Reviews for Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing
Review 1:The staff was very unfriendly. I had 3-4 interactions with them and each time they acted like I was a bother to deal with. I also didn't like the way they kept telling us to "wash up" before using the hot tub-- very patronizing. I think they prefer the timeshare renters and don't like people who are renting for just a few nights. Also, I highly recommend re-confirming your reservation. When I initially got there, I was told that my reservation was cancelled (it was not) and they were not able to verify my booking. I had to get Booking.com involved and it was a huge hassle.
Review 2:The 1 bedroom condo was very nice. Perfect for a small family. Much nicer than a hotel room and great layout of the space. The hot tub/spa was also nice (but not accessible/allowed for children under 13).
Review 3:needed to change my dates and this was a non-refundable reservation (not even an option to switch dates around); staff was not helpful and attentive, first night we checked in the receptionist smelled of wine and had tinted teeth from drinking, once when I needed to ask staff question I waited at the counter close to ten minutes while the staff finished a phone order on business supplies and barely acknowledged I was waiting; housekeeping did not clean the room, make the bed, or resupply condiments in the kitchenette, they only dropped off fresh towels; breakfast was only served on Saturdays (we were under the impression when we reserved the room breakfast was complimentary and we assumed it was provided everyday); view from the room was back of an office building
Review 4:rooms were comfortable with a nice layout, nice furniture and modern appliances, kitchenette was great, entertainment amenities, nice location
Review 5:- Heater was way too loud. - Duvet cover looked good but felt like a sandpaper and sheets were too rough for comfort. Uncomfortable! - Shower curtain and two pillows had unclean smell. - Pillows and cushions were too bumpy and too heavy. - Kitchen counter needs more space.
Review 6:- Courteous and helpful front desk staff. - Overall, tastefully decorated. - Housekeeping called and asked if I needed anything when I asked for a privacy all day.
Review 7:1) The double log-in for internet was a bit irritating to use. 2) The complimentary breakfast could also include eggs and sausage :-) 3) The one-bedroom suite could have a floor to ceiling wall with no gaps, thus more privacy. Current arrangement isn't private. 4) Doors: The bedroom doors did have about an inch gap. The bathroom doors didn't lock, but should be fixed. 5) The TV's were small @ 32"/720p...should be updated 6) Mirror above fireplace was too high to use 7) The men's/women's room to shower before going to sauna/Jacuzzi could include lockers.
Review 8:The lobby, game room, room are all very clean. Pricing was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 9:I spent 2 nights at the Lodge, and it is really a "home away from home". The staff was really friendly, the accomodation was excellent. I absolutely recommend staying here :)
Review 10:The bed was on the small side. It felt like a double but was told they are all "standard" Queen beds. I guess "standard" equals small.
Review 11:A beautiful Coyote roamed the premises. Yes we kept our distance, and yes we named him Wiley.
Review 12:We could here the music from the lobby downstairs in our room (played from 7am to 10pm) Although they did turn it down when I complained.
Review 13:Really clean and spacious. Comfy pillows. Love having a kitchen.
Review 14:i've check-in after 2pm but the room does not make up yet. the heating had a little bit noisy. the yard was quite small. the tax is quite high.
Review 15:the room very clean and tidy. it got one bed room with the kitchen, dinning space and living room had an sofa bed.the queen size bed is pretty comfortable.
Review 16:I like that the bedroom and the bathroom or separate from the other living areas. The living area was nicely arranged and had comfortable furniture. The balcony was a nice touch. We heard coyotes howling at night which was cool. The location was great. It was close enough to the main strip but not too close where there were too many people around and noise.
Review 17:The lady that assisted us was being somewhat hounded by her supervisor wanting to hold a meeting while she was trying to help customers.. The manager did not act very professional..
Review 18:when we arrived we were greeted and assisted by a VERY nice and friendly lady... She was very welcoming...
