Reviews for Sunny A Hotel

Review 1:Rooms towards the front are significantly worse than those towards the back. Rooms are smaller, showers do not have shower curtains or any ventilation, room was damp and in our case the AC did not work either. The ants and full grown mushrooms did not mind though. Our second room of the same price towards the back did not have any of the mentioned issues.

Review 2:Good price, friendly staff

Review 3:Moisture in the room but it's common in Asia and hard to avoid.

Review 4:Staff was very nice, always offering free coffee and te. Rooms were cleaned daily. Good value.

Review 5:Great Staff. They are very helpful and take their time to explain everything, always with a smile. They made all our arrangements for the continuation of our trip: bus, motobike, etc.. The family restaurant right next to them is the best food I've ever had.

Review 6:We were in the 5th floor (no elevator)

Review 7:Staff is really great. Great welcome! They even invited us to a tea. Room is cozy, comfortable bed. Nice area, close to the center (around 15 minutes walking to the citadel) They helped us to book the bus to Hoi An.

Review 8:Nothing.

Review 9:Wonderful smiley helpful staff. Great location and quiet away from main road. Superb view from balcony roof terrace. Cups of tea and coffee offers.

Review 10:Really friendly, helpful staff. They told us about a restaurant nearby with amazing food- Hahn restaurant. Also helped with booking a tour. Always greeted us whenever we passed the desk!

Review 11:Probably the nicest hotel stay in Vietnam in terms of value for money - the staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious and filling (great coffee), the hotel was clean and the room was spacious - with both a fan and air conditioning. The hotel is also in a really good location on a quiet street.

Review 12:Nothing for us - maybe if you are not in shape and room is in 5th floor there is no elevator but for us was not a problem at all.

Review 13:Staff really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast (additional for 2 usd but worth it). Great location. Great value for money including additional services (e.g. moto rental, laundry) for a fair price.

Review 14:We are providing a feedback, not a dislike. We suggest that booking.com inform their users when certain establishment charges credit card transaction fees for payment.

Review 15:The location, the service, the food recommendation, the room. We were upgraded to Sunny B. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed both days' food recommendation.

Review 16:The staff was very friendly. They booked trips for me at a very reasonable price, informed me about savings if i would buy a combination ticket for the tempels and citadel and made me feel welcome by offering drinks and being nice. The room was clean and spacious.

Review 17:The shower was really powerful and warm but it was over the bath and wasn't very high up. This is if I had to be really picky though!

Review 18:The staff who were incredibly helpful

Review 19:Nothing

Review 20:Lovely little hotel, located in the centre of hue. Staff were amazing, always friendly and smiling. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. Free tea and coffee throughout the day. For the price you really can't go wrong!!

Review 21:Our room was excellent: spacious, comfortable, clean, and had a balcony! Staff are so helpful (took me on their own motorbike to the pharmacy and to get gas when my bike ran out unexpectedly), and there is always someone at the desk who speaks English Located down a quiet alley with lots of cheap, delicious options for food (both Vietnamese and Western)

Review 22:None whatsoever

Review 23:This hotel is clean, plenty of hot water, super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is adjacent to several good restaurants. My favorite was Pallettts. It is also walking distance to the Imperial Palace, the central market, and the river with some comfortable places to sit, sip coffee, and watch the sights. This hotel is priced right. A bargin. Breakfast is your choice of eggs prepared in different ways.

Review 24:Everything was great and we would come back for the second time.

Review 25:The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they book you tickets, take care about the laundry, always gave us a warm greeting, when we saw each other. The breakfast was great, they have 4 different kind of set menus. The location of the hotel is also perfect, easy to find, everything is close, what you need. The room was clean, nicely furnished, with wifi, tv, bathroom, fridge, air conditioner.

Review 26:Breakfast was a little disappointing especially as it wasn't included in the room rate. Also the bathroom was a wet room which wasn't ideal.

Review 27:The staff were very friendly. The room was a good size and the bed was comfy.

