Reviews for The Views Inn Sedona
Review 1:The gentalman/owner at front desk needs to be more friendly, especially during the breakfast time. The expression he gave to guests is as if they are not welcomed there. Also the breakfast space is too small.
Review 2:Excellent price, location, comfort.
Review 3:Dilip was very pleasant to interact with and very helpful to identify places to eat etc. Our room was very nice size and the location is very close to Bell Mountain. Very beautiful terrain. We would definitely choose this place again....we actually stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Scottsdale and were equally pleased during both stays.
Review 4:Hotel holds an additional $100 plus the room fee for incidentals. Tripped on the way in room as the step was not highlighted.Beds and pillow were extremely firm. Had to change the batteries in the remote control to turn on TV. There was no security latch which seemed odd on a ground level room and felt very unsecured. The sink faucet handle had toothpaste splatter. Stained towels in the shower. Took a cold shower since moving the faucet to hot it squealed so loudly the neighbor pounded on the wall in the bathroom. Breakfast was processed and packaged food.
Review 5:Easy drive and location was convenient for my needs.
Review 6:It rained one day. Obviously not hotel owners fault. But we checked out many shops and had a thoroughly enjoyable rainy day!
Review 7:The owner was very friendly and was very accommodating when we needed to change our reservation nights. Ice machine wasn't working and they took care of it immediately. Some other comments made big deal that this was located on the outskirts of town but this gave you a chance to see everything on the way into town and all the sights along the way. Didn't have a view but that's all the more reason to get outside and see everything up close. I would love to live in Sedona!
Review 8:Breakfast offerings were slim and inside seating was limited to 3 tables.
Review 9:The rate in this area outside Sedona saves a bundle, particularly on taxes. The hotel is fine for the cost.
Review 10:This moderately priced property is in a wonderful location just south of Sedona in the Village of Oak Creek. It is quite close to excellent hiking trails, very good restaurants, and conveniences such as a grocery store across the street. Rooms are quite large, spotless, and comfortable with amenities such as refrigerator, microwave, free wi-fi, and plenty of outlets. No restaurant on premises, but a basic breakfast came with the room.
Review 11:When we checked we had questions about hiking spots and the person at the desk was more than happy to show all the places that we had heard about and some of his favorites also.
Review 12:Location was further out of Sedona than I realised. View of the rocks obscured by buildings a cross the road.
Review 13:Cleanliness and value for money. The room was comfortable and very clean. The reception staff were friendly and offered us help with any local information we needed.
Review 14:I had a giant tree blocking any chance of a "view". The light switch for bathroom is outside on side of wall that makes no sense. I expected a view for the price.
Review 15:Location was great.
Review 16:Staff were very friendly, and helpful. Lovely comfortable room, with gorgeous views of the Red Rock canyons. Also, a very nice continental breakfast to start your day off with. We are already planning a return trip to Sedona, and the Views Inn Motel for next year.
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Room was big.comfortable.fridge mirowave.there is a pool.the owner very friendly great location in old creek about 20 mins drive to uptown sedona.great views from hotel.within mins hiking trails.you do need a pass which you can get in the parking lot $5 day pass you can get a week pass also.passes can be used in most places.
Review 19:This is true of a lot of places, but I am an older gentleman with balance problems. I'd like to see a handrail or two in the bathtub. I always have a bit of trepidation when i step out of the shower.
Review 20:It was quiet, lots of pillows. ice machine was close. Comfortable room in general.
Review 21:cost was way too high for the almost nil amenities. They did not want to rent us a room the second day claiming even as we asked that someone else weas booking it on line. seems to be that if you have a client in front of you asking for that room you should let them have it first.
Review 22:The cleaning ladies were friendly
Review 23:The only thing I didn't like about the Views Inn was having to leave.
Review 24:What makes this place better besides the location is the management and staff. Wonderful people and willing to do anything to make your stay great. The rooms have modern amenities and are clean and comfortable. I will surely stay there again upon my next return. Value for the price is great! There is nothing I could say wrong about this place! You can spend more money somewhere else but why?
Review 25:We had none.
Review 26:I can't say enough how much we likes this place. It is located in a peaceful area just a few miles out of Sedona so you are not paying the high tax on your room. The room was very clean and the people are so polite and informative. They also have a hot tub which was not listed in the property description. It is in walking distance to some places to eat. We enjoyed this place so much that we extended our stay. I highly recommend this place!
Review 27:When we checked in around 4-4:30 the air conditioning was turned off. The room was very hot. After just being out in the heat for hours it was very uncomfortable to come back to a hot room.
