Reviews for Poco Diablo Resort
Review 1:I loved that this gem was set just outside of the very busy downtown. We were there to do some hiking/bouldering and after having climbed cathedral rock (which is only 5 minutes from the property), my son and husband enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Our room was spacious and looked out over the garden/pond.
Review 2:This is one of the older resort properties in Sedona and, despite arecent "make-over" it is still not up to par with other venuesin this destination city.
Review 3:Nothing not to like about Sedona, az and the property itself is lovely.
Review 4:The room was dated - it had been redone but still seemed very old and used, and had a stale odor. The "state of the art" health facility was small and crowded. The shower ceiling was very low making it uncomfortable for a tall man, and it appeared to need some cleaning but could have just been the surface (but it seemed gross that close to one's face). Something in the room bothered our allergies.
Review 5:We liked the exceptionally friendly staff (if the staff alone determined satisfaction this would be a perfect review), and room service was good. We especially liked the gluten free friendly options for dining. The beds were very comfortable for a hotel, and the room had a large utilitarian fridge (versus beverage chiller). We had a nice view of the pool.
Review 6:I contacted Cindy Knight after booking the room to see if I could get our room upgraded for my fiance's first Sedona experience. She upgraded our room twice during our stay and helped us plan our hikes as well.
Review 7:The Wedding reception. glad they left before 10pm.
Review 8:The Jacuzzi in the tube in the room, wife could not get enough of it. The in room massage my wife loved. The dinner in the T Carl was yummy great prime rib.
Review 9:Little boy screaming out front on golf course very early. Otherwise, nothing negative.
Review 10:Got in late. Both front desk guys great. Very helpful. Recommended your restaurant, which was very good. Ordered coffee room service next morning and gentleman was amazing. Mario or Morio. Adorable, darling, sweet.
Review 11:Breakfast buffet was awful, coffee in room was poor quality, hair conditioner pump bottle did not work, other little annoying things all with a quite pricey room. Food at wedding reception was marginal.
Review 12:Nice clean quiet room, decent facilities.
Review 13:Far from activities in town there was nothing within walking distance. The room was clean but please when you remodle could you get toilets that are further then 2 ft off the ground! Also the tub was very small and slippery I am 59 and held onto the handicap bar so I wouldn't slip. For the price you really need to add a continental breakfast!
Review 14:Friendly and clean easy parking. Quiet!
Review 15:Had to carry luggage up some stairs to the room. Because of the chalet like construction, You could hear the shower and w.c. In the room adjoining.
Review 16:Staff very friendly and couldn't be more helpful.
Review 17:Everything was great except that we weren't given the option to wait for a table for breakfast outside and a few minutes after we were seated inside several tables outside opened up. We also told our waitress that we had an appointment because our food was not coming out. (We did come to the restaurant about 50 minutes before our appointment, which should be plenty of time to get breakfast!) She kept telling us that it was coming right out. The food did not come out for at least 35 minutes after we ordered it and we didn't even have time to complete our food that we sat so long waiting for!
Review 18:The grounds, rooms, and desk staff were great!
Review 19:The serine views and atmosphere was the perfect backdrop and setup for a relaxing weekend away with my wife for mother's day. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was nice and comfy. The location was a comfortable distance from the hustle and bustle of the exciting downtown Sedona. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 20:Could only get free coffee till 7:00am after that had to purchase. Was on vacation and didn't want to get up that early - so thought that was a little cheesy!
Review 21:It's a great location, grounds are delightful and the staff super friendly
Review 22:Abdoultely nothing
Review 23:Loved everything from the views and the golf course to the Restaurant and Bar/Lounge.. This is my favorite resort to stay at when I visit Sedona for the weekenes
Review 24:Nothing really, just seems like an "older" property and could use some updating. Fountain right outside of our room drained and firepit "out of order". Would have been nice if these had been operatable.
Review 25:Staff friendly, well kept golf course, great location
Review 26:Parking is not so good! Place was packed on Saturday night , I had to park quite a distance from the room.
Review 27:The grounds have a golf course and it is very nice landscaping! The rooms and hotel are nice buildings!
Review 28:Price was a little high but everything else in the area was booked so we had no other option.
Review 29:The staff was amazing and very accomodating, the booking.com sold us an oversold room, but the staff manager gave us their very last no publicized room they had available. We loved sitting at the bar talkingwith the staff as we ate dinner. Very professional.
Review 30:Not a big deal, but there are not a lot of places to walk outside the resort.
Review 31:I liked pretty much everything. It's the best sleep I've ever had at a hotel/resort. Very quiet.
Review 32:Walls were thin, which was a bummer because we had loud talkative neighbors.
Review 33:All staff were friendly and helpful - front desk staff, housekeeping, restaurant staff. Great food at the restaurant, large clean rooms, great beds and bedding.
Review 34:Absolutely nothing!