Review 28:The staff couldn't be more helpful. They went out of their way to be accommodating and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and in a great location. I would recommend this hotel as great value for money.

Review 29:Personal was very friendly and decent at the same time. They made us feel comfortable as much as possible. Clean rooms at an outstanding rate. Totaly recommended.

Review 30:We stay there for one night and the experience was great! The hotel staff is great, helping us with whatever we needed. We also rented a motorbike at the hotel without any problem! Very good hotel.

Review 31:The bathtub was unstable so it felt like a fun rollercoaster ride everytime you took a shower :-) Besides this detail, everything else was fantastic.

Review 32:Location. Super friendly happy staff. Near so many good restaurants. Strong wifi inside the room. Nice view.

Review 33:We had such a lovely time here! We only stayed one night and wished we had time to stay longer. The hotel staff helped us book our flights back to Ho Chi Minh. I had been looking for days and everything I found was so expensive and they found us a very cheap flight and booked it all for us! They offered us free drinks/tea/coffee every time we came downstairs. The room was clean and had good air con. Location was brilliant, the hotel is down a small street off the main road so just be sure you don't miss it. Excellent value for money also!

Review 34:The location of that hotel was excellent. We were impressed on the attitude of the staff there a lot. So flexible they were that they provided us early check-in and late check-out without paying any surcharge. During our stay, they served us complimentary filter coffee, tea and lemonade which was far beyond our expectations. Highly recommended!!!

Review 35:Ants on bed. Told reception who came straight away to change the bed sheets but still found 1 or 2 which made it difficult to sleep after that.

Review 36:Was very pleased with hotel and all facilities prior to finding little ants all over the bed. Lovely hotel with great shower, air con, comfy beds and friendly staff.

Review 37:No bad experience.

Review 38:The staffs are very courteous, friendly and helpful, particularly the Manageres Ms. Ngoan. Hotel is save, clean, comfortable. Tea is ever ready. Coffee is free upon request at any time.

Review 39:Nothing we were happy with everything.

Review 40:Very helpfull staff. They helped us with everything needed. Also with aranging a half day trip - because we were short of time. Good location. Clean and nice room. Great pancakes for breakfast :). Good price = good value for money. We would stay again.

Review 41:Our only complaint would be that it could be a little noisy at times. Particularly early in the morning, other guests in the hotel seemed unaware others may still have been sleeping at 6am, and conducted noisy conversations outside our door. Generally, however we didn't have too much of a problem with it.

Review 42:For the price, the hotel is fantastic. The staff were always very friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself is very close to everywhere you could want to visit in Hue. Although the hotel doesn't have breakfast included in its packages, there are some excellent breakfast places nearby (try the shakshuka a couple of doors down!) and they were very helpful when booking trips or activities. Overall, we had a great stay.

Review 43:There was some problem at checking in ( the room was ready , but the key was not available). Since we had to wait longer than expected, just left for a long walk and when back, it was all solved and the lady at the reception apologized heavily.

Review 44:The staff are genuinely nice, 5 stars for the hospitality. Clean, comfortable, nice balcony attached to the room, facing to the little alley.

Review 45:Such a great place! Really lovely staff and the room was amazing. Helped us out with tours to phong nha and bus tickets. Location is perfect and very central. Would definitely go back!

Review 46:Would be hard to find but found it easily due to tips on other's reviews. It is in an alley next to Nina Cafe. Locals around on the main street will point you in the right direction.

Review 47:The staff were extremely flexible with helping us organise our transit from Hue to Hoi An. We reserved a scooter and they arranged the transfer of our luggage to our next hotel but were able to cancel last minute and book the bus for us due to torrential rain. Cheap bike hire.

Review 48:The location down an alley was a little off-putting at first, and the lobby area is not great.

Review 49:The people who run the hotel are super nice and helpful. The room was very clean, if a bit spare.

