Reviews for Sky Ranch Lodge

Review 1:Only thing we didn't like was that the room was not fully clean. Dusty carpet around baseboards, dust on tables. The worst was dried up snot on the side table and mold on the shower curtain. This place would've been a 10 if not for the cleanliness.

Review 2:The location. The wine bar. The old school feel.

Review 3:I didn't like the unpaved parking lot and drive ways...small rocks caught in my shoes, my car, the room, the bathroom...also... The cleaning service was inconsistent. No one came for two days in a row! I've never experienced this before. No Breakfast.

Review 4:Location is wonderful! Above the city. Right at an extremely popular look out point. The room was cozy, comfortable. Make sure to have snacks for if you get snowed in up there (which will be very rare) Great place for retreats.

Review 5:The views were great. The hotel is well centered from anywhere. There was an issue with electricity (not there fault at all, it was the city), they accommodate my family and I very fast

Review 6:Would have liked the room with a fireplace

Review 7:Location… even on top of a hill with curves. Fantastic view Excellent shuttle service. Great restaurant two steps away with great selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wine service in the evening is delightful

Review 8:No pool or spa/hot tub. It was under construction. Tv had limited channels. Direct tv with premium channels would be nice. How about including breakfast or a lower price.

Review 9:Fire place balcony. View of Sedona red rocks. Darkness for looking up to the stars.

Review 10:We loved the views, the ease of getting to, away from city lites, and the staff. The staff was friendly especially enjoyed Stephanie who staffed the little wine bar!

Review 11:I had a cold shower during our stay in the winter, which was a miserable ten minutes. Cleaning staff tried to barge into our room to clean despite our "do not disturb" on the outside of the door. The rooms were decent, but not so fancy to justify the cost of the booking.

Review 12:Great location with probably the best views you could get from a hotel in the Sedona area. The grounds are nice with a little koi pond. Room and bathroom were clean.

Review 13:We loved the location. Our room had a beautiful view. Really enjoyed the wedding/ happy our viewing area. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Review 14:Wished I had known about a winter special they were offering before I booked with booking.com.

Review 15:Amazing location at the top of a small mountain, near the small airport. Not fancy but very comfortable and warm.

Review 16:Heater was weird...kept changing to a.c. so we were either hot or freezing...it snowed while we were there so we really needed the heat. Beds were quite outdated and squeaky with every move...I sell mattresses so I am quite well versed in their comfort.

Review 17:Location was awesome!! Literally could walk to a popular viewing point of the red rocks! Great views!! Staff friendly! Grounds were beautifully decorated for the holidays!! I would stay here again.

Review 18:We were on the ground floor and hear conversations and foot steps from the guests on 1st floor.. it was very annoying and disturbing as the guests were partying late into the night and we could not get a shut eye to catch up with our plans for an early start next day.

Review 19:Location

Review 20:The bad were dirty and not comfortable at all. We didn't have hot water in our room and couldn’t adjust bad tub faucet, it was either too cold or too hot. The heater was so loud so that night I did not get chance to sleep

Review 21:There was no breakfast served but they recommended a really good place to eat in Sedonna.

Review 22:Really good value for the money. The heater worked good as it was cold at night. Enjoyed the decorations and the atmosphere, the view was spectacular.

Review 23:My only complaint about our stay is that the mattress was very uncomfortable. The room was cozy and cute and we enjoyed the fireplace.

Review 24:We had an amazing view and the staff was so amazingly nice.

Review 25:We were on the 1st floor and there was not a lot of sound barrier between floors. We woke up with tbem at 4am.

Review 26:Loved the location, property, staff and view!

Review 27:The restaurant is expensive. But you do have more choices within 5 Miles.

Review 28:The room booked at booking.com was small and had no view, but with a $60.00 upgrade per night. purchased when we arrived: We were able to get a large room with a fireplace and a view.

Review 29:The only dislike was that the towels were a little stained or had a yellow tinge to them.

Review 30:The grounds were very nice. The accommodations were good too.

Review 31:Could not figure out the AC/Heat system. I know I'm dumb. No breakfast.

Review 32:The views are amazing. Would stay here again next time I'm in Sedona

Review 33:I feel misled...the pictures of the room were much better than the actual room I received. $200 per night should at least get you a decent cup of coffee, or hot chocolate for the kids?! A little more effort & enthusiasm from the staff would have been appreciated.

Review 34:Gas fireplace, view, location. cleanliness.

Review 35:See above

Review 36:The views are fantastic, the overall location great, the staff helpful. However, the rooms are very dated, we had hoped to use the pool/jacuzzi. Bith were under repair. There is no restaurant or breakfast on site. Bathroom very small.