Review 35:Poca Diablo is a wonderful place to stay. Everything you need is on site, tennis, golf, swimming, gym and a hot tub too! Great staff and service, good food, and only a short trip to Sedona central. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
Review 36:The room was very comfortable and the food is fabulous. We ordered room service and the filet mignon was the best I've had! We also enjoyed a great breakfast buffet. The resort is close to trails.
Review 37:I booked a deluxe room at booking.com rate and got a standard room for the same price, because deluxe rooms were out. Not a good way to treat a customer
Review 38:Cleanliness
Review 39:For the cost, I would have expected better cosmetics. There were, for example, holes in the exterior adobe that could have been fixed. Pipes beneath bathroom counters could've been hidden by the use of cabinets. At $100 a night these things don't matter so much, but at twice that I expected a bit more.
Review 40:A very friendly, and quiet, place. Located about 3 miles south of Sedona and 4 miles North of Oak Creek Village, it provides convenient access to both, and to the hiking and biking trails in that area.
Review 41:Unfortunately, a wedding/reception was booked for the same weekend. Needless to say, sleep wasn't as peaceful as we had hoped. The reception wad supposed to end at 10pm but continued until 10:20pm. This property doesn't have a separate facility to host this event & had the back patio as its venue which exposed other guests to its festivities.
Review 42:Beautiful property and the staff id exceptionally helpful!!!
Review 43:Room is a bit dark.
Review 44:Our receptionist was very accommodating to our preferences and abilities. We had thw desired views without the hassle of downtown Sedona or Oak Creek Village. Didnt check out the amenities, sadly. But felt quite comfortable. The room was a bit dark, but Spacious and well appointed. Tired of getting double accommodations with seating arrangements for one. place to sit.
Review 45:The rugs in the rooms were a bit worn; otherwise the room itself, to include the bathrobes were very nice.
Review 46:Appreciated the courteous staff; location and cleanliness of the pool and surrounding shared areas. It's a pet friendly establishment that is well maintained.
Review 47:The views were great. I enjoyed being a bit on the outskirts of town. The golf course was cute. The manager of the hotel put us in an available suite because we were a young couple. She was really nice and the whole experience was great. It's a little bit of an older hotel, but well kept, clean and charming.
Review 48:too expensive with 'too old styled' room
Review 49:Rooms are outdated and noisy (could hear neighbors at night / in the morning) Restaurant food was mediocre.
Review 50:Very nice staff
Review 51:It was amazing! Our room was clean and beautiful. The food was delicious, I will book a room again. It was excellent.
Review 52:Wish all rooms had a great view.
Review 53:Beautiful grounds.
Review 54:Overall experience was excellent. Very friendly staff. Excellent food and service in restaurant .
Review 55:Room was located below the main hotel level. This is a problem for mature couples. Lots of stairs & steep Ramps.
Review 56:Bathroom vent did not work and was not fixed
Review 57:Helpful staff, large rooms wonderful toiletries!

Review 104:All staff are so friendly and kind. Their facilities are good quality and clean. Everything is satisfied with all my family member. Nice view, good location, high quality room.
Review 105:Room service was a bit pricey but I suppose that's to be expected.
Review 106:The room was impecible. The bed was comfortable. The room was extremely clean. It was generally very quiet and peaceful. The scenery is also pretty nice. I would stay again.
Review 107:This is an older property and while the place is very well maintained it is still older. I would come back here no problem because the staff was so nice and the overall experience was very good
Review 108:Really great location tucked about 3 mi from uptown Sedona. Staff could not have been more helpful and the grounds are very nice. Cute little golf course but if you are looking for a real course this is it it. Each hole is under 75 yards but cute and in good condition
Review 109:1st night-room service did not have dessert ordered on hand. Poe size of TV. Inadequate choices on TV. Slow/poor internet reception. No offer to help with luggage. 2nd morning received wake up calls at 0530am and 0600am. These calls we're not requested. No information on how to check out.
Review 110:The staff made several mistakes in the bill, they charged something Ialready paid for and missed charging others and had a wrong bookingroom rate.
Review 111:It is quite place to relax. Staff are helpful and can get you from oneplace to another with the cart.
Review 112:I liked evrythng. The food was delicious and the people were friendly and very nice. I will stay at Popodiablo again. Victoria
Review 113:We came to Sedona after the government shutdown required us to change our plan to visit some National Parks. We made the arrangements last minute and in doing so, accidentally entered the wrong check in date to the hotel. When we got to the hotel we realized we had come a day later than our reservation had been made for. Fortunately the staff at Poco Diablo was EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating and kindly changed our reservation to the current date without penalizing us or charging us any additional fees. My mom and I are incredible greatful to Cindy, the front desk manager and all the other staff at the hotel who made our stay so wonderful! It is a fantastic resort and I cannot recommend it enough! The grounds our lovely and it is surround by amazing scenery. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and luxurious, but it was really all the staff that made our stay even more memorable.