Review 28:Good location, clean and quiet. Plenty of towels. Friendly staff. Great view from hotel.
Review 29:Hotel was extremely clean. Room was large with king bed and little sofa with coffee table. Wifi signal was strong. We liked breakfast -- hard boiled eggs, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, corn flakes with milk, juice, coffee.... We also really liked cooling off in the small pool after a day of hiking or golf. Hotel is not in heart of Sedona, but in Oakcreek close to two excellent golf courses and the Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte trailheads. Very good value for money.
Review 30:The Wi-Fi didn't always work. I also would not recommend being by pool as it was really noisy. If I stay there again I will definitely get a room far away from the pool.
Review 31:The price was good and having breakfast for free was good.
Review 32:I breakfast was adequate, and I had to ask where the milk was.
Review 33:It was away from busy downtown Sedona, so getting around and finding a place to eat was easier.
Review 34:To save energy, the staff shut off the room AC after cleaning the room. When we got back in the afternoon the room was hot. It took over 2 hrs to cool the room back down. This does not save energy, only pisses off the guests.
Review 35:Good location
Review 36:Recommended a restaurant that was horrible. In the Market Place right behind the Inn. Hot inside, bad food, loud entertainment that wasn't entertaining! So sorry we wasted our money and time there.
Review 37:The front desk clerk would not check me in when I arrived. I realize theroom was not clean, but would like to have checked in.I also had a service dog. I was charged a $100 damage fee. As I understand, service dogs are exempted. BUT I could be wrong! Did not have much as far as outdoor space to sit and relax. That would be an enhancement!
Review 38:The room was clean and fresh. It was recently updated and I appreciatethat! Close to services in Oak Creek!
Review 39:We ate breakfast in the lobby and the staff person on duty was on her cell phone the entire time we were there. She was on the phone even when checking in the Sysco delivery driver.
Review 40:Room size was good.
Review 41:We had one day to stop in Sedona on our was north (we returned and stayed at another of your properties). We wanted to do a little hiking. The checkout time was 11 and the desk clerk kept emphasizing that. We felt that if were five minutes late, we would have been somehow plunished.
Review 42:Breakfast could have been a little better in comparison to other hotels around the area. It was fairly limited in what they had but overall it was okay.
Review 43:The hotel was very clean. The rooms smelled great and was recently remolded. It even had crown molding along the ceiling. The bed was very comfortable and the overall appearance of the of the room was outstanding. I would definitely recommend staying here and I would definitely stay here again if I ever come by this area again.
Review 44:nothing
Review 45:The room had a nice view of the red rock mountain. Hotel is about 7 miles from town centre of Sedona. Close to sights and shopping. Our king Room had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There is also a pool but we didn't have time to use it. We had a great evening and dinning experience at Marketplace Cafe restaurant (in the mall next to the hotel), with live entertainment that Thursday night, suggested to us by the lady receptionist. Great hotel to stay in next time in Sedona.
Review 46:This establishment is in Oak Creek, a much nicer stay than Sedona {too busy}. Nice and quiet, nice area to stroll, nice eateries to walk to. So close to Bell and Stagecoach Rocks. Great place.
Review 47:Very well maintained older facility that was clean and quiet, and close to many shops and restaurants. We particularly liked the Red Rock Café. The hot tub felt great after a day of traveling.
Review 48:Location. Price. The Market Place Cafe, with a varied quality menu, is within easy walking distance. Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock and Courthouse Rock are a 2-minute drive away.
Review 49:The Free Breakfast was less than what most other hotels provide.
Review 50:Location accessible to hiking while staying out of the Sedona traffic jams.... Friendliness of manager.... Hot tub big enough for 6+ people.
Review 51:We opened the door of our room to the breathtaking view of Sedona's red rocks. The staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly. There was a refrigerator, microwave, iron, hair dryer! The pool was clean and the water warm. We could not have been happier.
Review 52:Location is not directly in Sedona, so restaurant options, etc are more limited without a drive.
Review 53:Clean, comfortable motel. Spectacular views, hiking nearby.
Review 54:The only thing I dislike is the fact that nearly all hotels do not offer places to set or hang things, especially in handicap accessible rooms. Shelves and/or hooks (even over the door ones) would help, especially with hotels askiing us to be green and save our towels.
Review 55:We were close to everything we wanted to see in the area. The staff was very kind, pleasant, and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we appreciated having the extras(hair dryer, fridge, microwave, iron & ironing board, pool & hot tub).
