Situated just 350 feet above a private beach, Blue Whale Resort offers self-catering chalets with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Guests can enjoy the hiking trails and fishing on the beach.
The chalets all come with a covered terrace and BBQ area. There is also an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The lounge includes satellite TV and the kitchen is equipped with an oven, stove and refrigerator.
Towels and linen are provided, and the chalets are serviced six days per week. Conference facilities are also available on site, and there is free Wi-Fi in public areas.

Review 1：Door looked as if it had been forced and difficult to lock and alarm didn't work. Felt insecure. Overflow from bathroom was dripping outside for the duration of our stay. Nice accommodation but poor maintenance

Review 5：A wonderful resort with a breathtaking view over the coast and the sea. Chalet #1 is the best one! :-) Just one quick hint: contact the manager a few days before arrival to check their business hours on the arrival day (the ones on booking.com are not always correct). You will need a code to open the main gate and there is a secret place where you will find your chalet key if you do not arrive within the business hours.
Review 6：Enjoyed the views and natural vegetation surrounding the chalets and premises. The background noise of the waves crashing against the rocks was pleasant and a reminder of being away from city bustle.
Review 7：Very bad place to go to in spring. Very very cold rooms with one small heater for the whole place. Bigger duvets for the single beds please.

Review 10：I was very tired before my vacation and just needed a quiet place to rest.The resort was beautiful and the chalet nice and quiet with a fantastic view!!when you step outside you smell and hear the ocean which was breathtaking.The rooms are big and clean and the bathroom was also very tidy.I loved the fact that I didn't hear or see the fellow vacationers all the time.The staff members were fantastic and very friendly and didn't bother me at all.Absolutely loved it!!!

Review 13：Just a small amount of tea, coffee, sugar and milk would have been much appreciated, until we could get to the shops to buy our own stores. The cottage lacks cosiness, some cushions and comfortable chairs, both inside and on the patio would help. Having no personal contact with the owners or any staff was disconcerting.

Review 18：Chalet #1 is the first house to the coast line with just an undescribable view. It's a 3 room house with to large bedrooms and a big living room with a terrace in front where you can have your braii. The kitchen has everything you need.
Review 19：The fact that I couldn't stay a bit longer. People that owns a lodge should realise that most of their accommodation comes from foreigner. A few places started to offer discounts if you have a barcoded SA ID book.
Review 20：The privacy - no one can look onto your balcony from their balconies. The staff are so friendly and I could see that they take pride in their work. We also love the fact that the natural habitats and fynbos wasn't destroyed.
