Reviews for Austria Trend Hotel Schloss Lebenberg Kitzbühel

Review 1:Slightly out of town to be able to walk with ski gear.

Review 2:Very well kept hotel, rooms were spotless and hotel has everything we could have possibly needed. We stayed over christmas and felt very well looked after, delicious food and even a room upgrade!

Review 3:nothing that I can think of

Review 4:* The breakfast buffet and the 5-meal dinner! * The swimming pool and the sauna with a view towards the village and the mountain!! * The hotel personal, especially the reception and restaurant staff!!!

Review 5:- price of the food - 8 euro charge for ice cubes delivered to teh room -far away from city centre -the view from standard rooms -small balcony -no tee/coffee machine in the room

Review 6:-swimming pool -comfortable bed -the view

Review 7:Can't think of a thing

Review 8:The hotel was over booked, we where given an upgrade! Dinner and breakfast was included and both were terrific! The restaurant staff were really fantastic! The front desk was very helpful!

Review 9:I tried hard and couldn't find anything I didn't like.

Review 10:This hotel is extraordinary. Beginning from the comfortable rooms, the pools and solariums, the food at breakfast and dinner. But above all is the view of the mountains from almost everywhere in the hotel and the staff (reception and dining room) that were extremely kind and helpful.

Review 11:We would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room in a hotel of this standard. Also there was no english channels on the television and as the rugby world cup was on it marred my husband's enjoment of the hotel.

Review 12:There was nothing about this hotel I didn't like.

Review 13:The pool was amazing. The spa facilities were very good. The views were spectacular. The bar/ restaurant/ terrace had a very nice atmosphere.

Review 14:A big hotel with "factory" food which while good, was not five star. Breakfast a buffet scramble. Also, the lack of air-conditioning made the room too warm, even in mild weather. Would not stay there in high summer as it would be simply too hot.

Review 15:Panorama room was very comfortable and a good size with great views. Staff were excellent and always aiming to help.

Review 16:Would never again order dinners. Waiters for 3 star hotel, the meals are fairly ok. What is the point of having salad buffet when you put vinegar in the carrot?? (the bottles of vinegar and sauces are nearby) Or other vegs already with sauce, so not fresh and not healthy anymore. On the towel I found brown stains - thanks god I could change them at the pool. At above 30C the lack of air conditioning turned nice weekend into "I want survive" weekend. The soaps are at the ends - they could refill at least one bottle not leaving guests with almost no soap.

Review 17:I liked the pool and the HOTEL personal (excluding restaurant personal). The shower was ok. The view from the window was quite nice, however expected more after reviews. So do not expect too much ;)

Review 18:We got a free upgrade to a duplex suite, which was stunning! The staff were all absolutely first class, especially the waiting staff. We loved the breathtaking infinity pool.

Review 19:the hotel is situated far from centre of Kitz. it is no comfortable to walk from hotel to centre. every time you need to use car and find the parking in Kitz. in our room was not very clean under the bad.

Review 20:You cannot control the climate on room. The bar wasnt working in spa area, so you cannot buy anything for drink.

Review 21:Beautiful hotel with a nice view on Kitzbuhel and mountains. Wonderful pool on the last floor.

Review 22:A) The window was broken and the hotel could not arrange a repair during a 5 day stay. They proposed a ventilator as it was to hot due to sun operation, ridiculous... B) The saunas are poor compared for this type of hotel. There were to many people who do not understand nude area and relaxing area.

Review 23:The bath in middle of the room. The top view of the city from the room.

Review 24:Don't know all was top class panoramic view most beautiful pool ever and super helpful and friendly

Review 25:The pool and spa centre was amazing. The staff was super friendly. I will definitely going backdon

Review 26:The evening food in restaurant could be better . In other words the standard of the hotel( its amazing for mountain style hotel) rerquires to improve dinner. Transfer to ski slopes is only one way, so it is better to have your own car.

Review 27:It is big , comfortable hotel of 5star level. Nice , very modern spa facilities with the pool of 45 m lenght with the view over town. Also all saunas are incredible clean and mordern. Rooms are great! Especially panoramic ones. Even if you are not skking you will find how to spend your time in hotel. It is a little bit out of town, but you need only 15 min on foot to reach town centre taking nice path down the hill.

Review 28:Wi-fi was a bit low in our room. I'd expect at least a drink complimentary in the dinner.

Review 29:We loved everything about this hotel. The panorama pool was wonderfull. The food was really delicious with multiple selections for every taste. The staff were very helpfull, there wasn't a shuttle bus in the evening but during the day it's satisfactory and always on time. Schloss Lebenberg will definitely be our adress in Kitzbuhel in our next stay.

Review 30:Recommendation, would be better if they operated a ticket system from reception in the morning for the transfer to the slopes, as opposed to everyone rushing in, its difficult when you have young children and there are about 20 people are trying to get into a minibus with 8 or 9 spaces

Review 31:Everything

Review 32:Food was not to my liking and bit limited served by a rude waitress. However a waiter did serve use one night who was very good.

