Reviews for Riverfront Inn

Review 1:Considering price (cheapest in town) it wasn't too bad. Sure the place is a little worn down and dingy but the beds were clean, no bugs, the shower worked nicely and staff was nice. Also it's right in town with many places to eat in walking distance. Cons- couldn't get much of a signal for the free wi-fi, breakfast was a big disappointment- cereal and a few Danishes that looked to be Little Debbie's and the pool was still closed.

Review 2:A few maintenance issues, shower heads for one could use improving. Mattress toppers would be great for places like this and are cheaper than a new mattress. Not sure why more don't use them.

Review 3:Inexpensive, good location motel. Rooms are clean but dated. A few improvements to detail would help but a good value if you need to stay on the cheap.

Review 4:only problem I had was the room was just dirty nasty they need new paint new curtains new carpet it was just and it had roaches

Review 5:the people were kind and respectful

Review 6:The bathroom was not very clean. The office/lobby area had a strange smell, made us not want to eat the breakfast. Rooms had coffee pot but you had to buy coffee for $1. Not impressed

Review 7:The bed was comfortable.

Review 8:the location is downtown and close to most of the visitor/historical attractions and the uniqueness of the architecture of Fort Smith; nice place for the money

Review 9:Well the furniture in the room was outdated and falling apart, The bath tub and tile needs to be replaced or deep cleaned The bed mattes was worn out and very uncomfortable. We had to get the key to the room replaced it would not open the door. The bathroom sink was slow draining. The carpet was coming a loose at the wall and a beer can was seeing on the ground our side our room when we checked in. The room smelled old.

Review 10:I liked the location and the price we paid. The front desk person was nice and curtious. The place was very quite also.

Review 11:We were close to a road that was marked 30 miles per hour, but often cars went by more quickly than that.

Review 12:The staff was very helpful and it was very quiet at night. We were close to shops and the downtown area.

Review 13:Nothing I would have asked for a refund off there was done plane else to stay.

Review 14:Nothing, the rooms were sub standard. bed was uncomfortable the location was scary.

Review 15:Free Wi-Fi that was not accessible. Advertised HBO and there wasn't any. There 3 days and housekeeping store by one for towels. Lack of choices for breakfast bar.

Review 16:Easy to find.

Review 17:Rooms were NOT clean. Make up on pillow case from previous guest. Toilet overflowed & I was offered a plunger, REALLY! Switched rooms at 1:00am because of the toilet. New room was not clean either, towels even smelled musty & live roach in the sink. AWFUL!

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:the first person at the checkin desk did not know how to run the credit card machine, we had to wait in our room for someone to call us to finish the check in. we'd been driving for several hours and didn't want to sit in our room....besides, it didn't smell good in there. the pool was not in working order. there were lots of hairs on the blanket, the one between the sheets and the bedspread. I could not bring myself to shower there. we ended up booking another place for our 2nd night in fort smith.

Review 20:the wifi had a good strong signal, so I was able to get online and find other accommodations.

Review 21:The pictures on the internet were nothing like the hotel. The pool was drained. I think we were the only people who stayed at the property.

Review 22:Cleanliness

Review 23:The staff people's accents were a little hard to understand. The building and rooms are quite run down, although clean. Could stand to be updated (furniture, paint, etc.).

Review 24:Great location on the main boulevard in Fort Smith. Looks like the swimming pool is being restored, which would be a nice amenity and would also elevate the appearance of the whole place.

Review 25:I requested extra towels as there were 3 of us only 2 sets. The pool was under construction in middle of summer. Room looked nothing like advertised.

Review 26:Location and price and clean.

Review 27:Rooms were outdated. Had a mildew smell to them. But you get what you pay for. And just to sleep for the night the room did its purpose.

Review 28:Location was good.

Review 29:In the morning there was macaroni and cheese all over our motorcycles. And it and other foods were smeared all over the other cars. Grease from mac and cheese stained out leather seats. When management was informed they said "oh we don't know who did it" did not offer apology or refund or reimbursement to ha dado vehicles washed.

Review 30:It was OK place for the price and it was only for night.

Review 31:Great location

Review 32:Roaches

Review 33:the smell, bugs, and noise level outside the room.

Review 34:the price per night

Review 35:Sign inside lobby said free breakfast 6:30am till 9:30am we went at 6:30 and the lobby was locked and dark.

Review 36:They had no record of this Booking. com reservation. Luckily they had rooms.

Review 37:Old, clean, cheap

Review 39:Close to restaurant and bars

Review 40:Room smelled bad had aints and a roach

Review 41:Slightly run down

Review 42:Location. Easy walk to experience town

Review 43:Carpets were horribly stained & sticky/filthy. Roachesin the bathroom & sink area.