Review 37:Nothing fancy - so it's not a resort and no restaurant. But since I just needed a place to sleep, this place was perfect.

Review 38:Perfect location. Right next to Airport vortex hike, amazing view and easy to find. Had fridge & microwave, it was nice to keep a little snack. Clean and quiet, a good place to rest.

Review 39:There were weddings booked both nights I was there which meant I could not view the sunset from their lovely garden/lookout area, which was one of the reasons I stayed there.

Review 40:Not a bad experience, just a bit pricey for an older, somewhat dated room. An upstairs room would be more enjoyable because of the noises heard in our ground level room.

Review 41:Location was beautiful and staff was very pleasant.

Review 42:Rooms were musty smelling. Requested a garden view, got a stuck way in the back of units, rooms right in front of pool with no view of any garden and pool was also under repair. Patio where they hold weddings was closed (probably one of the reasons why we booked to get that viewpoint) (shown on website)

Review 43:Best part was the view from veiwpoints at the hotel.

Review 44:It is dated but always clean!

Review 45:The Staff is always friendly - The rim view rooms offer great sunset views. We have stayed many times when driving up visiting friends in the Valley. The wine and beer cafe is a nice addition!!!

Review 46:Uncomfortable beds. Everything was dated. We had to walk through dirt to get to the room. Drive through ditches to get to our room. Would not recommend.

Review 47:Wi fi

Review 48:Older style rooms, i.e. Keyed room entry, more rustic decorating.

Review 49:Very convenient located within walking distance to Sedona Airpirt Cafe. Beautiful vista views in the area.

Review 50:Although the adjacent airport has a very good restaurant for all meals, the hilltop location is slightly remote from the town. Only has a small bar with limited hours. Having to leave !

Review 51:Excellent room with a living flame corner fire, wooden slatted blinds and native American inspired decoration. We had a second floor room with excellent views front and back, as well as a balcony with seating. The garden terrace provides impressive views of the nearby hills and town. Reception staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Review 52:Everything was awesome, super friendly staff.

Review 53:View of Sedona is incredible. Only resort up on the hill next to the airport. Absolutely charming, quaint cute little cottage style room, full wine bar and viewing patio. Quiet and relaxing.

Review 54:Not a negative, as the rooms are comfortable and clean, but not modern.

Review 55:Location is spectacular. On top of mesa with breathtaking view of the mountains. Be sure to get a room with a mountain view. We didn't ask for it, but had great view and nice outside porch. They also have rooms with fireplaces. Nice touch in fall or winter when it is cooler. Very nice wine bar and large patio overlooking valley. No breakfast, but very nice resturant within walking distance.

Review 56:The rooms were a little dated, but very clean and well maintained.

Review 57:The property was clean and well kept. The views and amenities were excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Review 58:While there, I added a day- Sunday- to my visit and they billed it at more than Friday or Sat rate! When I complained, they said it was based upon occupancy, but agreed to rebill at the weekend rate. Just looked online at Sunday rate, and it was $20 less than the weekend rate. I was there a total of 4 nights- you'd think they would valve my business a bit more. Everything else was great- comfy and great location. Enjoyed the Mesa Grill too.

Review 59:Location and views

Review 60:Hotel lookout was closed several nights due to weddings. Bathrooms need curtains.

Review 61:The location is great! Away from the commercialism of Sedona but minutes away from it if you need coffee, snacks etc. Two beautiful look outs for viewing the red rocks. Grounds of motel are very nice and appreciate the bar.

Review 62:Friendly staff and a great location . Had a great view of the valley right from the hotel. The room was quaint and comfortable and met our needs .

Review 63:Nice large rooms but need updating, especially baths. Needed comfy chairs to sit in front of fireplace. Fireplace pilot light kept going out. Only had for 2 nights of our 4 night stay.

Review 64:The area was great! Loved the view! Grounds were kept up wonderfully! Pool was heated!!! Nice deck!

Review 65:The price was higher than other hotels.

Review 66:Weather permitting there would have been great views at sunset. There was a restaurant within walking distance.

Review 67:Room did not have a comfortable feel and bathroom was dirty. Very dated rooms with furniture that is falling apart. We were in the two story building. Maybe the single level rooms are nicer.

Review 68:The views are fabulous.

Review 69:No breakfast. The lady at check in said the pool and hot tub was open but when I went to the pool it was covered and so was the hot tub. It was covered with a tarp type of covering and had a hose going into it?? Not many restaurants withing walking distance. We don't drink and drive so this was a little annoyance. I did not see kne person making use of their wine Barthes whole time I was staying.

