Reviews for The Ashley Inn & Suites

Review 1:The blow dryer sorted out and caught on fire and burnt my wife's hair. Front desk didn't seem to care. It must happen often because they didn't seem supprised. Hot tub was warm and not hot. They have also changed the breakfast and pool access. This leads me to belive they are having a lot of issues with people around the area.

Review 2:Hotel was empty, quiet, and it's close to the casino.

Review 3:A manager or some kind of staff from office screaming and talking down to cleaning lady in hall way in front of everyone. Very rude and felt bad for cleaning lady!

Review 4:Staff at night were extremely nice, the hotel seemed very clean.

Review 5:Requested early 2 PM check in. Was told rooms would not foe ready and 53 PM would be the time. Arrived at 2:50 PM and had to wait until 3:15 for assistance with check in.

Review 6:Convenience in town and comfy bed.

Review 7:didn't know that this is a pet friendly hotel until we were close to leaving, my daughter is allergic to pets and sneezed the whole time.

Review 8:breakfast was great!

Review 9:They did not clean our room after the first night of a two night stay. We came back to a room that smelled like wet towels. The front desk staff that helped us during check in was not rude but was not very friendly either.

Review 10:The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

Review 11:Breakfast was terrible. Eggs tasted like rubbery sulfur. I should have just had cold cereal. Staff didn't help much with recommendations for activities around the area though -- a little dismissive when we asked a about a winery/vineyard to visit. Not everyone wants to spend 7 straight days at sitting on the beach.

Review 12:Nice staff. Easy to check in and book. Good recommendation for dinner (Black Fish) which was spendy as they warned us. Room was nice with fridge and microwave. A but run down though.

Review 13:No ocean view but my fault for not checking that before reserving rooms.

Review 14:Were able to get us rooms even though it was a last minute trip to the beach. Also found out this is a possible place to stay with our 90lb dog. Love that!!!

Review 15:1. the TV stopped working and the person sent to fix it was unable to do so. 2. The person upstairs from us walked heavily back and forth deep into the night. Thicker rugs or more insulation might help.

Review 16:Outdated, elevator was a little scary at moments, air conditioner hardly worked then in middle of the night was freezing with no extra blankets to find

Review 17:Staff was kind, breakfast was great

Review 18:Easy access to activities; great quality of room and wonderful hot breakfast with reasonable selections. Although not an ocean view, we will definitely return at this time of year.

Review 19:Room wasn't ready at check-in time. I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes until I went back to the front desk. The room was ready then but it would have been nice if they had let me know as soon as it was ready since I was sitting less than 10 feet away. Thin walls, heard several rooms around me "gettin it on" at 2-4AM. Thankfully, all the dudes could only go for 5-10 minutes. The place needs a paint job and renovations badly. I paid $185 while the guy beside me paid $135 for the same room.

Review 20:Glad they provided a breakfast, although mediocre. The free shuttle from the Chinook Winds makes its last stop here, and on the return trip Ashley Inn is the first stop.

Review 21:requested upstairs in advance but was given a middle floor room. I could hear upstairs neighbors footsteps each time they crossed the room.

Review 22:Beautiful room with nice table and couch. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants.

Review 23:Wifi didn't work most of the time. Kitchen staff could have been more friendly.

Review 24:Pool was great, rooms were clean, nice to be able to purchase a few things at lobby food, drinks etc.

Review 25:Breakfast was wonderful in that we were served. However, I believe having a choice on the counter would have been nicer.

Review 26:The friendliness and helpfulnees of the breakfast staff

Review 27:Lincoln City is a beach town and the hotel is not beach front. That can't be helped, but nearly every other aspect is great.

Review 28:We enjoyed the decor and cleanliness of the facility. The staff is friendly and responsive.

Review 29:The way they did a hot breakfast. Oh and I was amazed at the snacks on sale and also beer and wine. I felt that they weren't trying to rip you off with the prices.

Review 30:The place was clean, large and a great value. We traveled from Seattle to Monterey and this was the least expensive hotel we stayed in but my husband and I both give it a 5 star rating! Lincoln City is a great small town on the Oregon coast.

