Reviews for Silver Inn

Review 1:I really wanted a microwave oven in my room which is pretty common for this level of hotel up in summit county. The contenintal breakfast was very limited to a bagel or muffin and orange juice.

Review 2:I liked the location and the friendly staff.

Review 3:Breakfast is not much. Futures are I but dated but work fine and are clean.

Review 4:Great location right next to a Target. Clean rooms comfortable bed. Good size room with 2 queen beds. Fixtures such as faucets and counters are builder grade but do the job.

Review 5:This hotel is a hidden gem of Summit County. A family run business and they actually are interested in your stay. I have stayed in numerous hotels and this one meets or exceeds the bar. Price, cleanliness and friendly people. What more could you ask for?

Review 6:minor complaint. As pointed out by others, the breakfast serving area is small and there is no designated eating area. That said, the small lobby is adjacent and when I was there no one was using the comfy couches to sit and eat, so I don't see it as an issue. It would be nice if they supplied trays to facilitate taking your food and drink back to the room, which is where I prefer to eat anyway.

Review 7:The staff, who I believe are the live in owners, were consistantly warm, friendly and helpful. When the control knob on my shower broke, they immediately fixed it. They even had the parts on hand. Nice that they had a refrigerator and microwave. The Super Target next door made stocking up for snacks and last minute needs super easy.

Review 8:Internet speeds were very slow, so doing any video or gaming online was almost impossible.

Review 9:Owners run the hotel, who are very friendly. Clean, great location in Silverthorne with lots of outlet stores and restaurants nearby, a 40 minute drive to Vail resort. Nice HOT tub and sauna. Free basic breakfast. Great value.

Review 10:the breakfast could be upgraded with fresh waffles

Review 11:the owner is very nice and welcoming. the location is superb. very comfy to get skiing in breck from there. the outlet stores are close by and target is right around the corner. perfect for people skiing in breck and keystone and even copper.

Review 12:There was hair in the bathtub, the tub stopper didn't go down so we couldn't take a bath, the sink stopper wouldn't come up so it didn't drain the water, and the electric outlet by the sink didn't work properly. Also the hairdryer didn't work properly. There was no coffee maker in the room, either. We told the desk person who did not offer to comp us anything.

Review 13:The bed was comfortable and the Wi-FI worked.

Review 14:The advertised internet didn't work. I had no signal in my room. When I asked about the WiFi I was told to come closer to the lobby and use the couch there. The deadbolt was misaligned in my room making it very difficult to engage.

Review 15:The Silver Inn is a no frills place to stay the night. It has everything you need and nothing you don't. It's adequate, it's a good place to get a nights sleep without breaking the bank. It's budget hotel quality.

Review 16:Would have liked to have hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes.

Review 17:Pleasant & helpful staff, very clean & quiet room, good continental breakfast. Everything was in perfect working condition including the heater which provided plenty of heat on a bitter cold night.

Review 18:Had no working key to my room and the office wouldn't give me another key that works. They told me to just latch lock the door. Ended up missing out the hot tub in the morning. Also got too chilled when stranded outside my room with wet suits on the night before. Also, breakfast was too lame.

Review 19:Comfortable bed.

Review 20:There was no latch or any kind of lock that I could lock from the inside that people could not access from the outside, and the deadbolt on the door did not work.

Review 21:The location was great, the staff was friendly, and the room was very clean.

Review 22:The only downside was that when our neighbors took their showers, we could hear it in our room. While a bit noisier than some more expensive hotels, it was tolerable.

Review 23:The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and curteous. I would recommend Silver Inn to friends and family.

Review 24:Fabulous location and very friendly staff. Comfortable room and quiet even though we were close to the lobby. We liked being walking distance from our favorite restaurants.

Review 25:The manager was very friendly and stayed up until 2am when I was checking in. I had a wedding in Steamboat and he was nice enough to hold my room and wait up for me. I will definitely be staying here again when I am in Silverthorne.

Review 26:First room had TV problem and was fixed by switching room. Second room had very loud AC when it kicked on. We answered it by turning it off and opening the windows which worked out OK for us.

Review 27:staff was friendly and location is good. Muffins at breakfast were good.

Review 28:Pink wallpaper. I got used to it and found it charming by the end of my stay but it definitely struck me when I first arrived,

Review 29:Has a great family feel. Loved this place

Review 30:Except for the LCD TV, the decor could have been from 1986, outdated without being retro.

Review 31:Advertised as a no frills budget hotel, no surprises. Perfect for a single night stay.