Review 70:The view was really beautiful. I was able to print my boarding passes. The room was cleaned every day and cleaned well. Fireplace was great. Laundry facilities on site. Kettle with coffee making stuff stocked every day. Fridge and microwave was helpful. QIt was great for the price. Very clean and quiet. I would stay again. We discovered this great little town about 50 minutes away called Jerome. Very cool vibe. If you go visit during the day because the shops close early. Dine at the Asylum. I recommend the filet mignon with toffee mousse dessert.

Review 71:Beds were not that comfy and mattresses were extremely squeaky. coffee and creamer could be upgraded. Plastic drinking cups in room were tiny.

Review 72:Quaint property with little courtyard vignettes. Fridge and microwave in room came in handy. Great location with amazing views of Sedona.

Review 73:what breakfast? did we miss something?

Review 74:Sierra and Stephanie and Josh were pleasant, informative, likeable, and helped make our stay extremely enjoyable.

Review 75:Breakfast would be nice since it is a bit of a drive to get food. Office open before 7 to get coffee.

Review 76:Very good for the price. Beautiful well kept gardens. Scenic view. Room up to date. Quiet. Staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy working there.

Review 77:We booked 6 rooms and although they were all relatively close together, it would have been nice to all have been in the same building. One of our room keys did not work and even the staff was unable to get in for room service. It was ok though, the staff was friendly and helpful in providing whatever we needed.

Review 78:Location was excellent, rooms were nice, hot tub and pool were great. Traveled as a group of 12 and we were all very pleased with this hotel. The only negative reviews I read about this place before arriving were concerning the airport, but this did not bother us at all.

Review 79:This place is a hidden gem. We had never been to Sedona before so we didn't know exactly where we were staying in comparison to other hotels but after seeing all the other hotels we could have stayed at, I'm so happy we ended up at sky ranch lodge. It is so peaceful and its is located right next to a trail that leads to a vortex

Review 80:Did not like the room did not have an iron. Did not like that we paid for a view room and it was blocked by overgrown tree branches.

Review 81:The grounds were beautiful

Review 82:The two story buildings transmit some noise from upstairs, but the buildings are kind of old so its expected.

Review 83:Comfortable beds, beautiful grounds and wonderful view!

Review 84:The very hard bed, the roach in our room, the small, outdated accommodations in the room made our experience such that we will not be back.

Review 85:The grounds were nice.

Review 86:The scenic views were wonderful! Also, the landscaping and pathways were well maintained and added charm. We would recommend Sky Ranch Lodge to our friends.

Review 87:I think they should change the picture in their ad. I had an updated room that didn't look anything like the picture in the ad. They are not doing themselves justice.

Review 88:The location is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. It was so relaxing to be at this hotel I would recommend it to anyone. There was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in my room. The pool area is beautiful and they serve wine from 3:00-9:00PM and have a viewing area that you can just sit and drink wine. Definitely coming back!

Review 89:We were disappointed that no one bothered to prepare our room for occupancy, though we made our reservations very far in advance. No one evidently checked to be sure the mini-fridge was on and functioning (it wasn't), and no one checked to be sure our tv worked (it didn't, and the nice maintenance men who came very promptly -- twice -- to assist us never did figure it out. We finally did on our own while they were in the room).

Review 90:The views from your 'view' rooms & their neat little patios are unmatched!

Review 91:The great view they have was already booked for weddings so we never even got to see it.

Review 92:The room was very comfortable. Loved the balcony off the 2nd floor. Right next door is a wonderful public turnout for a fabulous view. Have to admit that at sunset it was very crowded there.

Review 93:We came with a pet so every time we left we were asked to call the front desk to inform them. This was a bit of an annoyance but other than that our stay was pleasant. Beds are hard as a rock too but the property is well kept and has outstanding views and friendly staff.

Review 94:Bed was a little hard .

Review 95:Location was excellent! Very pretty setting and gorgeous sunsets . We took early am hike to watch sunrise right out our door. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved it!

Review 96:Breakfast on site would be helpful. No restaurant but a good one within easy walking distance.

Review 97:Fantastic views. Lovely grounds, peaceful environment, all ground level rooms, plenty of parking. Would definatly stay here again.

Review 98:Our floors were dirty for some reason and felt a bit unclean. wished they had swept the floors at least. didn't think it was worth how much we paid for a night but it was a last minute trip.

Review 99:Thankfully we had a nice view from our room. So that was nice. The room was decent and close to main st.

Review 100:I accidentally left my purse at a patio table. Another guest turned it in to the staff. My long awaited vacation would have ended if it hadn't be for the honesty and kindness of the ladies who turned it and the staff at Sky Ranch. We met several nice people enjoying the view and landscaping of Sky Ranch.