Review 31:No bad experiences! Highly recommend.

Review 32:I liked the comfortable spacious king room, and they provided all the basic necessities. I also appreciated all the friendly staff.

Review 33:Unable to check in before 3:30 which meant having to return to hotel from our event to check in. Need a policy to check in and claim room with understanding it may not be ready until afternoon. Because of the horrible traffic we had to take a cab to and from our event which ended up taking two hours to get there and back. Also not enough carts to service customers having to check out by 11:00. Hot breakfast was nice but rather have had different choices. Ice machine was a pain.

Review 34:Room was beautiful and clean, beds great, and it was nice to have a hot breakfast. The afternoon staff was great. I would stay again.

Review 35:I would have liked a real 12 cup coffee pot and the pool to be open earlier in the morning. But there was coffee in the lobby and I got a chance to swim before we left. Also, we were placed next to a couple with a yappy dog that kept me awake pretty late. Lame. However, with that said, I would stay at the Ashley again.

Review 36:Our room was clean and well-maintained. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They were willing to help me with anything I needed. It was a nice stay. Oh! And I loved the hot tub & pool.

Review 37:Drunk couple fighting loudly all night in the room next to us. Went down to front desk to report, they did nothing, fighting continued until 3:30 am. Went down to front desk in the morning to report incident to manager, they did nothing. For the amount of money I paid, overall, I was not impressed.

Review 38:Noise. Every night we stayed there were disturbances at 2 or 3 am in the morning. We did not enjoy the screaming kids at that hour and it seemed nobody took the time to remind them that other guests were in the hotel. They forgot to give us a wake up call. Thank goodness we had the alarm clock and cell phones to do so.

Review 39:Ashley was clean and the staff was pleasant. The pool and spa were great and the room was nice. Not exceptional but nice.

Review 40:Wi fi was terrible. Had no phone service in the room. Had to go out side to make a call or even pull up face boom.

Review 41:Been here several times. Breakfasts are great. I like the idea of sitting down and being served. Food was very good and warm.

Review 42:The motel was not as clean as last time we stayed there. The one side of the bed smelled like someone had been sick.

Review 43:The staff are very friendly and the location is great.

Review 44:All I can think of sere the beds in the room we stayed in were much to soft.

Review 45:Enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly. The room was nice and clean. Exallent bedding and towels.

Review 46:Hot tub was not hot nor bubbly. Free breakfast is standard hotel free breakfast served as "homemade." Really it just seems cheap. I was uncomfortable asking for more food and by tip shilling.

Review 47:Sofa and table in room. Wi fi. Microwave. Fridge.

Review 48:We did see a huge spider in the pool area, but it was only a garden spider and they tool care of it right away. Breakfast wasn't good but we're kind of food snobs too.

Review 49:The spa was amazing and there was never anyone else in the pool area so it was very nice and quiet. Our room was great with the exception of the noise from the road just outside the window.

Review 50:A good experience overall. But the side door exiting the building to parking lot did not allow us to use our room key to re-enter... so we had to use the main entrance in pajamas...

Review 51:I liked the fact that there was a sauna, spa and pool! That is always something we look for when looking for a Hotel to stay in. Spa/Sauna for Mom & Dad and pool for the kids.

Review 52:The area's company for cable TV is lousy, even at homes in the area. Hotel's TV remote/system thru cable company made it hard to switch from a DVD to watching TV. Called front desk and she came to room to help us get TV access. Not hotel's fault.

Review 53:They gave me the requested room away from elevator or ice machine so it was very quiet. Wonderful bed!

Review 54:Room size and bathroom size were both pluses. Adequate parking, overall accommodations didn't make us feel cramped. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise and nicely setup.

Review 55:First time that we stayed here for our anniversary but I didn't like the fact that they made me feel like I was not welcomed by the kitchen staff also we wanted to go in the pool and/or Sauna but the paper we printed it said that it was closed due to renovations when we saw the kids in the pool it was too late we almost were leaving. So most of our experience was not good.

