Reviews for Marco Beach Ocean Resort
Review 1:Rooms are in desperate need for an upgrade- not worth $400+/ night Not exactly clean either
Review 2:The beach and surrounding hotel grounds are beautiful
Review 3:Pool is closed in the night, happy hour in the bars is very poor with very limited options and drinks are very expensive.
Review 4:Hotel is on the beach , rooms are facing the beach so beautiful sunsets from the room balcony. Free internet.
Review 5:The only thing we thought could be improved apon is the fact that there no place to get coffee in the early morning. Even though they do supply a coffee pot in the room , however ours had mold so we didn't use it .
Review 6:The beach is outstanding along with the food in the formal Italian restaurant . The bell staff was very friendly and attentive .
Review 7:It was our Honeymoon night.....they went out of their way to make it special.....Tara our room service attendant ...Amazing....helped us find a restaurant. Brought us champagne...catered to our every need....Thank you...Thumbs up
Review 8:Happy hour is not a good deal at all and we felt like a rip off.
Review 9:Room was big with living room and kitchen facilities, bathroom was also big and comfortable. Hotel is located on the beach and our room was with sea view and sunset view
Review 10:Only downside at breakfast if coffee is a bottomless pot why do you have to pay for each pot of tea?
Review 11:Booked a suite for our anniversary, with a wonderful gulf view to watch the sunset. Before our trip the concierge had responded to my request for ideas for dining with a very comprehensive list. In the end we decided to dine in at the Sal e Pepe restaurant overlooking the beach. Wonderful food, great attention to detail and not rushed at all. In fact we decided to eat breakfast there too.
Review 12:That some hotel big shots family was having a wedding and took over the pool and acted like it was a frat party disregarding the other guests.
Review 13:The staff was all friendly and helpful.
Review 14:"Hot water" was never hot until run for an unreasonable period anytime of the day.
Review 15:Excellent food and service with great access to the beach.
Review 16:We were given a room initially that was not clean and had a sofa that was ripped. We were changed to another room. The walk to the beach is through the car park but this wasn't much of a problem.
Review 17:Although we had to change rooms we were happy with the apartment we swapped to. Suite had kitchen and separate bedroom and a beautiful sea view from balcony. Hotel was very impressive and had valet parking.
Review 18:Paid parking, took a while before hot water reached my room, I was on the 8th floor. Best not to use 3rd party to book room. Prices for breakfast, i thought i would be getting steak and eggs, not the case.
Review 19:Went off peak. Not croweded. Able to mix wtih the locals very friendly. Room was nice, plus the view. Having a small kitchen was nice.
Review 20:There was construction work being done on a near by hotel. You could hear loud noices from 10 am. There were too many unused beach chairs with umbrellas in the front row right by the beach for many hours straight. Those had towels on them but the people even though were barely ever there (our family spent many hours in the beach) those chairs we could not use. We couldn't use the front row once the entire time of our stay.
Review 21:The service was great. The hotel was very clean and so was the room. Peaceful and relaxing environment. The food we ordered was great and brought right to the beach or pool for us. Valet service was excellent! Our room 807 was very clean and we always had toiletries and plenty if towels. The pool are always had warm towels available for all.
Review 22:Room was small. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Long walk to beach. Building blocked view. Pool faced east.
Review 23:Sale Pepe restaurant was first class. View from restaurant at sunset was spectacular.
Review 24:The walk to the beach - it is too far for a beachside hotel. The service charge applied by the restaurant - it is unnecessary at such a grand location.
Review 25:Staff efficiency and friendly. Excellent restaurant that has an exquisite menu. Spacious room with a well stocked kitchenette.
Review 26:$18.00 per day parking was too much, 18% gratutity on all foods & drinks, and sofa uncomfortable.
Review 27:Location, food quality, service, choice for tv stations, pool area.
Review 28:You have to walk from the lobby, through the underground car park to get to the beach and the restaurant! The valet broke the bell on my bike when he took it out the car and left it for us to find
Review 29:The beachside location and the views. The maid service was excellent
Review 30:The hotel has recently been renovated and converted into the Marco Beach Ocean Resort and the rooms are good, but not excellent for the prices they are charging. Buyer beware with the low number of reviews which gives them a score well above what the hotel really deserves. Bottom line, We did not feel we got our money's worth.
Review 31:The staff are excellent, always helpful and cheerful. The location is very good, gulf view from the upper floor is nice and relaxing.
Review 32:Dated.
Review 33:Location though some rooms had a blocked view

Review 42:Location , suite setup, view and staff was excellent at ever corner.
Review 43:Very small pool for the size of the resort, but it was nice, just small
Review 44:The food was awesome and beautiful hotel as well.
Review 45:the atmosphere of an island !
Review 46:nutella on the waffles
Review 47:beach
Review 48:The hotel, the beach, the Restaurant.
Review 49:Entire place earns well it's top notch reputation
Review 50:It would have been nice to know that the main restaurant was going to be closed during our stay
Review 51:Nada
Review 52:Everything Staff is incredible
Review 53:Nothing
Review 54:Location, staff, food, beach
Review 55:Beautiful resort
Review 56:The $18/day parking fee. The attitude of the bar tenders. Room furniture banged up. TV constantly reboots. The 18% gratuity added to the bar tab.
Review 57:Front desk, valets, cleaning crew were great. Beach attendents as well. Beach is beutiful. Pool small but nice. Bed was comfortable.
Review 58:The pool bar is understaffed and the poor bartenter had to do EVERYTHING by himself. He tried very hard to accommodation very demanding pool clienteles.
Review 59:Salsa y Pepe was OUTSTANDING food and service. The hotel staff gave excellent service.
Review 60:Being evacuated at 6.45am on Saturday 15th September 2012 due to a water pipe bursting and leaking into the electrical system!!!
Review 61:Our room was on 12th floor and we had a superb view of the beach and ocean. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We absolutely loved it and hope to visit again.
Review 62:Lack of decent cocktail bar, and restaurant was closed on two of the nights we stayed. Ventured out locally but there is a limited choice of good restaurants on the island. That would be our only criticism.
Review 63:Suite was large and comfortable, very well maintained. Room serviced twice a day, masses of towels. Proximity to and view of the beautiful beach was a big factor in the enjoyment of our holiday. Beach chairs, umbrellas and service was great, and we appreciated not having to pay extra for this. Staff all polite, helpful and cheerful, nice to be greeted by name.
Review 64:When I arrived after a long car trip, I was greeted by a smelly pillow. I had to wrap t-shirts around it in order to sleep on the dirty thing. We were also greeted by a $18 daily charge to park our car. THis was not part of the fee that was intially disclosed, but no alternative was given. You had to park there, period. So, we spent $100 to park our car not including the valet tip. Also, the elevator to the beach was broken and we had to ride the lobby elevator down to the beach. That sent us on a longer walk to the beach and also walking thru the lobby with all the beach stuff. Also, the maid left our door unlocked and open to the terrace level. Someone could have easily walked in and stolen anything from our terrace level room. When I complained to Robert, the Manager, he did not even apologize for the issues. Very upsetting.
Review 65:The location was good.
Review 66:Like everything about it!!!!!
