Review 2：Location. I booked a queen bed room. The last one they had was down when I arrived. She upgraded me to the queen deluxe suite with a whirlpool tub at no extra charge. Can't beat that! I'll be back.

Review 5：Bed and pillows were old and not comfortable. Bedspread was old and ragged. Sofa upholstery was dirty and stained. There was no free breakfast as advertised. The wifi in the room was weak and spotty. Walls and ceilings were thin, every noise was audible from the guests upstairs to the staff moving furniture on the deck at 7 a.m. Nightclub across the street blared music until 3 am. Area of town this motel is located in is rundown and supports a lower class of clientele.

Review 9：The parking was very limited, I had to park in a parking lot that was a block away feom the motel. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything from the people above you and next to you. The staff were arguing in the room next to ours and we could hear every word. The blanket and couch had stains on them and there was mold on the bathroom mirror.

At check out the female owner could not bother to ask why we were leaving early and left me standing at counter while she continued her conversation. Extremely rude and classless.

Review 16：The owner was very nice when I checked in but when I was at the pool with the others in my group he questioned one who was outside the fence not even in the pool area asking if he was a guest and not being very nice about it. We had a six person room and the owner had only seen three of us at that point and we were with six at the pool so I don't know what his issue was. After that he kept watching us which I did not appreciate.

Review 18：The one thing I did not like and that would make me not stay there again was the fact that our shower did not get hot the entire trip we were there! And the staff knew about the problem and told us we had to leave it running for a minimum of 20 minutes for it to get hot!! But even after running it for over half an hour it never got hot once. If they know that is a problem, they should fix it immediately. Very unhappy I had to take cold showers all weekend!
Review 19：The front desk staff was very pleasant! The woman was very helpful in recommending restaurants. I liked that we got free breakfast for staying with there everyday. I also liked the free parking and that the motel was located right across from the bars and only a block from the beach and boardwalk. Very convenient location.

Review 37：Sunrise Motel is a perfect location when you're going to the boardwalk and to the dock outfitters for crabbing, it's very near these places. Meri, the manager is very approachable and accommodating, as well as the staff. Now, we're sure where to book for next year.
Review 38：Every time I turned on the TV it was on the loudest setting and needed to be turned down quick. The shower had low water pressure. Only mirror was the small one in the bathroom.

Rooms were clean and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the rocking chairs every morning. Mary is the absolute best and took great care of us!
Review 41：It is located near island beach state park. Seaside Could be such a great place with more investment. Unfortunately the area is not so attractive. But my stay was great at a great price. And island beach is perhaps the best beach in Jerzy.

Review 54：On arrival our room smelled terrible -- damp and foul. One bed was covered in sand and the kitchen was unusable, not a fork or plate to be seen. Generally just an unclean environment with walls, bathroom and floors in poor condition. If you have a young family be aware it's right opposite a noisy nightclub which opens on weekend nights! The breakfast is complicated ... you get a token which is used in several locations BUT you're restricted in what you can have and you always pay a tip and extras -- our 'free' breakfast always ended up costing around $20!

I'm not kidding when I say the bed and ceiling fan shookfrom the vibrations. Being a holiday weekend, the place was also takenover by an ill-mannered family. They swiped the towels (our personaltowels) that we left out to dry, took over the pool and left it a mess,left their doors open as people (not guests) trapsed in and out allhours of the night, also playing loud music (over the club!). The bedwas a full (I'm a full-sized adult and my husband and I felt like wewent back to college... Not fun) and the pillows were paper thin. Wepaid nyc rates for a motel by the beach, but I guess that's all partof the experience.

Review 76：My family has been staying here for years! I just decided last minute to do a one mightier with a cousin of mine and you can't beat the location! If your a partier this hotel is located directly across the street from bamboo and karma night clubs which are only open on the weekends... If you are with children looking to have a family vaca do not stay on the weekend but rather during the week say Mon-Thursday to avoid noisy nightlife.. The staff is very friendly and well accommodating... Our shower wasn't working because no one had stayed on the third floor since this was not yet busy season they immediately upgraded us to a luxury suite which was basically a huge apartment! It was amazing! I would say if your stay is longer spend the money for this suite! Also it has a decent pool which is always nice after a day at the beach! All in all expect beach motel don't expect luxury hotel!! It's exactly what you picture a jersey shore motel to be!!!