Review 56:I liked that it was clean.

Review 57:Can't think of anything bad this trip

Review 58:Everything in one building staff very helpful. My friend wanted special breakfast and the kitchen staff made it happen. This birthday trip was truly special thank all of you.

Review 59:Breakfast Biscuit and Gravy could use some work. Room 115 is right off the lobby and there's a gap from the floor to the door so decent light shines through & noise.

Review 60:The staff was very kind. The room was clean when they picked up both times. The atmosphere was welcoming.

Review 61:Although I appreciated the extended continental breakfast, I wish they would offer pancakes. The hotel is family/kid friendly but the breakfast, not so much. Kids love pancakes and I don't think pancakes would add much more cost or be very difficult to heat up.I think in the long run, less food would be wasted. Very few kids like eggs and not too many more like potatoes. I saw a lot of food being wasted by just the kids alone.

Review 62:Usually we stay at a place right on the beach but, this was a last minute, just for fun, getaway so, after doing some research, I decided to give Ashley Inn a try. It sounded to good to be true considering the low cost. We were pleasantly surprised and we didn't even miss being on the beach!! The staff was amazing and very accommodating from the moment we stepped through the door. They even had the chocolate chip cookies! My son appreciated that! The rooms are very clean, which is the first thing I critique in a hotel! I am extremely particular about cleanliness in Hotels. They are spacious and quite comfortable. The pool was wonderful. The water was warm. They have everything you could want as far as amenities go and I liked that their breakfast is sit down and someone comes to take your order, instead of just coffee, muffins and donuts, and Belgian waffles like every other place. We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning another trip back

Review 63:Exercise room was very small. It could use updating.

Review 64:The rooms were clean and spacious. The large freshly made breakfast was delicious. Items were made to order. The pool and hot tub were refreshing.

Review 65:The floor in our room was squeaky and I'm sure bothered the peoplein the room below us. The hot water took several minutes to heat up.Which made getting up and ready to go to work on-time hard. The freebreakfast didn't start until 7, and I needed to be at work at 7:30,45 minutes away...

Review 66:The breakfast was the best part of the stay. There was a menu to choosefrom about 11 hot things including: egg scrambles, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, sausage, bacon, muffins.... The service in the breakfast roomwas fantastic, I tipped them every day!

Review 67:Nothing that I can think of

Review 68:Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean. Received a call from the front desk shortly after we got into our room asking if everything in our room was satisfactory...loved that!

Review 69:I didn't like how long it took for the hot water to kick in

Review 70:I liked the fresh chocolate chip cookies, the free wi-fi, the free breakfast, and the movie selection.

Review 71:Great location from downtown Lincoln City and Chinook Winds casino. Loved the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet.

Review 72:Workout facilities, not real accessible and broken down machines.

Review 73:Nice friendly and helpful staff especially up at main desk. They made it very comfortable for me and my family. Thank you.

Review 74:I know it's out of fashion, but a dry place to smoke would have been great.

Review 75:Excellent location, very friendly staff, clean throughout, lots of fun extras ... They made cookies ! The rooms are the perfect size , and one of my favorite things... A place to sit with my someone special :-)

Review 76:The power went off a couple if times. And at one point we didnt have any cable to watch for awhile.

Review 77:The staff was nice, friendly. The room seemed to be clean

Review 78:We left our dogs at home to get away from them for a while and wouldn't you know there was a room near us with two dogs that barked.

Review 79:The staff was very helpful and polite, making check-in a breeze. The room was refreshingly clean as was the rest of the facilities, the nice touches of fresh muffins and warm cookies made it very homey.

Review 80:We camp every Summer here but first time to stay at this hotel. Desk clerks were great, breakfast was cooked to order and was not skimpy. We'll come again. Very clean, nice facilities.

Review 81:What is not to like?

Review 82:All the personnel were pleasant and at ease. To order breakfast from a menu was unexpected. We felt "classy" and at an affordable price. Large rooms well furnished.

