Reviews for The Getaway Guesthouse
Review 1：The guesthouse is located in a residential neighborhood with quite a few dogs that could be irritating for those staying on the front side of the guesthouse. Fortunately, they were only noisy when there was foot traffic on the street, which was rare during our visit. The Wi-Fi was down in the penthouse area. It was no big deal since we were both offline for the entire week. besides, we had our phones if necessary.
Review 2：Perfect location and super friendly staff overall. Breakfast and bed overlooking the ocean was a major plus. The rooms allow you to open up the glass doors to let the sea breeze in. Laundry was a reasonable cost. The hotel resides at the top of the hill so you will have to walk a kilometer or so to get to the beach. I did not mind it at all. It only added to the level of privacy by not being right on the beach.
Review 3：The WiFi did not reach the penthouse. It wasn't a deal breaker since this stay was primary to forget I existed for a week. The dogs across the street could be an issue for some guest. Great overall stay though.
Review 4：This was a small getaway on the coast. The staff was great and accommodating. The location was just off the main road so there was not a lot of traffic. The stay was peaceful and cozy.
Review 5：Rooms are very outdated, beds uncomfortable, one room is next to the bar with two slot machines, gardens not maintained. Very overpriced! Not what I expected from a 4 star B&B rather a 2 star one.

Review 7：Unfortunately they had a plumbing/geyser issue during our stay that effected the hot water to all our shower, after complaining they where slow to respond. Aswell as a very noisy aircon above our room which made it almost impossible to sleep.

Review 10：Wi-Fi on top floor was poor signal, so had to go downstairs. Not a major hassle just its nice to be able to internet in ones own room.

Review 12：The ad on your website is not correct There was no dstv / the tv in my room did not work / there was no aircon / the water was cold for shower / the breakfast was a slice of toast egg en bacon - ridiculous for a 4 star accommodation - even the juice was not proper juice - This accommodation' s ad give you a total false impression of what to expect . It is only a 2 star place definitely not 4 star The rates are 4 star that is where it ends They don't even put toilet rolls in your bathroom
