Reviews for Wildflower Inn
Review 1:It has very nice views and the location is excellent. The breakfast included coffee, juice, waffles, bread, butter, jam, spreadable cheese and fruit.
Review 2:Bathroom door didn't stay locked. Water faucet didn't turn off properly.
Review 3:Beautiful views! Not as immediately nice looking exterior as other hotels in Sedona, but was very comfortable, clean, and did I mention the beautiful view? Also, waffles for breakfast!
Review 4:Heater was loud. Breakfast is for those on the go. Don't plan on eating in the lobby.
Review 5:Price was good. Staff was good. Room was clean. No pets was great.
Review 6:The continental breakfast menu was somewhat limited: waffles, bagels, toast, apples, OJ, and coffee. The ice machine was in a room that was often left open to the December weather, with the result that it (the machine itself) froze and could not deliver the ice it had made.
Review 7:Reasonable rates. Friendliness & helpfulness of staff. Quiet rooms, with facilities that all worked well even though the motel has been in business for some time. Nice Thai restaurant just around the corner.
Review 8:Only problem was I could hear person above on and off all night walking across room
Review 9:Night time check in was smooth, very helpful front desk worker. Had free continental breakfast, including waffle iron. Clean room great rate for a Saturday night right after a holiday. Would definitely stay again! I don't travel w pets and I don't smoke so if that applies to you, take that into consideration, as no pets or smoking is allowed in rooms. Room had fridge, microwave, coffee maker , and a little basket with snacks. Not sure if there was a charge for snacks as we did not take any. Room had jacuzzi tub by King bed, as well as regular tub/shower in with toilet.
Review 10:The room was not clean. Comforter was very nasty and the hot tub haddirt in the bottom. The breakfast area only had waffles left at 9:00.The bread/bagel area was empty and so was the fruit basket. Empty. Idid have the front desk get the owner on the phone and he seemedconcerned and committed to address the issues.
Review 11:Antonio was very nice at the front desk and helpful.
Review 12:I had booked the room and within two hours attempted to cancel due to a family emergency. After contacting the hotel, they were unable to refund my purchase, stating that I needed to call the manager the next day to have my cancellation considered. I felt pressured into keeping the reservation and left a bad taste in my mouth.
Review 13:Walking outside to the amazing views! The room also had a giant jetted tub that was amazing to relax in! The bed was very comfortable as well.
Review 14:the breakfast was a bit sparse. would like a bit of fresh fruit and perhaps individual boxes of cold cereal.
Review 15:it was a surprise to have the Jacuzzi tub in the main room but it turned out to be just fine. everything was good.
Review 16:A balcony would have been nice but they have fireplaces and tubs instead!
Review 17:Very nice job done on the refurbishment. They have fireplaces or garden tubs! Great location just outside of Sedona. Convenient in and out. Wonderful staff. easy access to rooms. Easy park. nice breakfast
Review 18:There was nothing I disliked at this hotel. But I would make a few suggestions. First, that eventually all rooms should have refrigerators & microwaves (hikers like to pack along their own water bottles to keep cold & parents like to bring other food & drinks for kiddos). Also, I would suggest the addition of softer bread options (bagels are hard & chewy). Lastly, it would have been nice to see at least hard boiled eggs and/or yogurts on the breakfast menu--to add protein, there were none the weekend we were there (& I thought I read somewhere they had boiled eggs included in their continental breakfast)--anyway, they could be set in an ice tray on top of the reception counter (to encourage folks not to take more than their share), and if a matter of covering the cost, most folks wouldn't mind a few extra dollars on the rate to have them. Just a thought.
Review 19:For this level of hotel, it gets all of its stars. Newly remodeled & pleasing environment, easy location near all attractions but not in middle of crowded touristy areas, continental breakfast included awesome waffles, my room had a refrigerator & microwave (not offered in all rooms currently), air/heating control in-room and worked excellent, and room even came with 2 free bags of snack pretzels. Other typical items: shower stuff/soaps, coffee maker, blow dryer, & ironing were all available and satisfactory. I've read other people's comments somewhere about the hard beds, but I will say they are brand new, and due to the fact that our beds may be too soft at home, we appreciated the firm support! I don't have pics available to post, but can tell you that hotel is surrounded by awesome views & within minutes of hiking trails. Also, the room looked exactly as pictured on booking site, so there were no disappointments. The staff was super nice & helped with all of my questions about the area, they kept hot coffee & teas throughout day & evening in office, and housekeeping was great. Immediate walking area (less than a minute) includes a cafe, pizza-bar joint next door (great service & food there), circle-K, and a hardware store, and other shops (but can't recall what those were).
Review 20:WI-FI WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH FOR A GOOD CONNECTION
Review 21:EXCELLENT STAFF - THANKS TO MARGARITA AND ALEN, BOTH WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE WITH INFO ON THINGS TO DO AND PLACES TO EAT ETC... WE STAYED FOR ONE WEEK PERFECT LOCATION - REASONABLE RATES - CLEAN - GOOD SHOWER WATER PRESSURE - BREAKFAST
Review 22:people were outside smoking most of the time. We could hear them in our room and when I stepped outside to take pictures the door opened and our room smelled of smoke. We would have like to be sitting outside also, but could not because of them.
