Reviews for Bell Rock Inn By Diamond Resorts

Review 1:The BBQs were not functioning well so we were unable to cook our supper as planned. The carpets in the buildings were well worn. Updating with floor covering other than carpet would make this a A plus hotel. I would return again without hesitation.

Review 2:It was great having a studio available to make breakfast, supper or snacks as we wished. The location was beautiful, as well as the grounds. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub in the evenings. Having a laundromat available was appreciated.

Review 3:I don't like that they charge a resort fee when they don't offer any resort type amenities. I don't like that they charge an extra $100 security deposit, and it can take up to 4 weeks to get back.

Review 4:I loved the room size and the decor. Very impressive. I love the views of the mountains. I also loved that our room was fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans.

Review 5:Walls were thin and we had to move to the top floor to avoid noise from above...

Review 6:Homey feeling and the kitchenette was full of cooking and eating utensils...

Review 7:There was very little security. Outside doors used to require a room key, now they are completely open to anyone off the street. The security lock on my door was non-functional.

Review 8:The room was very clean and contained everything needed. I cooked a meal and all utensils, pans were complete. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Review 9:Girl at front desk at check in gave wrong info when I wanted to extend my stay; was told to call an 800#, found out next day that hotel staff do assist w/ such requests, but occupancy was full by then.

Review 10:Calphalon cookware, kitchen stocked w/ all essentials. Was given the extras I asked for, quick check in/out.

Review 11:Climbing steps to a second floor suite with luggage was a drawback.

Review 12:The price for a beautiful clean room with an awesome view of red rock was great. Very quiet and comfortable.

Review 13:room was on first floor and there was a family with kids making all kinds of noise above us. could have been avoided. staff should have known. we should have said something at the time, but it was later in the evening and just let it go.

Review 14:location was nice

Review 15:This is a time share property, had to do some bobbing & weaving to avoid the ssles pitches. Wifi was free, but quirky, wound up not using it.

Review 16:The facilities are pretty nice, really enjoyed the hot tub & pool. Rooms are well equipped with kitchen, bath & pool needs.

Review 17:The coffee in our room was pretty terrible and a continental breakfast would have been a nice touch.

Review 18:I was a bridesmaid in a wedding party and due to the bride's pre-scheduled itinerary, we weren't to spend much time at Bell Rock Inn, but our room was super comfy, had everything we needed & more.

Review 19:We like to stay at the Bell Rock inn for a couple weeks at a time. However, there are a few things managements needs to pay attention to. We booked the room four months in advance and stayed for two weeks. However, we were given a room looking at the parking lot. To change the room after we moved in was too much of the hassle so we had to stay in this room with no decent view and with little privacy. Also, the room was for handicapped and bathroom floor was always wet. The staff should be more considerate for the needs of the long staying guests. Cleaning staff does not know what "clean" really means. We walked in at the cleaning lady after the morning of hiking and were horrified by the mess she made: dirty, blackened, wash clothes on my clean dinner table, dirty bags on my bed. She was using my dinner table to work with bathroom wastebasket!!! Why your maids use wash cloths to clean the dirt? My room was clean before she came. I cleaned it myself, because I don't trust your maids.. We plan to stay there next year and work around these issues.

Review 20:surprised there are no elevators for access to second floor (and nobody asked me--an older person--if that would be a problem) a restaurant would be nice (but there are many nearby) mattress not awful but could be a lot more comfortable nonstop phone messages and concierge promotions (disguised as gifts) to try and interest me in a resort membership the $10 resort (WiFi plus facilities) add-on was not indicated up-front until the final step in booking the room

Review 21:nice location, with great views and in a quiet section south of Sedona staff extremely (almost too) friendly. Can't walk anywhere without somebody asking if they can help you price is very competitive

Review 22:Beware: apparently their primary goal is to sell you a time share. Ifyou don't want to be hard sold, avoid taking the welcome packet orraffle tickets and avoid the staff at the desk just inside the door. Also, I'm a frequent traveler, and this was the longest check in process I've ever experienced. Despite the fact that they already had my complete information including credit card it still took 15 minutes for the desk guy to check me in, with him typing and typing and clicking and clicking. No idea why, and when I commented on it no excuse was provided. Just weird.