I got the impression that we would get a full breakfast at the Hotel. what we got was a voucher for a breakfast sandwich at a nearby Deli and this was only for a specific sandwich. we basically got a bread sandwich, then we were told that we could apply the voucher towards a different sandwich and pay the difference. After applying the voucher towards a different sandwich and being charged an automatic %18 gratuity by the Deli, our breakfast was no less expensive than if we had purchased it at full price.Not very good food, I honestly would not eat their if breakfast was absolutely free. parking lot very tight.

Review 94：1. The mattresses/box springs were worn out. When a bed is sunk down in the middle without weight, that's not a good sign. One appearance thing was that the refrigerator was rusty, yet clean inside (again, beach thing). Cleanliness, um, dried urine stains on toilet rim is never pleasant. Small centipedes in tub ah, no biggie to us. Wi-fi was weak and slow.

Review 97：Kevin and the staff will do anything to help your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Although it has a full size kitchen, pans, plates and cups are not included. But the staff and owner (kevin) found some for me and helped me out with everything. I will Def recommend it to anyone single, couples or families. It's also in front of bamboo so it's a nice view when the lights of the club are on.

Nice clean lounge area in front of our room, great to eat at or just relax...I would recommend Sunrise to anyone and everyone...thank you for everything.
Review 109：Needs updating!! Rooms are out dated! Old very small t.v., old stained uncomfortable couch with a pull out bed that smelled awful of mildew. Beds were VERY uncomfortable! NO coffee maker in the room. Advertised as FREE breakfast. It is not a free breakfast and it is NOT at the motel. You received a coupon that you have to go to office every day and pick up. To bring to 3 other locations. Where you can receive 1 free item or $3.00 off a breakfast. Bathroom is very small. Of all the places we saw that you could stay in Seaside heights, we honestly do NOT feel this room was worth over $1,000 for a week!

Nice pool Clean facility (and i always bring my own cleaning supplies), VERY friendly and accommodating staff, pool was a good size and crystal clear clean, loved the 2nd floor patio, 2 grills for bbqing, about a block from the boardwalk/beach, during our stay there were couples in the 20s,30s,40s,50s, a young group of guys and muliple couples with kids everyone was so friendly we had a great time, let me just say this is not a ritzy hotel but its clean, comfortable and bug/ant free! We hung out on the deck/patio till 1-2am as did most other guest, drinking, playing cards etc. So the bamboo clubs LOUD music didn't bother us at all. Fridge worked great, we brought paper goods for the kitchen (kitchen is bare not even a pot) This motel exceeded my expectations, We'll def book there again.

It did not bother us while we were staying there but there are 2 clubs right across the street that could be too loud for families with children. Rooms need to be updated but are well kept. Short walk to beach and boardwalk. Most of the hotels/motels need updating in the area. I personally wouldn't do a week stay anywhere were everyone doesn't have a little mire space but if your getting away for a few days with the kids I recommend The Sunset Motel.
Review 129：I expected the staff to be very friendly upon reading the reviews. We arrived approximately 45 minutes early and the front desk guy seemed annoyed. We had to ask about the breakfast vouchers and were told to come down every morning after 6am to get them. We had to ask for our beach badges and were told not to lose them because they are very expensive (in a very rude tone). We were given our room key and the room had not been cleaned yet... which was very unprofessional. Repulsed, we headed to the boardwalk for a quick lunch. Got back in a half hour and the room was done, although it was not a thorough job in that short amount of time. Stains all over the futon and rug. Useless kitchenette with no microwave or utensils. We were traveling with our 1 year old son who gets up early. We went to get our breakfast vouchers at 7am the first day and the office was closed, when he told us he would be open at 6am. The sign said they would not be open until 9am that day. We had to go buy our own breakfast, my 1 year old was too hungry to wait that long. We were furious. The next night was horrendous with noise from the nightclub Bamboo across the street which kept us up the entire night. We left a day early because we hated our experience. I would never stay here again even if you paid ME! Stay away unless you are there for the night clubs and don't care about having decent accommodations.

Would suggest bringing your own pillow or asking for more. -The bed was hard, and I like a softer bed. -When trying to use the outlet in the bathroom, it would shut off the microwave, fridge, and AC unit.
Review 140：-Staff is very friendly. -Location close to the beach. -They let you park and give you free beach passes before check-in. -Free breakfast at 4 places in the local area. -Both the Queen bed room and Suite Rooms include a mini-fridge and microwave. -Rooms have a TV along with TV guide list provided. -Provide plenty of towels. -Very clean. -Properly working AC unit.
