the grounds, so unless you are a smoker you cannot enjoy that area. We will not book again solely because of this.
