Review 1：..This hotel is very old, and the rooms are rather small. You get what you pay for..it served our purpose well, considering the fact that it is off season..

Review 5：I felt unsafe because the blinds were missing slats, the first didn't have a padlock that worked, and the second room had a door that didn't close all the way. Neither had a safety chain on the door. The bathroom had mildew stains and no washcloths were provided.

Review 7：There was no curtains. Very hard to sleep with the bright lights shining through the blinds. The beds were not comfortable they were sagging in the middle and you could feel the springs. Had to ask for wash cloths. There were no hangers to hang clothes. The furniture, rug and fixtures needs updating as well as the tv.

Funny smell in room, sink had 2 different nobs for hot and cold. Shower is small and falling apart, hot water burst, very unsafe. SHOWER WAS SMALL AND FALLING APART I am not sure how they are not in violation of any codes. The only pleasant staff were the folks cleaning the rooms. The manager and I guess his wife were pleasant when checking in and taking your money, after that not so much. OCEAN VIEW IS A SLIVER OF OCEAN ABOVE ROOFTOP ACROSS THE STREET Balcony view was a view of the swimming pool. The bad reviews listed are accurate but the scoring method is off. Pictures on the internet are not a true depiction of the facility. Must have been taken years ago. Very run down.

Review 23：This hotel isn't suitable for people to stay in. The railing was zip tied, very lose stairs I was scared to walk on them, mold on the AC unit, no hot water in our room, bed didn't look clean, door on bathroom still had water damage.
Review 24：Surfside motel is one of the nicer motels in seaside. Located right next to the glenndel which is repulsive. Surfside is a 10 second walk to the beach. The pool could use a little TLC. I would stay there again.

The airconditioner started smoking and caused the smoke detector to go off. Thecable didn't work and most of the channels were so fuzzy youcouldn't watch. The sink was falling off the wall. The tiles in thebathroom were cracked/missing. The shower head was broken. Theinternet didn't work. There were no curtains on the windows so wewere woken up with sunrise every morning. The staff was extremely rudeand refused to help resolve any issues. Just an overall horribleexperience.

The pool is Okay at best, the tilewalls are falling apart and the floor isn't much better. The stepsto the rooms are shaky and teeter. The rooms were a disaster, went thru4 rooms before find something that moderately resembled the picturesonline, they were also dirty and poorly kept, I had to buy my ownlinens! The beds were that of a frat house covered in used Disney resortcomforters. Way over priced for what you get! Hands down the worst placeI have ever stayed! Party Hotel for young unsupervised children at best.

Review 36：The room was so gross, the ceiling was moldy and falling down, the carpet was so disgusting and smelled so bad that we wouldn't walk on it with bare feet. The bathroom was moldy smelling, we didn't ahower because we were afraid to get a fungus. Luckily it was only one night. We slept in our clothes and put a tee shirt over the pillow. There was a pool, but it looked so falling apart we were not interested.

The noise was unbearable, they were leaning against our door and window screaming and carrying on! This went on till 4am I called the office but no one was in. Review 49：The room was dirty. Sink separated by large crack. No locks on doors. Nothing in the cylinder for the dead bolt lock. Even the pull chain lock did not have a pull chain. Some one could push the door open if they wanted to. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay in room 219. Did not feel secure at all.

Review 53：The motel quality itself was horrible. The bed was broken, the blinds were broken, there were no curtains so the street lights at night kept the room bright and then in the morning I was awake by 530 because the sun had the room bright. Not to mention both nights a different group of people were partying. The first night they kept their music so loud until 2 am along with there estimated 3 and 5 year olds up with them! The second night after moving it was a little better but our room was worse. The metal from the broken box spring was hanging out, I've never seen anything like that unless on the curb for trash!

Review 58：Me and a few friends stayed for the weekend and had a blast. If you have a small family, pick a more expensive hotel bc this motel is for partying. Expect it to be loud with people having fun. The room is meant for a few hours of sleep and off u go to the beach boardwalk and clubs. U get what u pay for. The kitchenette is worthless but we knew that from reading reviews. The bathrooms were small, thank god im not fat or i may not have been able to get to the toilet. We will be back again.

They didn't clean under the beds the whole bathroom was dirty. The plug for the ac was a three prong head with ground wire and they used an extension cord without the ground. There were wires sticking out of the electric heating.

Stove was ancient, half of a burner would work..sent off smoke alarms..end of cooking.. Little fridge froze everything. NOT for the faint of heart or romantic couples. Location was right there, Arrests and cops right in front of us.. Kids loved it !

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were willing to change our room when our neighbours became a little too rowdy at 2 am, and quickly changed the shower head when we stated there was little pressure.

Review 99：Rooms need to be updated. They are clean but just worn out. There was a hole in our bathroom ceiling. Vanity was falling off the wall. No curtains on the window to keep out sun the morning ( just blinds). Also, we stayed on the 3rd floor which had several loose steps which can be dangerous if someone doesn't notice.

Review 106：The motel was decent. I stayed in a room with two double beds and although it was a bit small, it did the trick. There was a TV, shower, air conditioner, and wifi.. Really couldn't ask for more. The pool was actually the nicest around. Had a lot of seating if you wanted to sit poolside and relax. The location was superb, literally one block away from the boardwalk and beach which was awesome. The hotel gives two free beach passes a room which is great because it's 6 dollars a person a day for the beach. One of my friends unfortunately lost one game of the beach passes and they said it was a 50 dollar fine so be careful not to lose the pass!!! This hotel is mostly directed towards young teens/adults but there were some families there too. Nights are loud and a lot of partying occurs so if you can't handle that, don't stay here!! Seaside Heights in itself isn't the most "ideal" location so you practically are getting what you pay for. Overall, I had a good experience at the Surfside motel.The

Review 108：This is a cheap motel for a reason people! We stayed on a Monday night (pretty quiet) and hit the pool early to avoid kids. The room had a fridge and microwave which was surprising! And yeah not the 5 star pimp sweet, but if you wanna get away to the shore with your sweetheart on the cheap and don't plan on spending all your time in the room this is your spot! I will totally book again!
Review 109：The rooms were dirty, you could smell smoke thought the room , and thefact I booked a kitchenette suite and ended up with a double bed roomwas frustrating. Carbon monoxide detector was up high when it should ofbeen low to ground , smoke detector beeped all night long! Not a goodfamily place ,it s more for the young party goers.
