Reviews for Sweetwater Inn and Spa
Review 1:Nothing negative to say.
Review 2:Everything! This was our favourite stay out of all the places on our honeymoon road trip through the USA. The room was comfortable and we were made to feel at home. The spa was a nice extra which we thoroughly enjoyed. The location is right nearby the beach, cliff tops and the shops / restaurants. Highly recommended - we loved this place!
Review 3:We were promised an upgrade for $25 more and the main thing we wanted from it was the use of a private spa. When we got there we were told we don't have that privalage because somebody else rented it. We still got an upgrade, but it turned out to be much worse than our original room, Though the room was bigger, the "upgrade"was on a busy street and neither of us slept very well. My wife never even got to use the spa, as the one available to the public closed at 9 and didn't re open until we were gone. Overall, it was an expensive and disapointing experience. We were really looking forward to it, but we won't be staying there again.
Review 4:Nice staff
Review 5:Very friendly and accommodating. Nice to walk to the spa for a hot tub and massage. Great location, a few blocks from the bar so no late night noise but everything within walking distance.
Review 6:This was a quaint place and we had a huge accomodation with a fun staircase. It was perfect for our family and our dog. It was a nice walk to the beach and town.
Review 7:The couples massage was Not! We were apart. My masseuse spent 40 percent of her time on my feet, so that she could SIT during that time. I had mentioned that I wanted her to focus on my shoulders. My gf had a gabby woman that caused my gf to never be able to relax. A horrible experience and a rip off!
Review 8:Arriving outside of office hours, the instructions were a little confusing. This Inn has multiple buildings and rooms, and all the rooms are labeled on the outside of the building, except the 2 rooms in the building with the office. Took me a while to find the room.
Review 9:The location was perfect--lots of good food within walking distance, and close to many bluffs and hiking trails. The gas fireplace was very nice and toasty. The water did not have that chlorine smell as it is well water. No nasty "air fresheners" were detected.
Review 10:This time my original reservation in Apple Cottage was cancelled because of repairs and I was placed in Rosie's Room 1 of 2 tiny rooms above office. Tiny, cold, dark with no real desk or place to read and ?WIFI. Avoid these 2 rooms!!
Review 11:Stayed here number of times in past and always liked it. Usually stayed in an individual cottage.
Review 12:No breakfast. We missed the hint: it's called Sweetwater Inn, not Bed and Breakfast. The room was a very steep flight of stairs to the second floor, and it was seedy. Badly needed an update.
Review 13:It was just a block from the main downtown area. Through the back garden were two excellent restaurants. Our room was clean. We didn't use the spa/sauna, but others might enjoy it.
Review 14:We stayed in the 3-bedroom house, located away from the main Sweetwater Inn. We arrived late at night, but picked up the key and drove out of town to find our lodging. It was a charming older home. Everything was clean and comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed coffee on the deck and watched a small flock of wild turkey out for their morning stroll. The staff was very helpful and we plan to return.
Review 15:Steep staircase to a stuffy small room....with a unpleasant Oder. There were other rooms in the complex that appeared to be available and looked like they would have been more comfortable. HOT TUB QUESTIONABLE !!!
Review 16:Location was ok
Review 17:Cose to the beach. Great walking along the River and Beach. Anne was a great hostess. Cose to all the shopping and restaurants. We had a wonderful time.