Review 23:Nice property. Great room. Great value. Quiet.

Review 24:Got a phone call daily sometimes for marketing and sometimes to tell us the obvious. Not really annoying, but not necessary. I could not hear the person on the phone very well.

Review 25:Location--great views, and central to the area. The staff was very helpful.

Review 26:The toaster did not work, the wi- fi is super slow, neighbors were having a massive argument which I told the front office about - the domestic dispute did not stop until I went and knocked on their door and told them to stop. The 90 min presentation that turned into 6 1/2 hrs and took up a whole day of my vacation and all I got out of it was a free meal as I was there with my best friend who is single and I am married so I was just a guest stuck there for the 6 1/2 hrs.

Review 27:I asked for a good view and got it. That they do not waste resources on cleaning the room every day.

Review 28:Shower control very stiff & shower head almost falling off. Coffee maker did not work. These were minor issues.

Review 29:Clean, comfortable and we'll appointed

Review 30:Check in/Check out was fine UNTIL the "concierge" attacked with various offers that I immediately said I was not interested in and kept on insisting. They must be on commission and are unpleasantly aggressive.

Review 31:The facility itself is fine, the location OK but out of town.

Review 32:Refused to allow a cancellation one month out from stay. Charged $10/day for wifi - ridiculous since I could walk up to the pizza place and have it for free. Concierge staff desperately wanted us to 'talk' to them about Diamond Resorts purchasing. Annoying

Review 33:The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful.

Review 34:Selling time shares with deceptive techniques. It's never a good experience. Make it available, but stop using the Concierge as a salesman.

Review 35:Convenient to Sedona.

Review 36:Better attitude of pool man in the mirning

Review 37:The view- the terrace looking at pool- no outdoor radio music at pool before 8- we wanted to enjoy sound of founrain more early mirning cleaning staff very fruendly

Review 38:The outside of the building looked nice, but I thought I was signing up to stay in Sedona but the hotel is in Oak Creek, 7 miles away from Downtown Sedona.

Review 39:Both pools And the gym close way too early. They should be open until at least 10. Gym should be accessible 24/7.

Review 40:The grounds are nice, the bed is amazing, and overall really nice place.

Review 41:My husband and I loved the area where it's located. There are locations to eat out both sides of this hotel/Resort. It's Red Rocks are around it too! Just beautiful to wake up at this area of Sedona! Lovely and we can't wait to go back!

Review 42:Pillows too big, didn't like the concierge insistance to sell the Diamond package. AC noisy.

Review 43:Great location, walking distance from Bell Rock Pathway. Nice amenities and kitchenette facility.

Review 44:Dirty dishes in the closet Small rooms, porch smelling like cat fecies A/C did not work, needed to call repair man Were solicited for buying timeshare...

Review 45:The kitchen could use a few additions. A spatula and pair of scissors would have been nice. Also, instead of the washer, which was difficult to use, you could have an oven instead of just a stove top.

Review 46:We liked how easy it was to find the location. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly as soon as we entered the lobby.

Review 47:Ask for a view way in advance got nothing. Very disappointing to say the least.

Review 48:The style comfort and cleaniness of my room. Loved the kitchen cute and compact. Very efficent.

Review 49:Check in time could be earlier, check out time was standard, TV channels were confusing and didn't have any movie channels

Review 50:Views, parking was close, good activities, kitchenette was a great addition.

Review 51:We had very noisey neighbors above us. They would return at 2 AM and proceeded to drag furniture around and run water until about 4 AM. The last night they started the same nonsense at 9 PM and finally quit at 2 AM. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep. The king size bed matress was very hard and not comfortable. Luckily the hide a bed in the couch had memory foam so it was tolerable.

Review 52:The setting and the amenities were outstanding. The staff was very helpful.

Review 53:Not very clean in corners and doorways. Light fixtures and ventilation fans loose and not connected to wall/ceiling. Found numerous live and dead bugs of all types. Fire your exterminator company!

Review 54:Unexpected large property. Nice pool and hottub. Room spacious for a studio. Felt like a home away from home with fireplace and kitchenette with fridge.