Review 56:Walls are a little thin so you do get a little "neighbor noise". Breakfast was lacking (only had cereal, hard boiled eggs, bagels and rolls)
Review 57:Clean, well located easy to find, nice views
Review 58:Sedona is a bit confusing. I booked this only to find I needed to be in a different part of town early next AM...
Review 59:View, room was great, hotel was nice.
Review 60:The Views is an older hotel that has been beautifully and tastefully remodeled. We had a large room with a very comfortable bed. Love the location in Oak Creek Village.
Review 61:The bed were very comfortable and very clean. Lot of room to spread out & relax. We had 2 rooms for the 4 of us & it was a great value. Very helpful staff.
Review 62:Nothing at all!!
Review 63:the Views Inn in Sedona is a great place to stay while visiting Sedona. Our room was very clean and quite reasonably priced. The laundry room was very handy. Would stay again!
Review 64:Complimentary breakfast was really skimpy. Days Inn and La Quinta offer much more variety and healthier food. For example, this place had only corn flakes and oatmeal cereals? It wouldn't cost this place a lot to make their breakfast on par with others.
Review 65:Clean, large comfortable rooms
Review 66:The manager and his family were very warm, informative and helpful. The location was convenient to most things we wanted to do. Area was quiet and we loved the hot tub.
Review 67:A little farther out of the town of Sedona then we would have liked but worked out ok.
Review 68:Beds were very comfortable, a continental breakfast was included for the price.
Review 69:Phone in the room was inoperable. Unable to call front desk to ask questions regarding; wi-fi password, breakfast service or checkout times. It would have been helpful if given paper artinerary after checking in with the above mentioned information. Requested early checkin had to wait until 3pm and checkout was 11am for one night stay. We didn't get our monies worth considering we had access to the room less than 20hrs.
Review 70:Large, spacious room with every basic accommodation included. (except we had a non-working telephone)
Review 71:The room heater was very noisy.
Review 72:We stayed for 2 nights before heading to the GrandCanyon. It had started snowing and the very helpful gentleman on the desk gave us excellent directions to get there using the safest roads. We would stay at The Inn again when visiting the Sedona area.
Review 73:Nothing! It was a great place!
Review 74:The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We wer close to food bars and hiking! And the price was wonderful for the area!
Review 75:Lobby was not open 24/7 so in the early AM there is nowhere outside the room to hang out. If you are an early riser and your partner isn't you have no place to go.
Review 76:Ease of facility and the view of Bell Rock. Owners were kind.
Review 77:Not much to dislike here
Review 78:Close to great trails like Bell Rock and Cathedral rock and to local attractions like Chapel of the a holy cross Short ride/drive to Sedona with gorgeous views Helpful staff Quiet location Parking!
Review 79:The hotel is located in Oak Creek Village, about 10 minutes from Sedona, but for the price it's worth it.
Review 80:The room was clean and modern, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked very well. The staff was great, very friendly.
Review 81:The hotel is located close to quite a few excellent hikes. It has breakfast included in the price which saves time and money. Rooms are clean and pleasant.
Review 82:Everything. Clean, comfortable, quiet and welcoming. Inclusive breakfast a bonus with enough variety to start the day. Good location a few miles out from Sedona centre but lovely scenic ride in and out with views constantly changing.
Review 83:The location is 9 miles out of Sedona and technically should not advertise as in Sedona. Not a suitable place to stay without a car.
Review 84:Staff were most obliging.
Review 85:Breakfast - plastic and packaged. It's the same in all US motels so this isn't a particular complaint against the Views Inn. To Europeans, US motel-style breakfasts are always pretty rubbishy. Sorry!
Review 86:Welcoming staff, great location.
Review 87:Very little not to like. They need to regrout the bottom step of the staircase leading up to the second floor (held together with duct tape). I would assume that was temporary.
Review 88:The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for me because I was visiting family in the Village. But even if I wasn't, it is close to other attractions, too. I'll be back.
Review 89:It was a little noisy- right on the main road into town. The breakfast was uninspired, but for the money I can't complain at all.
Review 90:Great price for a clean pleasant place to stay the night in Sedona if you aren't looking for luxury or views. Staff was pleasant, room was clean.
Review 91:The breakfast isn't that great, but it's par with the rest of the hotels. Only thing it's missing is a waffle maker.
Review 92:Great location for two of my favorite hikes, Bell rock and Cathedral Rock. Grocery store across the street and a gas station next door. I've stayed at a few hotels in Sedona, but I always return to this one.
Review 93:[Nothing to report]
Review 94:Location away from the bustle of Sedona, but only a short beautiful drive away. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice pool (we didn't use it but it looked good). Comfortable accommodations.