Review 32:This is a nice place to stay if you just want a clean room and decent bed for a night. Things are very basic. The breakfast is just juice, coffee and good muffins. This is our second stay here and would stay here again.

Review 33:The host was very nice and flexible when we checked in and out. A very homey experience with a relaxing atmosphere. Everybody was right in their reviews when we found this place, "very clean".

Review 34:None. No real breakfast--coffee and a bagel but I knew that ahead of time

Review 35:The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They facilitated an early check in to help us out.

Review 36:I would have preferred a big breakfast. The inn has a simple breakfast. That said, the staff made sure the coffee was ready and food items were available, and even provided free bottled water in the lobby.

Review 37:The atmosphere was friendly and laid-back. Our party had two rooms, and the staff gave us rooms next to each other, so we were able to spend time together, easily. Also, the rooms were very clean. We were also able to take a nice walk along the river, just across the street.

Review 38:Did I stay in a different place than some of these reviewers? Or do most reviewers stay at a Motel 6? Breakfast is awful, facilities, what facilities?

Review 39:Not a lot to like to be honest...

Review 40:Breakfast wasn't great, but was fine for grab-and-go.

Review 41:The location was fantastic for the wedding we attended at Silverthorne Pavilion. It was about a 5 minute walk and was very easy to find. It was nice to be able to check in a few hours earlier (2pm) than at many hotels.

Review 42:The bed was like a foam mattress and stiff. A microwave in the room would be an excellent addition for convenience of patrons and would encourage me to use this hotel often.

Review 43:Staff, location, cleanliness

Review 44:Breakfast? What breakfast. There was 3 bagles, 1 slice of bread. Some bananas, a small carton of OJ & Costco muffins cut in half, with a single toaster + a Microwave. 1 pot of coffee. Did not see Tea or Cocoa packs avalible. That it. Also no place to even sit to have a breakfast. A couch + 1 chair in entry lobby across from the front desk. Entire breakfast bar area only about 4 Ft. wide located in a narrow hall next to check in desk. If 3 showed up at same time 1 would have to wait for the other 2 move out of the way. To keek from bumping into each other. Also very thin walls and could not get a parking space when we got back there at 10:30 PM Fri. Night **Sat. 7/25/15**

Review 45:Room basic but clean. Stayed there only because it was close to the venue that we came to town for.

Review 46:It was just a little old looking and plain. Didn't have a coffee maker in the room.

Review 47:The staff was nice. It was close to shopping, and not too far a drive to the lake.

Review 48:The staff were very friendly and you could tell took pride in their property. Just like the other reviews I read it is clean and with no frills. We were looking for an affordable place for the night and this was that place. Nothing fancy but definitely worked.

Review 49:The hotel was more basic than we had expected - more like a Motel 6. The bedspread was a bit torn and we could hear sounds through the wall of the next room.

Review 50:The staff was very friendly and helpful. Any time we were in the lobby area, they checked to see if we had any needs and gave good information about what was interesting to see in the area. Breakfast, though small - just bagels, muffins, and bananas - was fairly good quality and the coffee was regularly refreshed. Everything was clean.

Review 51:we wish we could be staying there more often!!

Review 52:It is very clean, excellent location, staff is wonderful and very friendly. We have been to four other hotels in Frisco and Silverthrone and this is our hotel from now on.

Review 53:Breakfast could of been a bit more, tons of carbs, but no protein.Having said that, it was still good, muffins, bagels and good coffee.

Review 54:Well positioned between the various Mountains with a Target store rightnext door for anything forgotten in packing. Clean, Quiet and a verycomfortable bed! Very nice staff!

Review 55:our neighbors were up late and were talking outside our window after midnight. it wasn't the motels fault just inconsiderate loud mouths, who would have done it where ever they stayed.

Review 56:great breakfast for the $ of the room

Review 57:Only problem was we were at a very end room (which we loved the location) and the wifi was very weak. Good thing of all that was we were not there to sit in the room on the computer

Review 58:Great value, great room, very friendly staff. Very important to me is cleanliness, and the room was immaculate. My kids and I took a little trip and found this hotel last minute during Spring Break, we got very lucky, and were very pleased with our stay.

Review 59:Nothing. Everything was great!

Review 60:They use actual keys here instead of those weird cards that don't work. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was very clean.

Review 61:The room was somewhat "dated" in style, and our shower knob was broken (it sort of worked if we pulled on it with all our strength).

Review 62:The hotel was clean and the continental breakfast was pretty good. Tasty coffee!

Review 63:Inexpensive hotel that does the job nicely. We were comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. Sauna was great for after a day on the slopes.

