Review 1：My only thought and wish is that the cleaning staff would give the Julien what it deserves,having my cleaning service business for over 30yrs I provide all my clients my best best,details detail detail,when I leave their home its like a picture out of a mag,thats what the Julien deserves,not orange in the bathrm grout lines,or old dust around bed frames or dresser ledges,these are very noticable upon entrying the room.Each room needs a deep clean and bedskirt wrinkle free appearance.

Review 2：Hotel Julien is a beautiful property as I've reviewed on my previous stays. It's the only Hotel I pick for my Dubuque getaway so far... I travel alot and stay at 8+properties with high ratings and I also review my stays its important to provide the very best and the Julien is up there.

Review 3：Staff didn't know their own policies. Restaurant was never open/serving when you want to eat. Management did not do enough to make things right.

He was quite rude about it.I was under the impression there would be two beds but only had one.For the price paid at least a continental breakfast would be nice. Stayed in cheaper hotels that were bigger rooms.

Review 14：There was only one chair in our room. We planned on ordering room service breakfast but after spending some time in our room the first evening knew we would be uncomfortable doing that without a second chair.

Review 16：The only thing we were surprised about was how the room description gave the impression that there was a whirlpool tub in the room. This was not clearly described in the hotel website that it was only a shower with a community or common whirlpool. The beds could have been a little softer for our preference.

Review 21：Easy to find - we came by car. Lots of good restaurants and shops in the immediate area. I like to walk and felt perfectly safe everywhere I walked. Shuttle service to the casino was convenient for my has and who sued it a couple times. Staff members were friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Review 25：The bed slanted to the center. No table to put coffee on by chair. One chair, two guests and in order to watch TV you had to lie in bed. Very cramped for two people and much too expensive. The history was interesting but not worth an extra $100 a night.$2.18 for a post card -most hotels give them free. I can see charging a non paying guest but not one paying $200 a night.

Review 27：I'm not real happy with the fact that the pool closed at 10 p.m. that seems a little early and I was told there would be a bathtub in my room and there was no battle that's something that I look for in a hotel.

Review 38：1. Room was dusty. Could write in the dust on the night stands. 2. Crawling bug on bathroom floor. 3. No shower mat. Needed to use a towel for a rather large puddle on floor due to faulty shower door. (no sweep on bottom of shower door). Since a towel was needed I wondered if I was toweling off with someone else floor mat???? YUCK.

Review 42：The bed was a little too soft for me, I have back problems so firmer is better. A complimentary breakfast could be included since the price of the room is a little more than average. Cleaning staff need to pay more attention to detail- glass ring marks were on the bedside stands and the robe hanging in the closet was dirty with what looked like dirty finger prints on the front lapel area and water stains or makeup or something.