Review 19:No air conditioning, no workout room, no pool, only an indoor spa. They did have 2 ceiling fans which we used. Very little countertop space.
Review 20:Like having a kitchen, and living room. It is small, but had everything we needed. The facilities are well kept. The stove had2 burners, and a convection/microwave.
Review 21:The room was very nice however a little cramped with the big table. The bed in bedroom was great. Shower was nice. It was very close to the wedding we were attending which was great!!
Review 22:Not one dislike. Kingsbury rooms are well stocked with all your needs. This the place to be and reasonable. Just Great.
Review 23:We had no complaints. We enjoyed our stay. We loved how nice the rooms and the staff was. I highly recommend. We will always stay at Kingsbury when we visit Tahoe. Go Kingsbury. Thanks for making our stay tremendous. Bridget n friends
Review 24:The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. There was a very bad smell by the elevator.
Review 25:Kitchen, refrigerator, one bedroom, the set up of the room, the shower, clean. Smell good, the quietness, breakfast.
Review 26:The breakfast It would be nice to have an eatery/restaurant within the facility
Review 27:The cozy rooms The fireplace The well equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster The fact that they made accommodations for a 2 hour early check in Good selection of movie DVDs
Review 28:No pool but it didn't matter since it was super cold anyway. We had to strip our bed and gather the trash before check out. That was not something we expected to do on our getaway.
Review 29:Staff accommodated our very late check in. It was like coming home. Loved our stay and will book again.
Review 30:I was so impressed! We had a lovely, spacious, comfortable condo sized unit. Quiet and serene spot with wooded views from a small balcony. GREAT value!
Review 31:parking tight, entrance hidden, front desk brusque and condesending, not friendly and I have never aid that before , tv hard to see sitting down, lite switches locations not optimum stayed a whole week and they want you to take off sheets, clean up everything! comp bfast on sat was waste of time - oatmeal, generic muffins, since you have a kitchen.
Review 32:beds excellent, kitchen, housekeeping good, price in shoulder season very good, I would stay again despite the negatives I list.
Review 33:A little bit of an odd smell in the room. Could also smell it outside of the building as well. Kind of a wet newspaper or cigar smell. Could have been their cleaning supplies. After being there for a day we really didn't notice it as much. Not a big deal.
Review 34:It was comfortable and clean and close to were we needed to be. The staff was friendly and helpful. And most importantly...they baked some of the best cookies we've ever had!!
Review 35:the only thing i could complain about is the duvet cover, a lil scratchy , but i just took it off nice down comforter provided.
Review 36:very friendly staff , very quite facilities, very nice accommodations up to date, sociable place with functions and lots of extras.
Review 37:This is my new favorite hotel for my Tahoe trips! I will never stay anywhere else! The room was so clean and beautiful, even the utensils were strategically placed in the drawer! There were even two flat screens in the room to watch the world series on! I have already recommended this hotel to several people. All I can say is it was amazing, wonderful and fantastic
Review 38:really liked the quaintness of the facility. beautiful bedroom sweet, welcoming environment, and nice amenities. The only one thing was a cute little squirrel that kept coming in and stealing food. He was standing on the pile of muffins so I didn't go get a muffin obviously
Review 39:They need Non Stick pans to cook with in kitchen. Eggs over easy was not an option. HA!HA! With no garbage disposal in sink it was tough to clean up after cooking. Small issues. Place was great!
Review 40:It was a very easy place to stay. Quiet, clean and easy to navigate. Would stay again.
Review 41:It's a bit off the beaten path, but that can be nice.
Review 42:Finding a reasonably priced hotel in South Lake Tahoe can be tough, but we were very happy with the Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing. It met all our needs.
Review 43:I wish the room had a wall all the way to the ceiling to better separate from the main living area. We have small children so it made it difficult to put them down and then be really quiet in the next room.
Review 44:Great price. Nice clean room. Nice that there is a living area, kitchenette, dining table, and bedroom. The bathroom is a nice size too.
