Reviews for B&B Le Corumont

Review 1:No complaints, just notice there are some steps to get to the room.

Review 2:The owner is a very nice person. Very warm and helpful. He found my extra shoes in the room just after we checked out and ran to the car to bring them to me. Good breakfast in the room 2 minutes as you call by phone. And of course the view from the room is like in a dream.

Review 3:The location, cleanliness of the room but most of all the staff were fantastic. The host went out of his way to make our stay so memorable. Excellent place, will definitely be back.

Review 4:Hand held shower in bathtub was awkward to use. A wall fixing option would be helpful.

Review 5:Jean-Pierre is a wonderful host. Very helpful in advising where to shop, eat, visit etc., and nothing is too much trouble. He made our stay very special and most enjoyable. The property has wonderful views over La Roche.

Review 6:The B&B is small (only 4 rooms) but the room itself is spacious and spotless. The views from the balcony are breathtaking. The owner is very friendly and helpful

Review 7:Everything, comfortable, amazing view, awesome host. Breakfast is in room, right in front of the balcony with to most beautiful view of the town, ruined castle, and river. Perfect!

Review 8:Internet was weak in bedroom and sound proofing between bedrooms suboptimal

Review 9:The location looking over the town and hills behind. The host was very helpful and jolly

Review 10:Nothing.

Review 11:Our Host, Jean-Pierre couldn'do enough for us. Including letting us put our bike in his garage downstairs and recommending his favourite beer (Rochfort Dix).

Review 12:You should be able to understand the French language

Review 13:Le Corumont is beautifully located, overlooking the small village of La Roche en Ardenne. Our host Jean-Pierre did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible and took care of the smallest details. Including a very delicous breakfast!

Review 14:A minor point but breakfast is delivered to your room as there is no dining room or any other public areas

Review 15:Very helpful host - full of directions, recommendations and useful tips Breakfast Location and views from balcony Quiet but close to town centre

Review 16:Beds are a little low and room quite small.

Review 17:Nicely located on a hillside overlooking the town. Its a short walk into town, where there are lots of restaurants and bars, but up hill on the way back. Two flights of steps to building and rooms. It would not be suitable for anyone who has any difficulty walking. Owner extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 18:Missed bracket in the tub for the shower head Week-end was too short

Review 19:Perfect panorama view from private balcony. High quality breakfast personally prepared and served in garden. Energetic guidance for walks, bicycling and dining. Wide selection of brochures, books & maps for exploring Belgium Beers.

Review 20:Absolutely nothing, a perfect stay

Review 21:Beautiful view from balcony. Not far from centre of town. Lovely breakfast delivered to bedroom. The owner, Monsieur Vigneron, was the friendliest, most helpful host we have encountered. Cycle friendly.

Review 22:We had requested an early check-in, arrived at 1:00, but had to wait until 3:00. However, this turned out OK as we were directed to many places of interest and explored the village during our 2 hour wait.

Review 23:The manager, Jean Pierre, is incredible. He gave us a map, brochures, suggestions of restaurants & places to visit, directions & recommendations, though he speaks French and our French is limited. Have never seen a proprietor go to such lengths to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Excellent breakfast was served each morning as soon as requested, delivered to room with style & finesse!

Review 24:Very friendly and helpful owner, amazing location. Room is a bit outdated, but includes all the necessary things and has a great view on the town. Was nice to have a breakfast on the own terrace. In general, everything was good, there is nothing to complain :-)

Review 25:The breakfast is nice but maybe offer bigger variety like whole bread, soya products etc.

Review 26:Owner is amazing kind and helpful. Location, room, support and all is great!

Review 27:No soundproofing, we were lucky the first two nights, but the third we could not fall asleep because of the noise coming from the wall from neighbor guests. Bring earplugs just in case

Review 28:view is super, the owner is superb, breakfast is full and cutely done, however, it is the same every day which may be a problem if staying more than 3 nights. We recommend the hotel because it has charm and every room overlooks the valley, the castle and the river. It is situated right above the main street very close, but quiet - you do not hear restaurants and bustling crowds.

Review 29:1. The owner can't speak a word in English - be prepared:) (though he's always ready to help) 2. As this is a house, there is no elevator and you need to go upstairs with your luggage

Review 30:1. The location can never be better - the view is just marvelous 2. Our room Dakar was quite spacious and comfortable 3. The view from the balcony is unforgettable - the whole La Roche with the castle just in front of you 4. The breakfasts were really good and were served individually in the balcony 5. The owner is really friendly

Review 43:Fantastic place - superb view - extremely helpful - very nice room - excellent breakfast

Review 44:No hands-free shower

Review 45:Nice view Quiet place Friendly staff Breakfast

Review 46:The views from the balcony are awesome.. The owner is a really nice person..Even though he did not understand one word in English he always made us comfortable

Review 47:The owner speaks only French - no German, no English, no Dutch.

Review 48:The owner was very very very friendly and nice. The location is awesome:fantastic view and very good playground for our son was just below theb&B. Good and fast internet, breakfast in the room.