Review 95:The lovely Isabella at the front desk could not have been nicer. She was full of great local tips and gave honest answers to our questions about tours & excursions. The location was perfect for us - not in the crowded, touristy downtown Sedona, but a few minutes drive through breathtaking scenery. Close to the Bell Rock and an outlet mall.
Review 96:Would ask for a second level room next time due to person above us being a very loud and heavy walker. This was no fault of the hotel.
Review 97:This hotel offers good value for the price. Continental breakfast, clean, owners are very friendly and accommodating. Located In a great location, close to restaurants, general store and beautiful views. You'll know why it got its' name.
Review 98:Room was dark. Not much of a view and some distance on scenic ride to Sedona proper
Review 99:Adequate facilities recently renovated. Patio for breakfast was nice touch
Review 100:The breakfast was disappointing, not much to choose from.
Review 101:The room was spacious and clean, the staff was very friendly and it is a really short drive to "downtown" Sedona. We only stayed there for one night though.
Review 102:Thin walls - could hear people in next room, outside at night, and before 7am, and walking across floor upstairs
Review 103:Value for what you got- very clean- continental breakfast- pretty view of Bell Rock
Review 104:not close to Sedona but that was my fault. I did not know about Oak Creek Village location
Review 105:pool, easy to get to, outside breakfast dining area was nice
Review 106:The air on was very noisy next door and droned all night through my head. The walls were flimsy and we could hear everything next door.
Review 107:The staff were charming and gave us a wonderful welcome. The views in the area are magnificent.
Review 108:The fridge slid around in the cabinet The boiled eggs were too hard to peel
Review 109:Pool/Spa was very clean Quite Comfortable Bed Nice Size Room Continental Breakfast very nice
Review 110:Towels and air conditioner were only areas that could be improved. Towels were very stiff. Air conditioner cooled but was a bit on the loud side.
Review 111:Location was close to uptown Sedona and convenient to restaurants e Enjoyed watching a beautiful sunset by the pool. Continental breakfast was nice and met our needs for light breakfast. Beds were very comfortable. Good price and we would stay there again.
Review 112:Very modern, clean, comfortable rooms, very quiet, in a beautiful location, the staff was supernice, had a problem with my credit card and they were so helpful
Review 113:Breakfast was on the weak side, but still nice.
Review 114:This place is not a chain, but don't let that stop you. The rooms are so nice that it really surprised my friends. Very clean, comfortable with great room amenities. Hot tub was nice after hiking in Sedona. Staff was very friendly.
Review 115:GPS had difficulty finding it!
Review 116:Rooms were of a very high standard. Staff helpful and friendly. Ease of access to the beautiful surroundings. Basic eateries and store on the doorstep, Pool smallish but immaculate as was the spa.
Review 117:That we had to go home.
Review 118:We were able to book two rooms for the very next 5 days. We were very comfortable, and with in walking or driving distance to everything we wanted to see and participate for our vacation in Sedona.
Review 119:"continental breakfast" was hardly considered to be a meal. Actually it was very poor selection and quality. It looks like they served whatever they had laying around in the back room. Coffee was horrible on top of it all. We never really pick hotels based on their breakfast but it does make for a quick meal before heading back home after our stay so its a nice feature. Plan to hit the RedRock Cafe around the corner for a real meal before heading home.
Review 120:This was a good affordable place to stay in the sedona area(village of oak creek). The rooms appear to have been recently remodeled or in the process of doing so. Our room had all new furniture and light fixtures. Small refrigerator and microwave was a big plus. The veiws of redrock where great and staff was helpful. We would stay there again
Review 121:The staff very friendly especially Isabel the front desk attendance. She was cordia, friendly and knowledgeable of the city and attractions. The city is beautiful, clean. We are planning other trip soon!
Review 122:It is too far away from everything. There is no place close to walk to, you have to drive to get anywhere. Sedona is a beautiful area, but this hotel has no views from the rooms except the parking lot
Review 123:Walls and ceiling were thin. A/C was very loud and didn't work very well. Continental Breakfast was terrible. If you want anything other than coffee, bring your own drink. Food choices were less than desirable.
Review 124:Price was ok and the staff was nice. Close to a few shops and food. Good for a one night stay.
Review 125:It's not in Sedona (10min) but in Oak Creek Village
Review 126:Spacious and very nice rooms. Good comfortable beds. Breakfast is somewhat limited but sufficient! Swimming pool is of a good size and well maintained.
Review 127:The view & convenience & price
Review 128:The room is very clean. And the hotel is in a very convenient location. The room has a good view. Everything are met expectations.
