Review 2：Old fashioned style motel, ideal on a road trip. Well maintained and our room was very clean. The proprietor's Son welcomed us and was most helpful, with advice on eating out, and he switched all the waterfall on at the pool. Nothing was too much trouble, and this on the day where earlier a tornado had touched down just over the border in Mexico, causing death and destruction, and staff including the proprietor had gone to Ciudad Acuna to try to help. First class!

Review 3：Would have liked to have had small bottle of hand/body lotion provided, but the lack of this product did not affect my evaluation.

Review 5：The family was very helpful and friendly. They were aware of different dining options and could help with other questions about things I needed in the town. They were open and fundamentally service oriented. I had a strong sense that they would somewhat they could to make me like my stay.

The staff were friendly (we misplaced our key twice and they were extremely gracious about it), the room was comfortable, clean, well appointed and very nice. And don't get me started on their pet friendliness! WOW!!! We were traveling with multiple dogs and they were very accommodating. I would gladly stay there again and will tell anyone going to Del Rio to book at Whispering Palms.

Review 12：Nice, clean room. Completely refurbished. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant next door. Excellent parking space for motorbikes in the courtyard (and plenty of security camera's). No noise at all; very quiete.

Review 13：Area and part of town looks discouraging. If you are looking for scenery or a view this is not the place for you. All rooms face inward into a concrete parking lot but this is what affords the security of the place. So its a trade off I am willing to accept.

Review 14：The staff seemed to be all family and were very friendly and helpful. They truly seemed courteous and pleasant, not some corporate forced facade. There is a good restaurant less than 200' from the front entrance of the hotel. The rooms are recently redecorated and comfortable. The motel is secure and monitored closely. To top it all off: Finally a hotel/motel that boast "High Speed Internet" and actually knows what the term means!! If you are expecting 25-50 Mbps, you wont get those speeds but I was consistently getting 8-9 Mbps and if you have stayed in many hotel/motels you know what a vast improvement that is. All this at a phenomenal price. If and when I return to the area, this is where I will stay.

Review 43：As soon as you enter the red eclectic lobby, you know you're someplace special! We had to look outside again to make sure we weren't on South Congress Street in Austin! This is Del Rio??? The friendly family who purchased and re-did this old motel has outdone themselves, with a value for the money that is bar none. Fresh new rooms, new furniture, comfortable beds with an excellent restaurant (Manuel's) next door. Will stay here every time we are in Del Rio!