Review 64:We were at a room furthest from lobby where wifi was weak. Strong signal two rooms down hallway. Also some may not like lack of elevator for second floor.

Review 65:Large, comfortable room with fridge. Very quiet. Attentive, friendly staff.

Review 66:Internet, although free, was really slow.

Review 67:Title says it all. It's not he Ritz with ski-in/ski-outconvenience and luxury. However, it's easily accessible, wellmaintained and managed by some very nice and professional staff. Ifyou're looking for a place to sleep while on a budget ski vacation, this is the place to stay.

Review 68:Friendly, competent staff, great location, short easy walk to Target, nice walk down a rail trail to malls, dining, etc. Easy drive to Keystone, A-basin, Breck, Vail, BC.

Review 69:Hot tub was nice but the light was out so it was dark when we wanted to use it.

Review 70:Hotel was very clean and very comfortable - will be staying here again on one of our many overnight ski trips!

Review 71:This is a personal preference, but I found the memory foam beds very uncomfortable. I don't think they were trying to get cheap beds, a review of the mattress made it seem like this was a quality foam sleeper, I just don't care for memory foam - if you do, then you're in luck. If you don't or are unsure, be aware that it can really throw your sleep off.

Review 72:The location is perfect if you're coming to ski at the various resorts in Summit. Equidistant (15 min) from Breckenridge and Keystone. The free shuttle bus is one block away (though I didn't use it, it runs pretty frequently and into the night). For the area and the season, you can't beat the price (under $100) especially with the free breakfast - which was basic (bagels, etc) but hearty enough for a good start. The staff (seems to be family run) is quite friendly and efficient.

Review 73:The beds were too soft for my taste but clean.

Review 74:The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It looks like they just remodeled it. It has a nice inviting feeling and great location.

Review 75:A little pricey for a fairly standard room; shower head was only okay if you are 5' 6" or shorter, no premium TV channels like HBO or Showtime

Review 76:Reservation within a week of staying there; nice breakfast of bagels and muffins; close to skiing; 2 Queen size beds; small refrigerator in room; bottle opener in room, modern TV; close to restaurants and Target

Review 77:The clothes hangers are difficult to keep in the metal rod when moving them from side to side because of perforations in the metal opening that the hangers fall from.

Review 78:All major features in the room, from the lamps to the toilet to the shower to the sink to the heater, worked very well. It's obvious the place is meticulously maintained.

Review 79:I had reserved two rooms. When paying for the rooms the woman told me at least five times that if we were loud she would kick us out. She then told me that our rooms were to be spotless upon departure. The "breakfast" consisted of a few muffins and bagels. Definitely not worth staying there.

Review 80:Was a little difficult to maintain a comfortable heat setting. I put this in the negative column but I don't really have any real negative comments

Review 81:Very comfortable, good sound proofing between rooms, clean and staff were exceptional nice

Review 82:Parking spaces are limited when there is no vacancy.

Review 83:The hotel is located within close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and ski resorts. The room was very clean and the bedding was comfortable.

Review 84:While it doesn't really bother me, be forewarned that this hotel is a mix of smoking and non-smoking rooms. If you are overly sensitive to cigarette smoke or its smell, this may not be the place for you.

Review 85:One of the least expensive hotels in the area. Great, friendly staff. Clean, good sized rooms, convenient to Copper. Hot beverages all day and free simple breakfast items.

Review 86:The Silver Inn was easy to find and was very comfortable, affordable and had a very welcoming atmosphere. My family and I (group total of 14) had 4 rooms and everyone enjoyed staying there. Silverthorne had 17 inches of snow overnight and the owners were up and out early plowing and shoveling the sidewalks and parking lot. I would stay at the Silver Inn again.

Review 87:A lack of restaurants in the area

Review 88:Other than being very clean it was really quiet you did not hear other people moveing around it was a beautiful place to stay

Review 89:A great place to stay at a very reasonable rate. Silver Inn is comfortable and quiet. There's a Target across the street which is very handy. The hot tub felt great and the view from our room was quiet nice.

Review 90:We were pleasantly surprised that the motel was so nice. The price was reasonable for the location, quiet, clean and in good condition. The breakfast was adequate for our purposes and the coffee was good. Our room had a Temperpedic mattress and we thought it was very comfortable.

Review 91:The location was perfect: during our visit we visited the recreation center and enjoyed the pool, close to the Outlet stores, close to Frisco where we strolled the shops on main street. Our room was clean, bright and very comfortable. We will definitely return.

Review 92:The breakfast. Adequate but minimal. Coffee is good.