Review 55:nothin

Review 56:The staff, knowing it was for our anniversary sent a package of delicious cookies along with a gracious note of congratulations. It was one of the joys of our short trip.

Review 57:The lobby does not reflect the look and the feel of the rest of the facility. Our first impression, the lobby, scared us. Then the room, grounds and the pools made us glad we stayed.

Review 58:Room size and the views.

Review 59:I am sorry but I liked everything. I really could find nothing wrong.

Review 60:We loved Randy Shipiro at the front desk. He started our experience in such a positive way. He tried to make sure everything was as we wanted it. He even sent wonderful cookies to help celebrate our anniversary.

Review 61:Nada

Review 62:All staff were awesome, from the check in, housekeeping to check out! I left my phone charger in my room when I checked out, and housekeeping took it to their office instead of just tossing it.

Review 63:This is the big onus! I had to cancel, leave a day early due to familysituation back on the east coast. The management and the company refusedto make any allowances for this and charged me for the day even though Iwould not be able to stay on! For this, as a reflection of a"hospitality" industry, I will not use any of your hotels oraffiliates again (nor will any of my friends or family)! Life happens tothe best laid plans--you, as a service provider, need to learn this andbecome more flexible and understanding in your "policies"!

Review 64:The location, easy to drive about , centrally located

Review 65:They called our room like 10 times to try to get us to buy into their time share, it was creepy. The room had zero view and was kind of dark. The walls were really thin, and I think our next door neighbor went on a run at 5:45am (the sun was coming up) but it was super annoying to hear "Jerry! Jerry!" as they clearly only had one key and kept knocking on their door to get in - between 6 and 8 am! Also, other than the great Firecreek cafe, there is very limited food options in the village of Oak Creek, and Sedona is about a 30 min drive away so it felt pretty isolated.

Review 66:I liked how we were closer to Bell Rock and a lot of good hiking. The room was clean.

Review 67:They should have made it clear at check in that because this is a timeshare building, rooms are not cleaned daily. We didn't get our coffee supplies restocked because of it. The showerhead was pretty terrible. The hallway where our room was located had a very unpleasant smell over the three nights that we stayed.

Review 68:1. Your listing was as a "hotel", but you lack ordinary hotel services. 2. Rooms not cleaned daily. 3. Towels, etc. not supplied daily. 4. No eating facilties. 5. Broken, unfixable, air conditioner 6. Your ad doesn't mention that you are miles south of central Sedona

Review 69:Good weather

Review 70:Didn't love that I had to pay a daily fee for internet or resort fee.

Review 71:I loved everything about the site and the apartment was very spacious. Full kitchen and everything I needed was there. I was able to sit back and relax.

Review 72:Enjoyed our stay. Did not appreciate the hard sell from staff trying to have us buy into the group. We will never buy into a group like this. Our life style does not meet the group. I would also appreciate that you take name off of your call list. Not going to happen.

Review 73:Facility was great. Well maintained and staff willing to help.

Review 74:I booked a non refundable trip but when I asked to switch days they flat out refused so I could only stay one of the two nights. Non refundable does not mean transferable.

Review 75:The room was clean but outdated, the bathroom was less than desired and there was no patio. I felt crowded.

Review 76:The bait and switch routine. Booked a room and was given a room not equal to booking. Given a handicapped room with no tub or services. Shower was not working properly, and handicap shower stall was dirty. Was not notified of no services upon check in, not until inquiry the next day. Request was necessary however was not told so. No breakfast either.

Review 77:Some amenities within the room, and concierge was helpful and knew when not to push the sale of timeshare.

Review 78:Inn was comfortable & very adequate (wasn't looking for upscale). I realized I had left my cellphone on way back to Calif. Called front desk & it was sent overnight by FedEx. I was very appreciative of support (Shawn ? - male).

Review 79:It was very important to me that I have a room with a view. I was expecting a view of the rock formations rather than the pool, however upon walking the property, I realized that the rooms with formation views also overlooked the street. So grateful the Bell Rock staff had the "peaceful factor" in mind for me!

Review 80:This is a timeshare resort and they miss no opportunity to sell sell sell. I found the concierge services useless - just more thinly disguised promotion.

