Review 1：There was no coffee, every time the people on the floor above me walked, I woke up, the floor creaked and sounded like someone was in my room.

Review 3：Night shift couldn't tell me if I could get a late check out, I even requested one when I booked the room. They you said "you will have to check in the morning". I paid $155 for the room. We had spent the night then took the kids down to swim, only to find out the humidifier was broken and the pool and hot tub where cold. I ask for a partial refund and was told "we can't do that". We where without power for 5 days over Christmas due to the windstorm. My family needed a break, we drove 3 1/2 to spend a night at the beach and let the kids swim in the pool. I have stay at this hotel before but, probably won't again after this!!!!!

Review 17：We were a bachelor/bachelorette party group staying, given the situation, we might not have been the quietest guest in the building, however the staff we so INCREDIBLY patient and kind with our group! It was very much appreciated! Also, the room that you get for the price you pay is well worth it. Beautiful rooms and very clean/well kept. I would absolutely return and recommend D Sands to anybody looking for a great place to stay in beautiful Lincoln City.
Review 18：The Bed in bedroom was not that comfortable. It had davits of worn spots where people had laid. I stayed there about three years ago and the bed in that room was amazing. That experience is what brought me back. Disappointed in bed this time.

The toilet paper was not replaced when room were cleaned. Both room 307 and 311 were outof toilet paper on second day. My daughter in law called office and asked for toilet paper, and asked if someone could bring it to the room and was told no. She had to go and get it. I myself went to the office on second day and asked for toilet paper and paper towels, the desk lady asked if I really need the paper towels, I said yes. She gave me 1 roll paper towels, and one roll toilet paper, I asked for two. She made a noise like I didn't really need it. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend the D'Sands at the point.

Review 58：The only thing that comes to mind is the parking. There doesn't seem to be enough if the room is towards capacity and was told at check-in that it is first come, first serve, which reinforced that belief. The covered parking is very tight, and with cars parked outside the covered parking makes it a forward-backward-forward backward parking job at best. I was in a larger SUV and tried to park under cover, with a spotter, and was unable to navigate the tight fit.

I haven't stayed here for probably more than 20 years and was a little apprehensive as I remember it being a bit run down and in need of a facelift...at the very least. I was pleased to be informed at check-in that it had been updated and even more pleased when we got to the room. I will definitely stay there again. It was right on the beach with a balcony to use.

Review 68：The spa was not working the weekend we were there but fixed by the time we left but we did not get to enjoy, main reason we picked this location since it is winter and a hot tub would be relaxing. The shower head in the room sprayed water all over. The front burner on stove did not work. These things we reported so am sure they will get repaired. It is an older motel but they do seem to keep it usually in good repair.
Review 69：Loved the spaciousness of the family suite. Loved being right on the ocean. Kitchen was stocked with essentials for having meals/snacks.
Review 70：The Kitchen! This is the first room that we have stayed in that there was no dishwasher. There were few cooking utensils. The pots where Teflon coated and the Teflon came off while we where cooking. Room was cold most of the time. Thermostats are right above the heater outlet. Heater shuts off before the room gets up to temperature. Everyday had to readjust the temperature because the thermostat had reset itself.

Review 74：paper-thin walls. Could hear the water running-whether from toilet flushing or shower. Could hear footsteps from occupants above our room. From the bedroom, could hear guests walking to their rooms while talking. Guests consistently slammed their room doors; the last time was at 2:30 am on our last night. Were signs posted that if we didn't want our sheets replaced to leave the notice on the bed and they wouldn't; we left the sign and they had been replaced. Sign in bathroom about hanging up the towels and you wouldn't get clean ones; our towels were replaced. While we appreciated getting clean linens, we were trying to follow their request which wasn't followed. We will think twice about staying at this motel in the future.

We keep coming back for personal reasons, but if it depended on the staff, we wouldn't come back. The woman who works at the front desk is the rudest. Maybe she would be happier somewhere else.

Review 90：One of the reasons we chose this property was because of the advertised free wifi. However, we were never able to connect. We were told they had a problem but it was being fixed. The young lady at the front desk said she would come reset the router for us, but she never did. We were told that two times. When we checked out I mentioned the disappointing wifi. I was told it was "a free bonus so it wasn't guaranteed." If that is the case, it should be listed as such on the website. Overall, that's a pretty minor complaint!

Review 95：The wifi didn't work for most of our stay. I was teaching a class online, and had purposefully booked a hotel w/wifi so I could get work done on our trip. I had to go to Starbucks. When I asked the front desk about it, I was told that I shouldn't expect consistent wifi when they offer it for free. If they can't be consistent, they shouldn't advertise it as an amenity.

Review 99：We hope that someday an elevator is installed, but I did find that I was in better shape than I thought, climbing the two flights to our room! When we were here around 20 years ago, I remembered the accommodations being two rooms in addition to the great kitchen and Murphy bed (in the living room.) because we had our daughter, her husband & their 2-year old with us, as well as our 2 other grown children, it was not what we expected for sleeping arrangements, but we made do. We made some wonderful memories at the DSands!