Review 50:The room was lovely and comfortable, really really nice shower! Staff were very helpful and non pushy with tours. They told us what they offered and didn't mention it again. They upgraded our room for free and let us check in 3 hours early. All in all fantastic hotel and great value! I would honestly charge more!

Review 51:it is a bit difficult to find, the address should say it is in a small alley, not in the main street. There were little ants in the basin of the bathroom, didn't really bother us at all anyway.

Review 52:Nice and friendly stuff, very atentive and kind, always smiling and asking if we needed anything. Room was nice, with AC and nice bathroom.

Review 53:Ants everywhere, crawling over bed. Coming out of holes in wa and furniture. Men are rude choosing to play computer games over being actually on reception as well as sleeping together on matress they'd dragged in front of desk. Uncomfortable waking them up when something is needed.

Review 54:Location great, women staff are friendly, good breakfast, helpful

Review 55:The shower flooded the bathroom a bit

Review 56:Awesome location, hire bikes from the hotel and tour the city. Very quiet and central. Excellent value for money. Big room, great for a family of 4.

Review 57:It is located in a back ally so first time it is a little difficult to find. It is just beside NINA CAFE so find NINA CAFE :)

Review 58:Staffs are super kind and helpful. We were really welcomed. The hotel name sunny is describling their attitude I think.

Review 59:The hotel is central and very quiet in a little street. Stuff is so friendly and booked very good tickets vor us. We had a bright room with a balcony. We recommend the hotel.

Review 60:Everything was really good!

Review 61:Best place we've stayed in 2 weeks in Vietnam. The room was really good as the staff and all amenities! We definitely recommend Sunny A hotel!

Review 62:I would have preferred to pay a little more and have breakfast included rather than have had it calculated separately.

Review 63:The staff were friendly and attentive and the location was good. Great value for money.

Review 64:A bit hard to find in the first time because Google map was very confuse. But after first time it's not difficult to find.

Review 65:Staff been very helpful and very good advice for all of the place. I was very happy staying here. And if I come back to Hue I will definitely stay here again.

Review 66:Very helpful staff - helped with booking tickets & excursions, prompt communication via email. Facilities are great value for the price (cheapest accommodation ever). Lots of places to try Hue cuisine nearby.

Review 67:Breakfast was not included

Review 68:Nice and friendly staff Motorbike rental We could check in immediately although we arrived at 7:30 in the morning and the booking was not through at this time.

Review 69:In the room there was an always on fun. We tried to turn it off, cause we wanted to use only the air con but I twas impossible. Nothing to say about the breakfast because we didn't pay for it. About the dmz tour, we booked a private tour to the dmz tour asking for an English speakinf guide/driver. The receptionist said "OK don't worry" but the day after the driver was barely able to say "hallo". (Tips: do tho the group tour)

Review 70:It's really close to the center, only 15 min we from the imperial palace. The stuff is friendly, they helped us to organise our dmz tour and the train to Hanoi. Free welcome tea and coffee. The room was OK for the price we payed. Don't expect to much.

Review 71:The hotel is in a small alley, not so easy to find, but not impossible!

Review 72:Very kind and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice terrace.

Review 73:It was a little bit difficult to find when we arrived because the hotel full name is "Sunny Hotel - Binh Duong 2". There are 2 or 3 hotel named Sunny Hotel in the same street. 3% addtional charge will applied if you want to pay by credit card. So please prepare your cash. No complimentary water was provided.

Review 74:The staffs are very friendly. You can book tour fro the receptionist. I was offerred free coffee while waiting for checking out. The location is great. The room is clean. This is a quite new hotel. Next to the hotel you can find a little pub where you can have a drink at night.

Review 75:Loved it all!

Review 76:Upon arrival Sarah gave us a welcome drink, gave us a map of Hanoi and walked us through all the best places to see and to eat. She let us know that she could help us book any tours or tickets we might need for the trip but she wasn't pushy and we didn't feel pressured to buy anything. We didn't have internet for a couple days before we arrived in Hanoi otherwise we would have seen Sarah's email that she had also set up a taxi transfer for us at the airport. We had mentioned that we were on our honeymoon and she upgraded us to a beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the streets below. The included buffet breakfast is simple and nice. The location is within walking distance of most attractions and being in the heart of the Old City, you get a first hand experience of the craziness of Hanoi. It felt like a hotel, at a hostel price.