Review 33:Loved the pool area it was excellent

Review 34:The hotel is too big, the staff is overloaded. we were not served during the dinner and had to draw attention after some 20 min.sitting and waiting.

Review 35:Great location and view of the town

Review 36:Pool temperature was a bit too cold. Would prefer a king size bed instead of 2 single beds put together.

Review 37:Amazing food, service. Great location. Most of the staff were attentive. Nice rooms.

Review 38:The only minor is its location in relation to skiing, however we knew this before we went and the shuttle buses were good, and well manned.

Review 39:The hotel was very clean, tidy. The staff were professional, polite and very helpful. Rooms were superb, beds very comfy. Would recommend and defiantly visit again.

Review 40:wrong room had been booked and had to have several conversations before I was satisfied

Review 41:the staff were excellent and the top floor pool was a beautiful surprise

Review 42:The castle-room, which is spaceous, could not be warmed-up completely when it was -4 outside.

Review 43:The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere with a cosy bar/restaurant, good service and a great spa. The location is wonderful with rooms looking out over the village.

Review 44:The hotel is a little out of town and although a shuttle bus is provided it only runs every 30 mins rather than when required. It also only drops and picks up in the centre of town. Its a substantial walk to any lift from here.

Review 45:The staff, food and facilities are fantastic.

Review 46:Hotel shuttle to the gondol station drop-off us about 500 meters away.Walking this distance with ski boots while carrying the skies was torture.

Review 47:The hotel receptionist and the man who carry our bags to the room was extremely lovely. The a-la carte dinner and the service was excellent. The rooms are clean and big enough with a great mountain view. Heated floor bathroom was fantastic. Swimming in the huge rooftop pool while looking to the panoramic snowy Kitzbühel view was amazing. Free wifi was good thorough out the hotel.

Review 48:We were very unhappy with the quality of the service in the restaurant which ranged from the inability to speak English to unfriendliness and incompetence. Each sitting was a new experience of errors, omissions, and/or inability to understand our request depending on who served your table. Of the five nights we ate there, we only had two competent waiters (a male and a female), the male waiter on the last night. The quality of the food and refilling of the buffet choices was very inconsistent and often neglected. Some days the salad was too old and soggy to eat or the hot dishes served cold or tasteless, or too often bouillon served as the two starter choices. Once we got tomatoe soup but the seeds and the skins had not been taken out. At breakfast, the bread choice was limited to black bread once the other choices ran out. We were told, “sorry, at this time (30 minutes before end of buffet) there is no more” or on another occasions would look at their watch or roll their eyes when asked for a glass of milk or coffee 30 minutes before the end. If you ask 5 minutes after end of buffet, they charge it to your room. On another occasion, they removed our bread and our bread plates right before the serving of our main evening dinner plate. On two separate occasions we were served the wrong plates, and in no instance, in this or any of the other mishaps, did any of the waiters apologize. There are many more examples of the unprofessional or inadequate attitude of the restaurant personnel, which on occasion completely spoiled our mood, therefore our evening. This aspect of the hotel is unacceptable and very far from being of a five star level. Basic manners and English speaking personnel are basic requisites in most resort hotels nowadays, regardless of the category and price. We paid 424€ a night for room + breakfast, half board extra (end of January).

Review 49:Definitely not a five star quality! We were well received by two friendly reception clerks and were happy with the room: view, cleanliness, size. We also love the design of most of the hotel areas and the swimming pool facilities. Unfortunately that’s where the positive points end.

Review 50:When we arrived in the hotel they gave us a room in the Schloss diferent from that showed in the Booking Com web site, and diferent from that We had made the reservation. We went to the reception desk and complained so they gave us the room that they had showed in the site .

Review 51:The staff is great! We would like to give our special thanks to Elena Filip who made our dinner in the restaurant be great every night.

Review 52:A bit far out of town centre, and the shuttle bus only runs up to 6pm, which doesn't make sense if you want to go out for dinner in town. We walked back, which took about 20 minutes and is a bit steep up the hill. Restaurant staff at breakfast were a bit indifferent. In contrast, the bar staff at night were great!

Review 53:Pool and gym were both great. The room was fantastic, very big with a separate lounge room, bathroom, separate toilet and balcony with a spectacular view over the alps and town. Definitely worth getting a panoramic view room! We had a lovely walk to Schwarzsee through the forest and over the hills, about 20 minutes through really nice countryside. Free outdoor carpark is good.

Review 54:Having to leave!!!

Review 55:Hotel ambience, facilities, service and food were excellent. The rooftop swimming pool is second to none. We travelled in a group of 8, ages 5 - 67 and we all loved the hotel.

Review 56:Check-in & initial informations - disaster. Room & bed & sleeping quality - good 3*. Pool & wellness area - would be nice for hotel with one-third capacity. Breakfast - bed&breakfast chalet accommodation level in Austria is oftentimes much better. Dinner - quite satisfactory for its price, but nothing special. For your stay choose Kempinski (if you prefer real 5*) or other 3-4 stars hotels . Hotel Schloss Lebenberg (and its staff) doesn't know where it belongs:(

Review 57:Skiing in Kitzbuhel!