Review 45:No elevators. Rooms were in a 3 story building. Breakfast provided only on Sat and Sun according to the reception desk.
Review 46:A nicely appointed, very clean room with separate sleeping area (louvre doors). Great kitchenette, dining nook and seating area with tv (limited cable networks). Property had a small outdoor seating, nice landscaping. Parking is free. Tucked away from major road so was quiet. A big plus.
Review 47:Pull out sofa bed disappointing. Very thin flat mattress, had to bolster it up with blankets from bed. If that were better, we would have marked everything excellent. Balcony is nice, very narrow and barely enough room to sit in a chair sideways, but still nice. Had much better views from balcony on this trip, staying in the 'other' building.
Review 48:Lobby area is very nice; books, movies, games available. Rooms (actually suites are amazing). Bedroom bed is very comfortable. This is a very quiet place, couldn't hear anything from rooms on either side of us. Third time staying and will stay here again.
Review 49:Queensize bed in bedroom and the sofabed in livingroom not terrible comfy.(usually the case).Opening between bedroom and livingroom.
Review 50:Being an apartment.Has all necessary equipment.Close to lake and casino area + secluded off mainstreets. Cute attractive
Review 51:There was no parking. We got home before midnight and had to park in a field next to the property and we then got blocked in because someone else had no parking either. Also the no AC sucked.
Review 52:The room was very nice and clean.
Review 53:No a/c but no big deal.
Review 54:Was very impressed with the layout and decor of the room. Probably the best we ever stayed at.Beautiful view of the woods from our outdoor patio. No a/c but didn't need it. Ceiling fans kept us comfy. Close to Harvey's in case you attend outdoor concerts. Will be back for sure.
Review 55:The room is not air conditioned. We should have left the slider open when we went out for the evening... we returned at midnight and it was over 80º in the room. The portable fan was inoperable, and there is no one on staff after 11 pm.
Review 56:We liked the location: close to casinos, but off the main road. The price we paid was a good value. Relatively quiet, with a pretty, wooded view from our balcony.
Review 57:I was surprised to know there was no ac but no big deal there and also the pool access ended pretty early.
Review 58:I enjoyed the tucked away feel of this hidden little gem! I loved that there was a full kitchen in the suite. It was like a home away from home!
Review 59:1. NOT a lake view, as advertised and requested 2. Living room sofa bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable 3. I feel that non- time share guests should receive daily housekeeping
Review 60:Clean end unit
Review 61:It shows on the website continental breakfast everyday, but it was only on the weekend. Also after a power outage, the TV did not work the last 2 days of our stay, but they were working at all the other business in town.
Review 62:Location and price are excellent , staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good.
Review 63:The game room was quite toasty and the pool table worked intermittently. A couple of ceiling fans in the game room would do a great service.
Review 64:Free laundry facilities, trash and towel exchange every day from housekeeping, and availability of BBQ grills outside were a nice perk.
Review 65:The only negative was we were running late and Blanca was very pushy and rude and threatened to charge us another day. The housekeepers were cleaning other rooms so they weren't waiting to clean our room. After spending $750 on 3 parties she should have been a little more kinder. ZIt ended such a pleasant stay on a negative note...on being only 1 hr late. Also gardner left the sprinklers running on our motorcycles..he should be more careful were he places the sprinkler.
Review 66:Very very impressed very clean.excellent rooms..couldnt ask for more. I came with 2 other parties and All 3 parties were impressed
Review 67:Can't think of anything
Review 68:Warm welcome, courteous staff, perfect location, felt like hone there.
Review 69:Convertible sofa bed awful! Noisy neighbors - no soundproofing.

Review 81:Didn't stay long enough!

Review 98:Rose at the Front desk was very nice and helpful. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Review 99:You get so much more than a standard motel room and it is usually quite a bit less expensive.
Review 100:The low pressure shower head.

Review 102:Spacious room with kitchen Seperate bedroom and lots of towels