Review 44:Bed was comfy.

Review 45:Bugs,Nuff said

Review 46:insects flying and running around in the room

Review 47:5 dollar deposit that we weren't informed onfr)

Review 48:The location it was right in the middle of downtown ft Smith so we could walk everywhere

Review 49:The whole room felt a little dated, especially the tub.

Review 50:Loved having the rocker/recliner. Perfect for rocking baby to sleep.

Review 51:Never had any breakfast or coffee for coffee pots in rooms no water in pool

Review 52:Bed was comfortable

Review 53:price, location, staff

Review 54:None

Review 55:Comfy place but a ghost town!

Review 56:Right in the middle of downtown. Not close to restaurants

Review 57:Location

Review 58:This is easily the filthiest hotel I have ever been in. It had that musty and old smell. Even the air from the AC smelled bad. Plus....no tv remote!

Review 59:Price

Review 60:Heater didn't work very good. A non smoking room reeked of smoke.

Review 61:It was cheap. The beds are comfortable.

Review 62:Cleanliness not to a very good standard. Location very noisy with road traffic.

Review 63:Lady at check in was pleasant.

Review 64:The heater and breakfast.

Review 65:The staff was wonderful; the office and housekeeping

Review 66:Nothing! It was ALL good!

Review 67:Staff bent over backward to accomodate our every need. The WIFI was excellent and Free.

Review 68:Room was just rundown

Review 69:Good location and price for the stay

Review 70:Refridgerator was not working, toilet was leaking. Poor quality shampoo, cheap towels (did not do the job well)

Review 71:hard to navigate the streets to get into the inn

Review 72:helpful clerk who knew the town

Review 73:Toilet was broke. No cold water. The outlets were loose, couldn't plug anything in.

Review 74:There was a refrigerator and microwave.

Review 75:Surrounding didnt seen security. People hanging out on steps all time of night

Review 76:Close to downtown

Review 77:Pretty Much Everything

Review 78:Not Much

Review 79:dirty

Review 80:location

Review 81:Pool closed limited parking no free breakfast check out time bath tub looked dirty but was supposed to be clean carpet felt wet

Review 82:The pool was NOT available. The wall around the pool was down. The pool was empty. The room was dirty. Black goo came out of the faucet when my husband was about to shower-the water then turned brown. Every car and motorcycle parked in front of the second floor balcony had macaroni and cheese thrown on it. My husband killed a water bug in our room not to mention ants. Breakfast was cold cereal, white bread, stale honey buns, orange juice, coffee. The coffee maker in the room had no coffee with it. THAT cost $1.00 if you wanted coffee before breakfast. I was so very disappointed.

Review 83:Not a whole lot

Review 84:It was horrible. The bathtub was old and dirty. The room was old.The breakfast consisted of bread that you could toast and jelly or a sweet roll.

Review 85:nothing

Review 86:the Free Breakfast was worth the price.

Review 87:Location and price were fine for my purposes. Older property in OK shape--nothing fancy, clean but a bit worn around the edges

Review 88:The location was near two main streets of traffic, so there was quite a bit of noise. The tub and sink were old and a bit cracked. The room and facilities just didn't quite match up to the pictures.

Review 89:The lady at the front desk was nice and friendly. The room had a microwave and fridge. It was clean enough. The price wasn't too bad.

Review 90:tub was awful, coffee pot never once washed out or emptied, a 1970 TV, lights on wall did not work, mattress was like a deep hole in middle of one of the beds, very uncomfortable. Noise was loud due to trucks. Would not stay at Days Inn again if they are like this one. Kitchen and Office across the parking from room, (not good in bad weather) I would rate this hotel very low low low end, not like the 4 stars it advertised. Not a happy camper.

Review 91:location was real close to convention center

Review 92:The motel is located several miles off of the Interstate, which is probably why I would not consider going there again.

Review 93:The lady at the desk was very kind and courteous

Review 94:This place was terrible. When we checked in, the woman spoke poorEnglish. We went to our room and found 2 dirty pillow cases on the bed.I took one of them back to office and a different woman was in theoffice. She was at least able to speak English. As we were getting readyto go back out, my significant other pointed out that there were whiskershavings on and around the lavatory. Later that night I had killed aroach but thought nothing of it because many motel guests bring theirroaches with them and leave without them. The worse part of that was inthe morning, we saw another one. The worst part of the stay though wasthe breakfast. I thought the milk tasted funny but my significant othersaid it tasted fine. When the customer after me said he thought the milktasted funny also, we checked the date. The expiration date was 23 daysago! We had reserved for 2 nights but left after 1 and found a differentmotel. Long story short, I expected my stay at a Days Inn to be muchbetter. I was very disappointed.