Review 58:For this amount of money we've expected more! Water of pool was cold, half board without free drinks, away from downtown... (It's a nice hotel, but if you pay such a lot of money you'll expect more)

Review 59:Staff, food, view of pool

Review 60:Great swimming pool Nice and quality breakfast with great view. Parking is free and accessible Wifi is good Last but not least... room is very clean and cleaning service of the room was the best.

Review 61:There was nothing we disliked

Review 62:The standards of the accommodation ,the service from all the staff, the excellent food, the quality management . This is a very well managed hotel and certainly lived up to its premier status ,providing an exemplary experience !

Review 63:All the rooms, restaurant etc. are luxurious. The day we checked in was my husband's birthday. The hotel arranged a lovely small birthday cake for him in our room. We appreciated it so much. And the pool... The pool is fantastic. Just amazing! We didn't want to leave... Looking forward to go back once more :)

Review 64:Have been staying in 5/4 star hotels in past 15 years a lot. Theywhere all up to the criteria of an 5 star hotel. However in Lebenberghotel breakfast was disaster. Scramble eggs from tetra package, fruitand vegetables from can, or old, dry and tasteless. No fresh pressedorange juice. Not sure if this is standard for this hotel, or is it onlyin off season. No matter what in 5 star hotel the food should beexcellent, particularly when it costs 25 EUR/person. Bad breakfastmade us not eat dinner in the evening due to uncertainty of the qualityof the food.

Review 65:Location, wellness facilities

Review 66:If money is any concern- the hotel restaurant was quite pricey for dinner; we found dinner options easier to eat in town and pay for a taxi back most nights. We quite enjoyed doing this though, so not really a big issue.

Review 67:Very comfy, spacious rooms. The bathroom was fantastic, the heated floors were a nice surprise. We had a mountain view room, which was lovely to see every morning. The public areas of the hotel were very well organised, loved the dining area and the relaxing lounge. The pool had a great view and was a good area to relax in after a swim. The free shuttle left the hotel once an hour to the town during the day, which we took advantage of in order to enjoy Kitzbuhel.

Review 68:Breakfast was too expensive.

Review 69:The hotel is slightly away from the main town. Perched on a hill it has excellent views of the mountains. Good indoor pool. Free parking.

Review 70:This is an old hotel and needs to be refurbished to be a 5* one. Forest-view rooms are extremely dark even at daylight when the lights are on. There is no air-conditioning in the room, no ventilation in the bathroom. Front rooms are very noisy because of the big construction. Single beds are provided even in the "double room"; they are unconfortable. Variety and quality of the breakfast is not according to a 5* hotel in the area. Wellness area and No. of sunbeds are very limited (e.g. about 14 sunbeds in the terrace). We were not treated as valued guests.

Review 71:Kitzbuehel is very nice. As the hotel is in the hill the shuttle service the hotel provides is very useful. There is a nice panoramic view from the infinity pool what is on the top of the building. The sauna with a silent area is also good. The terrace of the restaurant is pleasant. Parking is also available for free of charge next to the hotel.

Review 72:Would have liked a kettle / tea/coffee facilities in room- otherwise -perfect.

Review 73:The price included a wonderful 5 course gourmet evening meal AND a fantastic breakfast. Brilliant value for money. The swimming pool was amazing - whata view over the valley!

Review 74:Nothing

Review 75:We were in a panoramic room for 11 days. What a treat! The room was modern and very comfortable, with the best massage and jet shower we've ever had in a hotel. The windows and view exceeded expectations - over the course of the week we enjoyed the valley vista in glorious afternoon sunshine, early morning mist, thunder storms and almost everything in between (no snow in June). This hotel also delivers on other fronts. The wellness centre on the roof has a fabulous pool with views and a lovely sun terrace and the public agrees are well planned and very comfortable. The restaurant food was well presented and varied, although we would have liked a little more choice for the evening meal.

Review 76:Large Room in old tower - everything pretty tired, needs refurb. Style mismatch of new/old wasn't easy on the eye - we have seen similar extensions accomplished more sympathetically. Most public areas seemed too hot - maybe the AC has been switched off for economy. Signage to hotel rather lacking, possibly due to roadworks problem. We were without SatNav on this trip. H/B deal - food OK, not wonderful. One main course was spoilt, where chef sprinkled large salt crystals over the meat. Staff, mainly trainees just ignored protestation. Poor for a 5 star.

Review 77:Fabulous location/views Classic piece of old Austria. Spa/pool looked good, but we arrived too late to try it as town was totally gridlocked due to some crazy mismanagement of roadworks.

Review 78:Bad WiFi connectivity, nude wellness.

Review 79:Very poor internet

Review 80:Great Pool Service revelation,

Review 81:Everything is excellent, location of hotel is just awesome.

Review 82:should stay longer

Review 83:everything perfect

Review 84:The cigarrette smoke spreading from the neighboring room balkonies to other rooms. A BIG problem.

Review 85:The view down to the town, swimming-pool, breakfast

Review 86:Excellent room, clean, comfortable beds, kindly staff

Review 87:Great value when you book a full board package
