Nestled at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains, Mountain View Lodge offers self-catering apartments in the centre of George. The landscaped garden contains an outdoor pool and barbecue facilities.
The apartments feature a seating area with a satellite TV and most have a dining area. All are individually furnished and decorated. Free Wi-Fi is provided.
Each apartment has a kitchen or kitchenette where guests can prepare their meals. Local restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute drive.

Review 1：Was not serviced daily, and very embarassing to ask for toilet paper, which was supposed to be replaced regularly. Stayed for a week, no clean towels provided unless asked for.

Review 5：It was very cold (Weather). It would have been nice if room heaters were provided. Running hot water had to be shared with adjoining room.

Review 7：At the time of our visit it was quite cold in the unit and except for extra blankets (which got heavy on the bed) and a hot water bottle, there was no provision for keeping warm. A heater or wall panels would have helped.

Review 12：The lady who greeted us kept saying the problem was not them. It was Johannesburg. When you are dealing with front of house you are not interested in the background admin. Outeniqua was confirmed they needed to make a plan to sort out the problem not blame and entity that is not on site

The rooms were spacious and the kitchen really nice - we did some cooking There was a pool table outside with a little pool which was pleasant. It was also the cheapest place in George!
Review 18：One window didn't close properly, and well, the bathroom door had a concertina door, found it difficult to manouvre, but it was ok. Was reported to the staff about the window.

I had planned to use wifi to make some reservations when I was in George. Had to go sit in my car outside at 10 pm for the browsing. Finally gave up and used my mobile data.