Review 95:The only plus I found was the location.

Review 96:Over-all kind of run down. The tub was in very bad shape and also the sink. The door was also in bad shape(front door). Roaches were found in room!

Review 97:Staff very friendly and eager to serve.

Review 98:Extremely antiquated, in serious need of a remodel, bed sank down about 6 inches, thought I was I a taco, sink had cracks in it and an un identifiable stain on carpet under it. There was mold around rid enclosure and no water pressure, not even enough to activate shower mechanism, was given key to another room and told to shower in there. Horrible experience!!! Rooms stunk, smelled like stale cigarettes and beer!!

Review 99:Carpet was dirty. Think it should be shampooed.

Review 100:I had 2 small poodles, facility was ideal for the dogs. Room was very nice, plenty of room and comfortable. Staff were very nice and acomidating. LOCATION IDEAL and much to see in Fort Smith

Review 101:SOMEWHAT RUN DOWN, but they are working on it. Carpet was bad in my room. The room next to mine had new carpet. I think they are working their way up the line.

Review 102:location & price

Review 103:My first night there I had no hot water and had to take a cold shower. After getting out of the shower the water wouldn't shut off. It continued to run the rest of my stay. I had to close the bathroom door and leave the tv on in order to drown out the noise coming from the running water. The electrical outlet in the bathroom sink area was worn out. I couldn't get anything to stay inside the plugs and the water pressure in the sink wasn't even enough to clean out my toothbrush.

Review 104:We nicknamed this place "The Dump". Here's why:1. it took almost 15 minutes to check in; 2. the desk clerk ran out to our car when we had found our room, said we couldn't have that room, took our keys, made us wait there while she returned to the front desk, rechecked us in to a different room, and brought new keys to our car; 3. the room decor, furnishings, and fixtures are old, worn, and marginally maintained; 4. some of the lights were out; 5. the room heater never got the room temp out of the 60's (it was ~30 outside that night); 6. the beds had minimal blankets, so we used our coats to get warm while sleeping; 7. the water pressure was very low and the hot water temperature was only lukewarm at its hottest; 8. the door was very hard to open and close; 9. the entire free breakfast at 8 am consisted of (no exaggeration) a single dried heel of a loaf of bread and two plastic cylinders of dry stale-looking cereal; 10. both rooms keys stopped working at the same time, and the clerk said it was because we didn't take care of them; 11. they overcharged us on our credit card, three (3) long-distance phone calls did not fix it, they acted completely disinterested, they did not call back as promised, and persisted the whole time in making multiple weak excuses. By contrast, our stay at a Days Inn in Springfield a week earlier was stellar, so we had hoped for better in Ft Smith. Our final conclusion: avoid The Dump at all cost. There are several other places in Ft Smith at similar prices that look much better.

Review 105:The only plus was their location in the historic district, which is areflection on the district and not the motel.

Review 106:Pool was closed. No later related to days inn. Should be re-evaluated to keep 2 star rating.

Review 107:Old but still serviceable. No bugs or other problems

Review 108:No Coffee in room.

Review 109:Just about every thing!

Review 110:location, rough crowd hangin around

Review 111:Looked like someone had slept in our bed. Outdated furniture with no hardware on drawers. Furniture was moved randomly around room. Gross.

Review 112:Location.

Review 113:very quit and close to down town many shops and restaurants

Review 114:bad location, wifi did not work, poor sound insulation; heard every car or truck all night

Review 115:friendly staff, welcoming attitude

Review 116:No top sheet on one bed. Stopper in sink broken and sink cracked. Couldn't get on the wifi.

Review 117:No iron or ironing board in the room, no soap or shampoo, terrible matress on the bed.

Review 118:Beds uncomfortable, tub/shower filthy, roaches in the beds, carpets nasty,

Review 119:Price was good, 4 adults, 2 king beds, $50

Review 120:location, old/run down not enough towels in bath

Review 121:beds were comfortable

Review 122:Very noisy.

Review 123:Cheap

Review 124:Our room was a little noisy as it was on the end near a street where trucks were passing.

Review 125:conveniently located with good restaurant nearby.

Review 126:Clean rooms, comfortable beds and very convenient to Hwy.

Review 127:Breakfast was very poor - no where close to what was expected at a DaysInn - we will not be staying there again

Review 128:Location!!