Review 23:The location is great. The staff were friendly.
Review 24:The bath tub drain had to be taken care of, slow draining. Alan at the front desk took care of it for us as soon as we mentioned it. Shelf in bath room looked as though it was going to fall off. Room #111. All in all excellent stay thank you!!!
Review 25:The views and accessibility to surrounding areas.
Review 26:Some one partied on and off all night. I overheard one of them asking , how did you get a key. We got a bad night's sleep to say the least. I cancelled the next night because of this. The desk said no one was in that room. They were wrong. Something fishy !
Review 27:I didn't like that they just had basic cable. Also the wifi connection was that great. It would cut on and off.
Review 28:I liked the way the room was modeled. It was very modern and classy. The room was very clean and set up nice. The staff was very nice, arrived a little after 10 and Alan was nice enough to wait!
Review 29:Very pleasant! I was traveling alone. I felt safe and attended to by the staff front desk. Room was impeccably clean. I would definitely go back again. I highly recommend this hotel.
Review 30:Cannot comment about the other rooms but we wanted kitchen facilities so booked what was called the suite. The kitchen lack basics such as cereal bowls, dinner plates, dish towels and corkscrew. There was a constant low frequency electrical hum that we couldn't trace. The only window overlooked a back alley and there were protruding carpet tacks. One of the bedside tables was falling off the wall and the cot was returned as it was so uncomfortable.
Review 31:The staff were helpful and thoughtful. They adjusted the final bill as wifi was not available for Apple devices for two days.
Review 32:Wifi was poor to start, and then later none at all. Call to the office said they were on the phone to the provider
Review 33:good location, comfortable room, nice big Jaccuzzi
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:As advertised, a friendly and courteous staff, great housekeeping. Good surroundings and quiet. A clean and comfortable room, great bed and 5 minutes to the ocean sunsets.
Review 36:The lavatory faucet was broken and we had to use the shower one.
Review 37:The staff is great, we had problems with internet, they did their best to hesl us. We had some problems with the water in the room, they did 20 USD of discount Also the breakfast was very good
Review 38:Breakfast dining was limited to either taking to your room or having it outside with minimal table seatings. Minimal continental breakfast offerings as typically expected.
Review 39:Extra-large king size sweet with gas fireplace. 2nd Floor room with majestic view of "Red Rock". Very clean. Excellent value and perfect location for viewing the scenery. High recommend to any new visitors. Best Hotel location. You will not be disappointed. Best viewing location in the Red Rock Canyon.
Review 40:It is NOT in Sedona, it is six miles away to the South in Oak Creek. It takes about 12 minutes to drive to Sedona, then you need to find parking.
Review 41:The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Review 42:Kind of got lost trying to find the place I was expecting to see wild flowers are yellow flowers instead I see a red one and the name was poorly done on the sign could have passed up very easily went to some type of website define it however it was a booking location it didn't give the phone number and I had to spend cancer monit I'm trying to find the phone number in the booking agency they should have their phone number available so I could talk to them room was clean look good however did show some maturity of being old kind of the seventies look but it was clean and it was quiet would go back again
Review 43:Far from where most of the attractions for Sedona are. After check in was told our room had partial view of the red rocks even though motel had vacancies. No dresser in room to put our clothes for the 3 day stay. Continental breakfast worth missing. Our room wasn't cleaned as someone turned the sign to do not disturb. Not pleased at all with this motel not an inn.
Review 44:Not much. Cut our stay there because of no amenities.
Review 45:No pets allowed. I'm glad I didn't bring my dog cause I didn't know there were no pets allowed til I checked in.
Review 46:Good location. Nice staff. Comfortable beds.
Review 47:Wifi sketchy or non-existent in room. Refridgerator did not work even after staff fixed it. Not enough coffee in room. Too weak coffee in breakfast room.
Review 48:Clean. Pleasant staff during check in.
Review 49:Upon arrival had to have my room changed. We were quite a distance from the main part of town. The open room sink and counter is very inconvenient and lacks privacy. They charge my banking account 2 days before I arrived. I paid them in cash in advance and I still had to contact them to remove charges on my account.
Review 50:They were courteous and assisting. There were a number of good eating locations, stores and gas stations nearby. As well as good views of the rocks.
Review 51:The included breakfast layout was in the small lobby, with seating outdoors. This works in the dry season, but could be uncomfortable in the winter.
Review 52:The motel was easy to locate and was adjacent to food establishments. It was tastefully decorated and clean for a mid-60s type building.
Review 53:The breakfast options were limited
Review 54:The views from the room were fantastic. It was in a great location in Sedona. It was really useful having the washer and dryer
Review 55:The breakfast was awful, bagels, waffle, juice and coffee & tea. The 2nd day we got apples. That was it, no really healthy choices. No mini refrigerator, no microwave, noisy at night.
Review 56:The price, clean rooms, excellent staff, parking, easy trip into Sedona.