Review 83:Great place, friendly staff, we loved everything!! Room was very comfortable, and clean. Appreciated the fridge and microwave. Pool/Spa was great, and so was breakfast. My kiddos favorite part was being able to rent a movie, and fresh baked cookies!! :)

Review 84:Buffet breakfasts were way better. They now give you a menu and serve you, but the food is not too great, a lot is cold, if you are gluten free, you can eat the eggs and potatoes...no gluten free cereals. Muffin cold.

Review 85:beds are fairly good, the way they make them is not, they just lay the sheets and blanket on and a sheet on top, there is a cover over the bottom part which lays on the floor, and the rest go down to join it. We like them tucked in, not touching the floor. The towels are nice, and the rooms are comfy. Like the cookies in the evening, they are really good, and coffee is always in lobby, and you can make your own in room. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good parking. Getting onto the highway is a little difficult and almost impossible if heavy traffic. Two restaurants are a block or two away. Room was quiet, nicely furnished with a loveseat, two queens, table and two padded chairs. Had good t.v., refrig., micro wave and coffee maker, hairdryer, and iron and board. Not a bad place.

Review 86:Starting with booking the room thru departure the staff is wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast server with your room is great quality and plenty of it. The entire building is kept very clean. The rooms are very large and comfortable. We WILL be back.

Review 87:the parking lot only one way in and out!!!

Review 88:the breakfast, the cleanliness of the rooms!! good access to everything. when the room was not right the staff fixed it right away and was very nice about it!!!

Review 89:Entered the lobby an was greeted by 2 working the desk. They were very helpful in checking in and giving a few recommendations for dinner. Our room was quiet and the next morning went down to breakfast, ordered off a menu and not just pastries and coffee like at some places. Has about 11 items to pick from, cooked to order and delivered to our table. Very good. Got a great rated for the room.

Review 90:Very unhappy with the shower pressure. There is a huge shower head but the water barely had pressure. Very difficult to rinse out hair. Also, the menu for breakfast is pretty much the same foods. Gravy, sausage, scrambles eggs. Very poor at $100/night.

Review 91:The comfort of the beds was excellent. The room size was also great.

Review 92:The check in time staff unprofessional , unfriendly , purely rude. Didn't inform of what had taken place over online booking, charged card without authorization and then did not apologize when I questioned why is she is requesting a signature, loudly put me down in front of other guests. Worst experience ever, same person at ck out did not provide corrected paper work.

Review 93:The night staff is more friendly.

Review 94:Our room was very well furnished with a comfortable bed, a sofa, small dining table and chairs as well as a television and dvd player (discs could be hired for $1 each), a fridge and microwave. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the included freshly cooked breakfast was very welcome. A nice touch were the freshly baked cookies or muffins on the reception for guests to enjoy. We only stayed for one night because we were touring but would have loved to have stayed longer.

Review 95:no adult only time in the swimming pool. to many kids in pool and underage in spa. horrible experience at breakfast with 2 women discussing their toilet backing up at least 5 times while trying to eat. the front desk took them a bucket and a plunger to unclog the toilet themselves.

Review 96:bed was comfortable

Review 97:Mainly egg-based breakfast. Fruits and muffins, English muffins would be nice to have

Review 98:The convenience to the casino and restaurants. Starbucks next door.

Review 99:New breakfast style (instead of what it was during my last visit last year). Refusal to give me 10% "return visitor" discount - explained that my rate was already discounted rate and no additional discount could be given. Lack of extra towels and blanket in the room, too few of the coffee/tea options in the room.

Review 100:Clean, quiet, reasonably priced place with friendly staff. Good WiFi connection, reasonable TV channel selection, reasonable quality bed and other furniture and amenities.

Review 101:The queen beds were reallt uncomfortable, barely slept, wole up with my back hurting. A ice machine would be nice on each floor. Our dvd didn't work and i went and rented movies and couldn't watch them

Review 102:The location, the rooms were nice, the breskfast was decent. Loved having indoor pool

Review 103:Made to order breakfast wasn't actually made to order. Scrambled eggs could have been 'livelier'!! Ashley Inn and Suites describes itself as environmentally friendly but uses disposable plates, bowls and utensils at breakfast which will go into a landfill. Not good :(

Review 104:Comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom. Lovely shower head. Spacious room. Quiet. Breakfast included. Friendly staff.

