Review 1：I would have liked scrambled eggs or gluten free muffins at breakfast, and I would have liked a way to turn off the porch light outside my sliding glass door. The light was exceedingly bright, and it made it difficult to sleep.

Review 2：My bed was very comfortable, the TV was a good one, I had a refrigerator and a microwave in my room, and the continental breakfast offered some nice choices.

Review 3：Communication between front desk and housekeeping needs improvement. My room was entered on 4 different occasions to see if the room was occupied. The owner should learn how to talk to customers. Once a policy is stated he doesn't need to call the room to restate same more than a 2nd time or more.

Review 11：My boyfriend and I came down for the Bike the Coast ride and it was very conveniently located less than 2 miles from the pier (starting line). We rode to and from the event with no problems. I liked that they have a refrigerator and microwave. It made it easy to keep our water cold! The beds are comfortable and the TV and air conditioner are easy to use! Also, they have an amazing dine in continental breakfast!

Review 12：Room was very small, old and musty smelling, the tub was cracked, the ironing board was torn, and overall it could use some upgrades. The air conditioning vent blows directly over your head, nearly freezing our heads off so we had to sleep at the foot of the bed.

Review 13：The location is ideal for travel to/from the beach, Legoland, and the highway to surrounding areas. The free breakfast was good too.

Review 22：The room smelled horribly and we complained for three days straight. We stayed six nights and were never offered another room. Also, our daughter and her family also stayed at this location and they had the same problem with the smell and also complained. It was horrible and really was a combination of cigarette smoke and mold. [This was supposed to be a no-smoking property, although we witnessed many occasions of guests smoking on the premises.] If the rooms smelled clean, we would return to the property as we have family in the area. Now we will be looking for an alternate location. At checkout, we again reiterated our concerns and were basically told that the manager was unavailable. Totally unsatisfactory. Both of our families travel quite a bit and this was most unusual in that no accomadation was offered.

Review 31：The Owner. I was driving a wide and long flatbed truck, so when I parked, I took up 3 spaces. The owner followed me as I parked and confronted me as soon as I parked and said I couldn't park like that because he was sold out. When I asked for a solution, he gave me attitude and made me park in the back corner of the lot even though my room was in the front. I checked out the next morning at 5am, and when I drove through the parking lot, there were 10-15 open spots! I have never had this issue at any other hotel!!! Will never stay here again and have let my coworkers and subcontractors know as well.

Review 39：No air in my room. Temperature was 88 degrees and took management over an hour to come to my room and fix, and 45 min to fix it. Temperature never got below 80 degrees in my room after fixing it. Hotel management was not professional or nice. Breakfast was not good. TV was not in color.

Review 40：The room needs new mattresses desparately. We woke to sore backs and stiffness from the worn springs in the mattress. We plan on returning to the area within the next few months, but would thing twice about returning to the hotel do to this essential fundamental item.

Review 41：Breakfast was a nice surprise. I was expecting the plain disapointing Danish & coffee layout. I was happily delighted with the waffles, eggs and many variety of items to choose from.

Review 42：We had been driving 8 or so hours and was ready to relax in our room (Male age 68, Male age 26 and the reception was odd to me; rather than pointing out any amenities the clerk concentrated on the $10 fee if we lost key and said "no parties". I couldn't believe what I heard and asked him to repeat it; and he did.

Review 43：Location is good; I tried to stay at a Comfort Inn that I previously stayed at in Oceanside but they were sold out. The clerk at our check out was much more friendly and receptive but we were on our way out.

Review 44：Clean, comfortable, well-equipped room. Friendly staff and very quiet considering the location next to a busy freeway. We didn't use the in-room fridge/microwave, but it's a nice addition.

Review 45：Not the hotel's fault but there were teenaged guests who decided to leave their trash at our door. Called front desk and it was cleaned up immediately.

Review 47：The first room we were assigned smelled like dog. Evidence of a pet being in there. We were told we had ge upgraded do we asked to be moved. We were moved to a room that had not yet been cleaned & maids told us we would have to wait 40 mins. When I asked for another room, The manager was overly sensitive and told us we didn't have to stay at the hotel if we didn't want to. In the end, we were given 10% off our room for our troubles. We were grateful for that!

Review 49：Noisy - you could hear everything through the single pane glass slider. Dirty - I don't think the carpets have been shampooed in a very long time. If you walked around the carpets barefoot and then walked into the bathroom on a white towel, you left dirt on the towel. Overall, the place could use a complete top to bottom facelift.

Review 51：I would like the breakfast to be there till at least 10:00. After long trips and full days with 2 or more people in a room, it is hard to get everyone ready to go eat. If you could bring coffee and a roll to the room it would help. The tiny pots in the room are not good enough. Should have 2 waste cans and plastic cups in bathroom. Toilets too low. Need some Ada compliant rooms. Also hand held showers would be a plus.

The toilet seat was broken, the door lock broke and we had to wait twenty minutes to re enter our room on third night. the manager told me that the price from booking.com was different I would have to take it up with them. they put a hold on the money for your stay for th first night plus your whole stay amount for some reason. some guy was scoping the place late at night and i had to call the cops. 2nd room AC was broken. Bed hurt my back.

Review 64：The Maid staff was pleasant and they did accommodate our 2 rooms next to each other. Breakfast was ok but you have to eat it in their dining area. which to me is a little weird.

Review 89：Requested a room with one king then revised the request to a two bed room online prior to arrival. When we arrived we were given one King. Agent said he did not have any two bed rooms. I had to prove I asked for two beds in advance by showing front desk clerk the revised confirmation on my phone. Suddenly he had a two bed room available?? Got bit by a bed bug or spider of some kind. It was a warm Saturday afternoon and the pool had lots of bugs and leaves and needed skimming. I had to do myself so my grand child could go swimming.

Review 116：The complimentary breakfast had to stay in the breakfast room only, no food could be taken back to your room what so ever, so if your kids slept late you couldn't bring them breakfast. Finding a table that fit our family of 5 was hard when the room was crowded and they stopped severing at 9am which seemed early to us. Our room was a bit noisy as it was by the ice machine and maid's laundry room and also near where the garbage truck picked up. Also because we booked at booking.com and had a discounted rate we were treated like 2nd rate guests, the manager we checked in with almost seemed annoyed that we had used booking.com. Overall it worked for our budget but we didn't enjoy being treated differently based on where we made our reservations.

Review 123：This is our 4th year at this hotel, it is the perfect place to stay when we take our grandchildren to the beach each summer. We get 2 room the value is just right for our budget. Everyone get something to eat before heading to the beach. The kids love the pool, the staff is always pleasant.

Review 125：my mom and I traveled to Oceanside for a wedding and we were looking for something affordable but still nice, this was so perfect we usually go to Oceanside every year and rent a beach house, but this was a quick weekend trip. we know the area very well this is super convenient right off the freeway but only a few blocks away from the beach I think this is a far nicer area than hotel circle because it is kind of hidden as we passed by twice and we know the area. the continental breakfast was an added bonus not 5 star dining butt just what you need in the morning, eggs, waffles, cereal, toast and coffee plus more. pool area is small but very nice. I would definitely recommend this property to family's staying and hitting Lego Land or the beach I was pleasantly surprised!