Review 77:Wifi is not so good . Night time over 00:01am. I could not use wifi any longer.

Review 78:1.Thanks for picked me up from train station by motobike. 2. Thanks for kindness manager ms. Ngoan. God bless you 3.best price . Best kindness. Incase of comparation between sunny hotel & another hotel. Sunny hotel is really good!! ~^^ Thanks again for every staffs & ms.ngoan whos has remember my name. You're Charming lady~^^

Review 79:Fast Wifi, cold AC, SOFT bed!!! Nice staff, let us keep our bags in the lobby during the day because we were taking a late train to Hanoi in the evening. Good location beside tasty local food. Cheap price

Review 80:Only to say, take the rooms 3rd floor and above as they are brighter, and avbiid 1st floor in general. Ours was 3rd floor and awesome.

Review 81:The staff was very helpful, we arrived early and they let us use a spare room for free to shower and change until ours was ready. We left the city for a couple of days before getting our night train back to Hanoi and they agreed to keep our big bags and let us shower again before the train. All in all very agreeable and helpful people. The room was bright and clean and beds were top notch.

Review 82:Te breakfast is a little expensive for why you get. You can get better breakfast in a more cosy place (try Nina's just around the corner)

Review 83:Nice and quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the royal palace. Helpful staff. There was a cockroach in the room and the staff came immediately and removed it within seconds.

Review 84:-DMZ Tour was Not so Special, too long, but they seem to be all the same in hue - window could not be closed properly - no motorbike insurance

Review 85:- super nice and friendly stuff - helped us with everything! - super cheap! - clean - gratis lemon juice and coffee - we had a flue and they helped us with the pharmacie and hospital - perfect location - could rent a scooter to hoi an. Luggage was carried by them: awesome!!

Review 86:The staff was nice and helpfull, the room was clean, good wifi, good ac, comfterable bed. The offered us free coffee all the time. I had a very good time in the hotel.

Review 87:it was not a problem for us but there is no elevator and pillows were a little bit hard

Review 88:Almost perfect: good location; in the centre but quiet, super friendly staff, comfy bed, clean, good wifi, good breakfast and all for a good price

Review 89:There were ants and other bugs in the room, but it is a hot beach town, and they really only congregated around food and the bathroom. We learned quickly not to have food in the room and the bugs were kept to a minimum.

Review 90:The staff was very accommodating, and we had comfortable beds at an extremely reasonable price.

Review 91:Thw room we got had the windows out to corridor and it was a bit noisy

Review 92:Very friendly staff, always trying to help, free coffee and tea we could even take a shower after we checked out

Review 93:No breakfast offered, although there are good, cheap eateries nearby.

Review 94:Excellent value for money. Comfortable and clean double rooms. We were able to arrange late check out and airport transfer for a small additional fee.

Review 95:Very poor breakfast. We ordered a club sandwich and that was a separate egg and a separate piece of 'old' ham. Not good.

Review 96:Very friendly staff. Price-quality good.

Review 97:They are a bit pushing when it comes to booking tours with them, but this is something you can manage easily or can book your tours outside the hotel as I did myself.

Review 98:Good value for money. The hotel is quite in the center of Hue and the staff are friendly and willing to help you. Also the breakfast is good.

Review 99:Only bread options for breakfast. It would be nice if there was also some rice or noodle dishes to choose from.

Review 100:Staff is really friendly and extremely helpfull. The service is very good. They helped us with bustickets to our next location and even booked a trip to halong bay from Hanoi for us. They stayed in touch after we left to make sure everything went well.

Review 101:It was a little bit hard to find, since it's up an alley. ( a very nice alley)

Review 102:This is a nice, no nonsense hotel, where the staff understands the needs of their guests perfectly.