Review 105:The rooms are spacious with wonderful beds and furniture. The saltwater swimming pool was great. The hot cookies at check-in were a treat. The cooked to order breakfast was really nice! (There was also oatmeal, fruit and cereal if you preferred to just help yourself.) The coffee maker in the room had quality coffee. Everything was just perfect!!!

Review 106:Unfortunately, Lincoln City has the feeling of a town that's about thirty years past its prime. The Ashley Inn & Suites - while a good option for travelers looking for a place to stay - still can't escape the overarching Lincoln City feel.

Review 107:The room and beds were very clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff was top notch!

Review 108:Could've used a little more water pressure in the shower.

Review 109:The room was clean and spacious. Decent coffee in the room and the fridge with a freezer was a bonus.

Review 110:I liked breakfast better when I could serve myself. The shower had a loud squeal.

Review 111:The chocolate chip cookies were great and I loved waking up to the smell of breakfast.

Review 112:can't think of anything not to like

Review 113:Friendly staff Room was very nice Bed was comfortable and the free Breakfast was really really great cause it not a continental but real food!

Review 114:Unfortunately, the wake up did not feel so refreshing!! Please invest some money in mattresses!! The pain in the back negates the fun!!

Review 115:We enjoyed our stay for the most part. The staff were friendly and efficient!

Review 116:Bed was a little soft. Could be upgraded to make this a perfect experience.

Review 117:Location, gigantic room, with all anemities one could desire. Great welcome with warm cookies. Breakfast was exceptional, personallhy prepared from a menu with added suggestions from the wonderful server.

Review 118:Can't think of anything I really didn't care for. Certainly nothing to keep me from returning if the opportunity arises.

Review 119:Other than standard amenities, such as a comfortable bed and good Wi-Fi, a comfortable chair to read in and a desk and desk chair for working are at the top of my list. While the desk/desk chair were absent, the table was large enough to work comfortably for two and the chairs were adequate. There was a loveseat that proved quite comfortable for reading and relaxing. The location was good (Starbuck's next door) and the breakfast was a big step up from standard free breakfast fare. My wife was suitably impressed and therefore so was I. :-)

Review 120:Our room was on the west end of the building on the third floor with convenient stairway access to the pool. The room had a small couch next to the window which provided a nice view of Hwy 101. It was nice and relaxing reading a book and watching the traffic flow by. This is the third time we have stayed at the hotel and have had a good experience.Overall, my wife and I had a pleasent stay at the hotel and will stay here again when we visit Lincoln City.

Review 121:Location is just off highway, but some distance from downtown restaurants - outside walking range, and about four blocks from beach - but have to expect some compromise for reasonable rates.

Review 122:New hotel, good amenities (fridge, microwave, DVD player, multi TV channels, pool). Good room prices. My ranking would be higher than the 8.7 average currently posted....

Review 123:The toilet moved when we got off of it. The light in the bathroom could give someone a seizure when being turned on

Review 124:Liked the pool and hot tub. The staff was great very helpful in making arrangements for my daughter's birthday. The room was clean and comfortable.

Review 125:Some of the guests was Pretty rude but that's life

Review 126:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Staff did things in a timely manner. To be honest it felt like home away from home.

Review 127:Only 2 towels for us, no in room safe for valuables. No fresh brewed coffee. Many places have constant avail brewed coffee. The coffee in the dispenser is nasty.

Review 128:Comfortable beds. Good amount movies, good breakfast, quiet.

Review 129:The traffic trying to turn into the hotel from the north.

Review 130:The staff, the room and the breakfast. The items for sale in lobby.

Review 131:The staff was very friendly and the hot breakfast was to die for!

Review 132:EVERYTHING!

Review 133:Great deal for the money!