Review 93:I have stayed here several times in the past 10 years. While it is not fancy or glitzy, it is spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is a family run business and you can tell they take pride in their hotel. Everyone is friendly and accommodating.

Review 94:Be aware there is no elevator to 2nd floor. Had handicapped person with me so desk clerk changed us to 1st floor so this was not a problem for us.

Review 95:Nice little hotel for the money. Sheets and towels were soft. Bed was quite comfortable. Clean bathroom. Quiet. Friendly attendant.

Review 96:The people were friendly and the atmosphere was nice - love the mountain views and western feel. Most of all, the value was good - they were significantly less in price for a quality hotel.

Review 97:Only complaint would be that we had trouble with the wifi. We were at the far end of the building and our signal was very weak and at times couldn't get connected at all.

Review 98:It was always quiet and peaceful, the staff was super friendly, the whole hotel was clean and comfortable. It's conveniently located next to a super target so you can walk over for any basic necessities.

Review 99:Water in bubble bath was not fresh maybe becuse I was there outside the season?

Review 100:Big comfortable room Very clean Sauna available for gueast Nice running trial along the river across the street. Close to big supermarket

Review 101:Not much not to like. Breakfast seemed a little sparse, but was filling so no real complaint. Would have liked a coffee pot in the room but wasn't a real problem.

Review 102:Was impressed by how clean the hotel was...Room very comfortable and well furnished with flat screen TV. Coffee pot always on and fresh. Owner was very courteous and friendly. Location was good, easy to get in and out of.

Review 103:Bathroom was a little small Not the most comfortable bed

Review 104:Size of the room - fit travel crib easily Location - Target next door was very convenient Location - Close enough to Breckenridge to work well for us

Review 105:It didn't bother us but for some people it might: no ironing board or microwave

Review 106:Very clean good simple breakfast of muffins, bagels, and bananas reasonable price for area nice staff good lighting over vanity

Review 107:The hot tub could use a great scrubbing. The breakfast was laughable at best. Muffins, bread and a banana or two.

Review 108:The price was right for clean room. Bed was comfy.

Review 109:Rather expensive for the quality of the room. In need of repairs. Sink faucet sprayed water over everything. Breakfast "buffet" is a joke. Seems like it was set up in a closet. Nasty donuts. Nice bananas at least. Probably OK for ski bums in winter. Never again for us.

Review 110:Clean room.

Review 111:Mattress and pillows could have been upgraded, but it was all very clean which was wonderful

Review 112:Although it was not plush, it was very clean, which is what matters most to me.

Review 113:The hall way smelled of smoke.

Review 114:We stayed longer than expected as our car broke down. The people at Silver Inn were very good to us and we ended up having a wonderful time

Review 115:There was nothing to dislike!

Review 116:The room was well situated to meet any need. The air conditioning system was simple to use and very effective. The bathroom and shower facilities were excellent. The carpet was attractive, and the bed (mattress) was of high quality. We got an excellent night's sleep. We really enjoyed talking with the Polish Lady who managed the intake of all clients.

Review 117:The style is a little old, i.e. the bedspread. The breakfast area is tiny with no space to eat.

Review 118:The bed was amazingly comfortable. The room is spacious and very clean. The TV is up-to-date. Wi-Fi perfect. The lady who owns(?) it is wonderful - so friendly and pleasant.

Review 119:Needs a pool for kids

Review 120:Comfortable, well taken care of. Staff is fantastic. Not big and fancy but customer service makes it for me. Much better than the chain hotel down the street.

Review 121:No frills, but clean, and QUIET! I would definitely stay there again. The staff were there to answer any questions we had, they had good coffee on in the morning, happy, happy, happy!

Review 122:No elevator. Didn't bother us but if you have trouble with stairs or heavy luggage it could be an issue. We didn't find the advertised breakfast...just saw some cans of juice and a couple people eating donuts.

Review 123:Quieter location than the chain hotels.

Review 124:The bathroom and tub shower was a little dated and tight. Just know going in, that the 'free breakfast' is a cold continental breakfast (adequate for me).

Review 125:Basic budget minded, clean 2 queen room with refrigerator, comfortable beds and friendly staff.

Review 126:Walls were thin, could hear the neighbors who were up all night

Review 127:N/A

Review 128:It was conveniently located near copper ski resort, the staff was nice and room was clean

Review 129:Great rate in a great location. Breakfast was enough to get us through a few morning laps.

Review 130:Clean and friendly staff

Review 131:Very loud night. Big group stayed above us and constant noise all night.

Review 132:Hotel was clean