Review 103:4th floor for person with food poisoning was hard and scary first floor toilet

Review 104:Very friendly staff, beautifull and spacefull room with balcony and stylish furniture, free drinks and help with trips

Review 105:The bed in our room was hard as a rock. And we are usually not picky.

Review 106:Very central in Hue. Walking distance to all the major sights. Very good value for money!

Review 107:Good location and really friendly staff. They organised a motorcycle tour from Hue to Hoi An for us at the last minute at very reasonable prices compared to what we had previously been quoted.

Review 108:Location is great, inside a lovely lane and close to the citadel. The staff was welcoming and helpful for us to explore around. The room was very confortable and spacious.

Review 109:We stayed in the standard room. It had a super comfy bed!! We had such a good night sleep. They offer bicycle and motor bike rental at the same price as the neighbourhood. Great location, though bicycles are recommended if you want to see Hué. We had a late check out and it was no problem to get a shower and fresh towels.

Review 110:We were about 5 or 6 floors up. Fine for us but if you had heavy packs or were unfit could be a problem.

Review 111:Lovely room and spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 112:Down a little alleyway next to Ganesh restaurant, it wasn't too easy to find but friendly locals helped us out.

Review 113:The staff are fantastic, very friendly and helped organise tours and transfers (cheaply) Clean room, nicely decorated. One of the best places we have stayed after backpacking across Asia for 4 months.

Review 114:We rent a motorbike for a night (from 7 pm) and they charged us 80.000 dong, while renting for the whole day costs 100.000 dong

Review 115:Big and clean room Clean toilet

Review 116:Not elevator, but it's like every building in Vietnam, so it's ok. Not enough toileretes and not hair dryer as on description.

Review 117:Like the location, the cheap breakfast, the amount of lights on the room, fan and aircon both in room, the shower pressure.

Review 118:Rooms are a bit dated and require maintenance. No safety deposit box in the room. Feels a bit unsafe.

Review 119:Everything is at your doorstep. There are many restaurants around, laundry facility, cafes, shops, etc. Good size room. Staff are very helpful!

Review 120:After arriving on a sleeper bus from Hanoi, early check in was not available. BUT they do offer a place to shower, drinks and snacks while you wait. Very good service.

Review 121:Extremely friendly, accommodating and professional staff. Good location on a side alley, although difficult to find at 1st (turn left down alley after Sunnyside Hotel). Very helpful and informative (not pushy) with local maps and tours. Nice rooms and amenities.

Review 122:Bed and pillow very hard, As they mostly are in Asia but this was my worst so far - woke up with back ache!

Review 123:Great location, staff very friendly and helped us book tours/ busses. Wifi was fast and there were some great local restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Clean towels / room cleaned each morning and we were able to check in early.

Review 124:The stuff is really nice and help alot. The hotel is clean .take room in lowe Floor if you dont like to climbe alot. We booked tour with guide an motor for 3 hours to see the main pagodas and the tumbes for 10 dollar. Worth your money

Review 125:Not to have more time to spend at this hotel, the best I've been during my stay in Vietnam.

Review 126:Staff are very helpful, advising you about good price tours around Hue. Rooms are very clean, all is new: AC, tv and world channels. Around the hotel, you could find several places to eat very good for a good price and little store-markets to buy water, cookies andplenty of things. Happy is the name of one of the staff, she speaks a very good English and is very kind and helpful. If I come back to Hue, I will come back to this hotel.

Review 127:The staff were the most helpful and friendly people ever! We ran into some trouble with theft on the street, and needed to make a police report. The staff went out out of their way, accompanied us to the police station and acted as our translators. They didn't need to do it, but their willingness to accommodate made our stay absolutely brilliant.

Review 128:My family stay here for two night and we're very enjoy it. Room was always clean, room was spacy and beautiful, the staff is very helpful and lovely. Would stay here one again. Thank you very much.
