Review 1：All of the above. It was "No frills" which was fine. We just came down for Del Mar. SO we got there at 8:30 at night & left early the next day.
Review 2：I didn't like how my bed was dirty and the covers had stains and someone's else's hair on them. I immediately called the front desk to change them.
Review 3：This hotel really represents that saying " It's not about what's on the outside, it's about what's in the inside." The outside looks old and ran down, but the room inside is really nice and renovated from the last time I stay there a year ago. The price is fair. And it's close to everything.
Review 4：Wood Floors in room dirty, bed sheets and towels worn and thin,!no closet, no iron, no ironing board, no microwave, poor lighting outside partially renovated, toilet seat broken completely off . No Kleenex .

Review 8：Did not have King bed as reserved. Did not have dressers, tables or bathroom counterspace for our stuff. Pool and hot tub not working as promised. The staff tried to change Booking.com reservation price and lost reservation in their system. Had to show proof, and wait for over 20 minutes while they called Booking.com because their other Motel 6 employee had deleted it. They tried to charge me more and say tax wasn't included, and it was an ordeal.

Review 10：The recent remodeling was the only reason I booked the Motel 6. It looked nice in the photos and the room was pretty good. My only complaint was that the comforter smelled like b.o. but I don't use those anyway. The surrounding neighborhood was a little seedy.

Review 13：Advertised to have a pool and spa, but both were drained and emitting a foul smell. Upon arrival, women were sunning themselves in the hallway because there was no access to the pool deck. Had to go to the lobby for coffee, shampoo, and towels in the morning.

Review 17：Pretty much everything you could think of. Noisy, management has a way of miscommunicating everything. Somebody tried using a different room key while I was sleeping in the room to try and enter the room. They knocked and attempted to enter not even 5 seconds after. I was afraid to leave the room half the time and took all of my personal belongings with every time I left for a certain amount of time. If there are other hotel possibilities you are concidering, try those first.

I'm not sure I understand why it took more than 20 minutes to check in on a reservation. The check-in clerk was a non-native-English speaker and was extremely difficult to understand.

Review 34：The beds are new and confortable. The bathroom is renewed and really nice. The wifi is excellent. The beach is not to far from the motel. There are restaurants and cinema close to the motel.
Review 35：Management was terrible to begin with, the rooms were small and it looked dirty. The people did not look friendly at all. It looked like the cheap motel you take someone to after a long night drinking at a club. It honestly looked as if prostitutes were in and out of that place. We decided to stay there that night because there was no other place we could go. The following morning we decided to get up and shower (4 of us); there was only one towel. When my husband went to ask for more towels the manager suggested we let the towel dry since there were no dry towels available. Keep in mind you are near the ocean and the humidity would not make that possible. Initially the gentleman lied and said he was going to bring the towels to our room, after waiting for an hour m husband went back and asked again; that's when the manager told us to let it dry. After going back and forth my husband asked for a refund and wanted to look for another hotel to stay at the rest of the weekend; the manager got upset and stated he should give us our money back because he can rent it for more but didnt want to give us the money. We decided to call booking.com and ask for a refund which they did kindly after hearing the manager yell and scream at us for what ever reason. This guy was yelling and screaming all sorts of profanity to us simply because we complained about the towels. Save your money and look for a better hotel. It'll be worth it.

Review 46：The whole place is under construction. Scaffolding everywhere. I hadrequested a ground floor room if they had no elevator. They has us lookat a room by the pool but it was not made up and was a mess. So theygave us a room in the back away from the pool up 2 flights of stairs.There was scaffolding and work materials everywhere including on thestairs for I guess the next day which was monday. The undergroundparking was dirty with concrete pieces where they were refurbishing. Theroom they gave us was one of the remodeled ones as it was new, but noamenities at all. No coffee pot, no fridge, no hair dryer, etc. lookedunfinished. And last but not least, the jacuzzi was green and the poolwas dirty and no one was in it or by it. The proprietor did refund ourmoney to our credit card and we have not received that confirmation asyet, but feel okay that it will come through. I am disappointed withbooking.com as I use this site often.

Review 52：Close to beach, close to Camp Pendleton (visiting son). Don't mind old, or small. Wasn't looking for fancy, but something clean and cheap to sleep and shower.

No ice bucket, no internet, no cups in room, no pictures on walls, no carpet and the dust outside from construction was all over the wood floor. Walking on dirt all night not fun. Ants came in room with in an hour I have video! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Review 59：It was simply a creepy place from the lobby to the room itself. The lobby was an empty stinky box with a window behind which was the manager or front desk attendant. When asked why was he barricaded like that he blamed the previous owners. Parking was such a pain. There was construction going on all around outside leading to the room and there were electric wires lying around with no warnings. I walked over and under all these construction mess with my three little children. Simply not safe. The price was way overpriced. The room which was called a newer room was very noise from the shower that was going on in the next room over. We could hear pretty much everything that was going on outside. There was not a single mirror in the room. I would never go back to this place.

Review 114：Property needs repair. I was upset at the constant drug and prostitution traffic in and out of the property. The guests upstairs from us stayed up for two says and horribly loud. Not a good choice. The last time I had stayed there last year I has a great experience. Never again will I stay there.