Review 49:La Roche is a lovely little town and made a great base for exploring the area. When we arrived at Le Corumont the very friendly owner gave us lots of information about places to eat nearby, walks in the local area and nearby attractions to visit. We stayed in the New Delhi room which had a great view of the castle opposite with the town and river below. The room had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The owner also happily provided us with glasses so that we could enjoy Belgian beers in our room or sitting out on our terrace. The breakfasts were served in the room or on the shared terrace and were delicious - you could choose to have a standard breakfast (per person: 2 rolls, 2 slices each of a selection of ham and cheese, a large pain au chocolat, pot of yoghurt, butter, jam, honey, chocolate spread, a hot drink and orange juice) or swap the rolls, cheese and ham for 1 or 2 additional pastries. Overall, we had a great stay at Le Corumont and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Review 50:Excellent host. Didn't speak English but we were able to communicate with a limited knowledge of French. very friendly and very helpful. Excellent position - short walk from town centre on quiet no through road. let us park motorbikes in his garage.

Review 52:Coming home

Review 53:This was a very comfortable ideally situated hotel with extremely helpful and friendly hoteliers. Superb continental breakfast and super views of town from balcony. Ideal area for walking in the ardenne forests and biker friendly

Review 54:The bed I had was a bit saggy. I think the Mattress needed replacing. I placed a blanket underneath the sheet and that helped.

Review 55:The view from the balcony was amazing. Sunny in morning and shady in pm.. perfect..in summer definitely worth having a room with a balcony. Great little refrigerator. The host was very obliging. .

Review 56:A bit of noice from neighbours.

Review 57:Great view over the city, centrally located, great terrace to enjoy breakfast. Clean rooms and shower. Very helpful host

Review 58:A bit tricky to find as the satnav loses its way at the last minute.Just park up and ask at the cafe on the corner.

Review 59:Friendly,helpful owner. Clean comfortable room. Superb view from balconywhere you can have the breakfast which is served in the room. Verypleasant town, good restaurants, some budget. Enjoyed our stay.

Review 60:The flip side to the view is that the hotel is up a narrow road which at the start looks like a footpath. Turning and reversing is not easy.

Review 61:The view from the bedroom and balcony was stunning, as good as anywhere in town. The breakfast was good. There is parking by the B&B.

Review 62:The room itself is quite basic, but clean.

Review 63:Very nice owner and most spectacular view possible in La Roche-en-Ardenne. Balcony is facing the city centre with the river Ourthe and the castle.

Review 64:A place that we d'like to keep secret for oneself! Warm welcome, very nice owners, beautiful view, very good breakfast served in the room , on the balcony.

Review 65:The room might be thought a little bit short on space for two people for longer stays, but we coped ok.

Review 66:Good view of river and town in Location just a short walk from centre. A very friendly & helpful owner who let us park our motorcycle in his lock up garage. Also very accessible for country walks into nearby hills

Review 67:We loved the view from our room and balcony and our host was amazing. He was extremely helpful, pointing us to the best places to visit in town and allowing us to park our bicycles in his garage. Every morning he brought us a lovely room service breakfast. We had a great time and thoroughly recommend this place.

Review 68:The bed was small for 2 persons. A bigger bed would have been great, but therefore you can also book a superior room.

Review 69:The owner of the B&B was very hospitable. The room was cleaned and we got new towels during three days of our stay. The breakfast was good and up to your own choice. A small fridge, a water cooker, tea, coffee and cookies are nice additions to have in the room. All rooms have a balcony. We felt really welcome in le corumont.

Review 70:At low outside temperatures the tiled floor of the room feels a bitcold. A rug might help.

Review 71:We had a very nicely decorated room (Dakar) with stunning view of thetown and the castle. There is parking next to the house, and we werealso offered a secured garage for motorbike parking. The owner was veryfriendly and attentive, and despite some language issues we managed tocommunicate easily. The breakfast was generous and tasty, and the roomhad also complimentary tea and coffee making facility. We will stay at Le Corumont again when we visit La Roche in the future, and we already recommended it to our friends.

Review 72:Stayed there for one night. Host only speaks french, but was really friendly. Our room was "New Delhi". Absolutely beautiful and charming. Stunning view from the balcony and comfy bed. Bathroom less charming but has everything you need. Everything clean and tidy. A nice trail starts right in front of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again and we have recommended it to our closest friends.

Review 73:Rooms are too small. No canteen for breakfast. No credit card isaccepted. Owner doesn't speak English or Netherlands , butfriendly though.

Review 74:Nice view.

Review 75:The owner / manager was amazing. We were very late in arriving, and a little bit lost!! He phoned us to find out where we were and then drove out to meet us and escort us in. Not only that but the rooms had the best views in town. Castle town and river all in the same shot. We were served breakfast in bed with this amazing view. Absolutely recommend this place. Could not fault it.

Review 76:Room very small (Hollywood). Squeaky bed .Floor very shabby.