Review 101:All of your staff were very helpful.....we had 3 rooms...2 For 3nights.....1 For 1 night....went through booking. Com ....1 room notrecorded ....booking.com contacted your staff, & wassettled....gorgeous scenery, lovely, restful seating areas, excellent, helpful housekeepers, pool and spa a big plus...a family re-union...allloved your lodge and the Mesa Grill next to airport...special thanks toMelissa for clearing up the missing room for 9/25 -9/28....we'll be back!..thank you, julie and Donald Wolf

Review 102:Loved it all!

Review 103:The location and layout of the grounds were absolutely wonderful. Short drive into town and relaxing, well kept grounds to enjoy in the evenings. Fantastic!

Review 104:the attempt to sign in on arrival was rather strange as a rude gal kept reminding us the check-in was 400pm. I wasn't looking for a room number until later after we ate downtown. this was at 1230pm. so we left for the restaurant.

Review 105:the town of Sedona and its downtown. and the black woman that checked us in at 330pm with a great smile and attitude.!!!!

Review 106:Rooms could use some updating. Pretty expensive for what you get.

Review 107:Beautiful location and our standard Queen room on ground floor had lovely view of Red Rocks.

Review 108:This place is up a mountain, so to go anywhere, you have to drive up and down - not great if you are not a comfortable driver. There is a restaurant at the airport, but found it too expensive to be of any convenience.

Review 109:Beautiful views, lovely pool

Review 110:That I had to leave.

Review 111:The staff was excellent; friendly and very helpful. The views are breath taking. The rooms were quiet, clean and very comfortable.

Review 112:The beds around the pool were very uncomfortable and when you tried to leave the hotel just after Sunset The road was very busy.!!!

Review 113:The Views were excellent, The gardens were very pretty and well looked after. The bar there was very good and I had a lovely sitting out area.!!!

Review 114:The lodge is next to a small airport and heliport. The bed vibrated when helicopters took off and landed, and we didn't even have to put in a quarter !!!

Review 115:The area of Sedona

Review 116:The resort is so popular we had to wait a while for our room. But waiting in the Wine Bar patio made it all worthwhile

Review 117:Beautiful Landscaping and overlook.Great Location.

Review 118:When my mom was checking in the girl was not friendly she said in a not so nice tone that if smoked in the room she would charge her $250. My mom doesn't smoke and she could of been a little nicer. And there is no breakfast

Review 119:The landscape

Review 120:This beautifully landscaped motel took us back in time to when we traveled with our families... Stunning views of Sedona rock formations, lovely pool setting, flowers galore right down to the wine bar to enjoy!

Review 121:the coffee was too weak, and the porch lights were too bright, they need light blocking curtins

Review 122:The landscaping was outstanding and oh ya the views were awesome!!

Review 123:The property is on a Mesa It overlooks Sedona. The landscaping is like a beautiful park. Little nooks to sit and watch birds. Small bridges to cross. A wonderful pool with flowers. It was very serene The rooms are a little old ,but nicely done and very clean. Nice linens. WE would go back there again

Review 124:There was nothing.

Review 125:Absolutely fantastic views!! I saw the rising air balloons every morning and the sunsets at dusk. Very quiet and peaceful. The staff was so helpful. We upgraded the room to a unit on the rim with a front deck to watch the world go by from.

Review 126:The staff told me the restaurant at the little airport next door was $15 a plate, but when it was too late I discovered it was really $25-40 for dinner. Would have just gone in town for dinner had I known.

Review 127:Amazing location and view! Great desert landscaping and every room has a place to relax outdoors. Very peaceful.

Review 128:No breakfast served to customers.

Review 129:The room were comfortable. Good location, next to viewing point on airport hill over Sedona city and start of walking trail. Nice grounds, nice small pool. Everything well maintained, beaufiful garden.

Review 130:Would like some outlets by the beds for charging my cell at night. And plastic utensils would be nice.

Review 131:The view. The view. And the view. Staff was great, as were the amenities. This was our fourth stay here and it was all we expected and more.

Review 132:The location is great especially the "rooms with views" that have patios face the Red Rock mountains. The staff is friendly and always have complimentary apples in the office. The water in the complimentary bottles of water are just outstanding.

Review 133:Very nice, clean rooms at a great price. Hot tub and pool were lovely. They're pet fee was a reasonable $10. I've stayed in otherplaces that accept pets and the rooms have never been this nice. Nostrange smells!

Review 134:The hotel is direct located at the "Sunset" spot. You just walk 2 min from the hotel to the sunset spot. Likewise there is a good restaurant near the hotel where you can walk again. It's where the airport of Sedona is, but it's nice located and not noisy at all. The food is a little pricy, but the food was very good. We went out for dinner and after dinner within a 5-7 min walk you will be at the sunset spot (which you share with 100 of other people;)