Review 81:Location is excellent.

Review 82:they need to replace the bed in this room 137. the shower floor either needed cleaned or replace the grout.

Review 83:Loved the pool area and the patio off the room. Very nice and cozy.

Review 84:We chose the Bell Rock because of the beautiful grounds. Studio suites were all booked, so we thought we would splurge and reserved a 1 bedroom suite. To our disappointment we overlooked the street - no view of the lovely pool and grounds, and the suite was not at all cozy. We asked to move but was told there was nothing available. We certainly did not feel we got our money's worth.

Review 85:Comfortable bed

Review 86:The check out time is 10 am, which is not in line with hotels of similar type. Also, it is a part of Diamond Resorts and they try to sell you timeshares when you arrive, during your stay and when you leave.

Review 87:The accommodations are very well maintained.

Review 88:I had no bad experience personally I could help but overhear theconcierge behave in a discourteous manner with another quest. Her heavyhanded sales approach was offensive. I believe I was left alone becauseI had made it completely clear that I was not interested in any salespitches of any kind prior to my arrival.Advanced Search Search

Review 89:Fairly quiet. Room fine. Staff at front desk nice courteous and caring.

Review 90:Constant (daily) calls from the staff, so I could claim my "free" gift (read: some discount provided I sat through a long timeshare presentation). If not in the room, they left a message. Very hard sell, which turned an otherwise excellent stay into an OK one.

Review 91:Second year in a row staying at this property. Great rooms, very clean and comfortable. Beautiful view of the Bell Rock, and easy to get to the center of Sedona.

Review 92:From the time of reservation to check out it was the most annoying experience I have ever had. It was old, dirty and inconvenient. The policy to put a $100.00 hold on credit card is unnecessary and I received at least 5 separate phone calls verifying my reservation .

Review 93:The bed

Review 94:The outside stairwells did not make sense, particularly in the rain. How does the absence of elevators comport with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)?

Review 95:The size and overall comfort of the room

Review 96:After mentioning they did not come to service room as schedule at mid point of our stay, had to request garbage removal and they only did what was left on the counter (the kitchen overflow didn't fit in garbage can).

Review 97:The sourounding views are magnificant! The convenience of the BBQ and pool.

Review 98:I booked a month and a half ahead of time. I have been there beforeasked for a view of bellrock and they said they couldn't provideit in a studio. Then Call me back and tell me! They told me when Ichecked in!

Review 99:The room itself is very nice, large, bed, large tv, pull out couch, bathroom the structure of the room is nice, but no room service unlessyou are in the time share!

Review 100:The Diamond Resort group who fancys themselves to be hotshot hotel players recently purchased the hotel and imposed items such as: 10:00 check out! (whoever heard of a 10:00 check-out? and you have to pay $25.00 to extend the time). They also put a $100 hold on your card (what for I do not know) which was not released for about 6 days after we checked out. Also there were almost no electrical outlets in our unit. There is maid service 2x a week. We go to Sedona often but will NEVER stay here again.

Review 101:This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and while the rooms are quite different inside, the facility is clean, well maintained and very comfortable. We did not use the gym but the pool is great & the staff friendly. I think it is a little overpriced but still worth the extra $$'s

Review 102:The pool and the hot tub were a little chillier than we are used to. I did not like that they tried (both by phone and in person) to get us to go to a presentation about their timeshares. A little on the pushy side.

Review 103:It was convenient to get around to the places where we wanted to visit, yet we weren't in the thick of the downtown crowds. The room was very comfortable and pleasant

Review 104:Avoid the timeshare sales pitch if you can (the consierge desk) The cost far exceeds the value.

Review 105:Lovelth spot well south of Sedona central. Shot ride down 179 to a terrific mountain bike or hiking trail: Bell Rock trail.

Review 106:After checking in, we were greeted by the concierge, who tried very hard to offer us helicopter tours, visa gift cards and even extending our stay at a "deep discount." We were thankful to have been warned about this through other reviews, and had no trouble saying "no thanks" and walking away, as hard as she tried to get us to say yes.

Review 107:Comfortable stay that felt more like an apartment than a hotel, which was perfect for us. The electric fireplace was a nice touch. Very close to some amazing hiking trails. Great options for vegetarians/vegans not too far away- Heart of Sedona coffee shop, Picazzo's organic pizza and Chocola Tree, a health conscious vegetarian restaurant. Other reviewers mentioned an "outdated" feel.. I can see what they mean, but it didn't bother us.

Review 108:Door propped open for cleaning even when cleaning staff were no where to be seen Good thing we hid our valuables!

Review 109:A fine resort hotel with good hot tub and excellent kitchen set up for saving cash.

Review 110:Beginning to show its age, and bed lumpy. Diamond resort unresponsive after checkout. Be sure to get all receipts when you are there. They did not answer emails after the fact. It is easy to avoid the hard sell mentioned by others: just don't go to the concierge!

Review 111:Nice to be outside of the tourist bustle of Sedona. Close to drive to any of major sites. Many walking trails close to hotel. Room large and comfortable for long stay. Kitchen facilities were good.

Review 112:We had a few kitchen issues -- dishwasher flooded, outlets didn't work on kitchen wall-- but called & things were taken care of immediately

Review 113:Nice grounds & room

Review 114:The resort was in a beautiful location. Staff was extremely friendly and our room was fantastic ..... next time we're back in Sedona we will stay here again.

Review 115:I struggled with the pillows but this is not the hotel fault. Overall there was not much not to like!

Review 116:We liked the staff, the clean and comfortable room and the location.

Review 117:No drawers In studios. If you are staying more than one night you will be frustrated that there is no dresser in the studio (live out of your suitcase - only option). Can't comment on larger units.

Review 118:Great location, good size for a studio.

Review 119:It got warm in the room and we tried to get maintenance to fix air conditioning but to no avail. Thank goodness there was a overhead fan.

Review 120:The studio room was like a suite. A pleasant surprise.

Review 121:Took way too long to check in. Most questions asked were available on our credit card before we arrived.

Review 122:Nice location & room appointments were good

Review 123:Did not appreciate the concierge trying to sell us a timeshare for 30 minutes. All we wanted was to find the location of the famous vortex's and a decent place to dine. She was relentless.

Review 124:The view from our room, the comfortable bed and kitchenette, heated tub and pool.

Review 125:The pressure timeshare pressure was annoying. We just wanted to go to bed and I had already declined the timeshare session on the phone. Also, I prefer not to be addressed as Mrs. when checking in.

Review 126:Our room was clean and comfortable and it was in a good location.

Review 127:Horrible large red stain on carpet. Very noise. We could hear every step they took upstatis. Twice during our 3 day stay both our room keys would not work. We had to wait to be let into the unit and get new keys.

Review 128:Location was good

Review 129:It is a timeshare so you will be approached about purchasing into Diamond Resorts. We made it clear we weren't interested and were not bothered anymore.

Review 130:It was clean, comfortable and felt almost like home.

Review 131:None

Review 132:We had really good time in Sedona, it was perfect for 2 days trip, red rocks and clear snow on the ground. Just beautiful as it's possible. Resort was just perfect place,we had a good time.

Review 133:The room was very noisy from hearing other guests by voices and when they showered it felt like they were in our room. The heater would make strange noise like a alarm clock and the fridge was very noisy. Would not recommend

Review 134:The closeness of everything

Review 135:The front desk staff were unprofessional and seemed under-trained. Sheila was not willing or able (?) to help our clerk who seemed new or under-trained with the details of a detangling a somewhat confusing mixup in room rates at check-in. And the lady with the timeshare hard sell was a definite turn-off.

Review 136:The rooms themselves and all the amenities like the fireplaces in the studios, the chess set and ping-pong table, pool and spa outside.

Review 137:Did not accommodate my pet request at first. Went to the hot tub at 9am and was closed for maintenance

Review 138:Friendly staff, big room, kitchen facilities, convenience to restaurants

Review 139:Concierge was way too pushy about spending time at another Diamond resort. No elevator for 2nd floor.

Review 140:location was perfect, value for $ was excellent, earthquake was a good alarm clock. Overall, a very nice facility!