Review 57:Cigarette buts all by the lookout balcony. It is unclean for kids, so we did not get to enjoy it. Add cereal and milk to breakfast would be nice for kids.
Review 58:Staff was great. Hotel overlooked bell rock. Location was convient.overall experience was really good.
Review 59:Everything e crept the view and the bed. The fireplace didn't work and the staff is horrible. A bunch of crack addicts
Review 60:The view wish we could of seen it from our bed with privacy,
Review 61:It was a little on the expensive side for me. I needed two beds but I think a lot of things are overpriced. It was clean though and the room was nice.
Review 62:the location by Bell rock vortex
Review 63:The fact that there wasn't any staff after 1030 and the hotel wascompletely booked. We didn't realize there weren't covers on thepull out bed until about an hour after we were there and when we calledabout it someone was very rude to us about having to drive 45 mins toget us blankets. Other than that everything was good
Review 64:The views from the room were awesome. The place was clean and the staffwas mostly nice.
Review 65:Coffee and creamers were excellent. The area outside to enjoy the area was nice and spacious. Bell rock was right across the street! We were able to walk the trail from our room.
Review 66:No telephone service all week. Internet not reliable. Clothes dryer did not dry because vent pipe was completely clogged - hadn't been cleaned out for years.
Review 67:Location, great view, friendly staff
Review 68:The only real disappointment was there was no dresser in any of the rooms. We stayed there for a week and had to live out of our suitcases. I would recommend the management try to find a way to put a better clothes storage in. If you are only staying a day or two this isn't a problem but when you are staying for an entire week...not so much.
Review 69:The staff was very accommodating. We stayed during monsoon season and on our 3rd night the ceiling started to leak during a terrible rain storm. We called the front desk and they immediately came up and offered to move us to a room on the first floor. I feel they bent over backwards to make sure our stay was comfortable.
Review 70:Breakfast was disappointing with only waffles, fruit, and bagels. Viewing deck was too bright to enjoy star gazing.
Review 71:Staff was friendly. Shannon even shared her ghost tour pictures with us. She was very helpful.
Review 72:Nowhere to place clothing (ie no dresser) and 2nd bed that was brought in was in very poor condition (we had to use sofa cushions as a mattress). Sofa was very dirty (arm-wrests were extremely soiled).
Review 73:Location was excellent - nice views from the property.
Review 74:It is a bit of a drive with several roundabouts to go thru on the way to the main 'downtown' Sedona area. But not bad......
Review 75:The Wildflower Inn is a 2 story 'motel' type Inn (all rooms are accessed from the outside) located in 'The Village' that has a gorgeous view from all rooms. The outdoor seating on both levels has tables and chairs so that you can enjoy the view at any time of the day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There are several great places to eat within walking distance from the Inn - Blue Moon Cafe, Red Rock Cafe and an chinese place that I cannot remember the name of.
Review 76:They were struggling to get their Internet working in the rooms.
Review 77:This darling B & B reminds me of the wonderful European B & B's we stayed at! It's a bit worn but comfortable and the staff are beyond charming! Loved the breakfast and the pub attached!!!
Review 78:Lighting is bad for reading. Would be nice to have little frig in warm Az. Breakfast was just bagels and juice and waffle machine that was not appealing. Skipped breakfast the second day. Staff was not friendly.
Review 79:Location was excellent with great view of the mts. I liked being out of the downtown crowds. Bed and pillows were great. Freshly painted. Very plain but if you are out of your room most of the time, it is fine. Room 113 will give you a nice lower view of the red rock but 2nd floor will be better.Tara Thai restaurant was good as was the pizza place with wings within walking distance from motel and Circle K.Dont' miss the Chapel of the Holy Cross on the way to town.- magnificent views- and the viewing area on the way to the airport on Highway 89.
Review 80:The only breakfast options were apples, waffles, bagels, or toast. I would have liked some more options
Review 81:Very clean, recently renovated, great views, walking distance to restaurants and convenience store and walking trails, comfy bed, nice toitetries.
Review 82:We only had a 2 night stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 83:The view from our balcony was astounding! Our room had a small couch where we sat looking out the window at the fabulous view. The room was very clean and the bed was fantastic! We loved our stay! Especially the Thai restaurant just steps away from our room!
Review 84:The breakfast was not very good. There was only one waffle maker & to many people for the size of the lobby.
Review 85:The location of our room was very good. We could view the mountains at sunset.
Review 86:Laundry broken, Wi-Fi was down, staff pleasant but did not fave good restaurant recommendations SMOKERS ALLOWED to smoke in no smoking posted areas
Review 87:View is incredible!!
Review 88:I paid cash upon arrival and was only subjected to a $20 hold fee. After we checked out the next day I checked my bank account and saw that they'd charged my card even though I'd paid cash the day before and the front desk clerk marked my invoice as paid. I called about it, and the guy who answered practically battled me about it. He had to eventually call me back to inform me that my card would be refunded immediately.
Review 89:Location, location, location.
Review 90:View of bell mtn and other buttes was great Bed was very comfortable and clean. Could view mountains from couch in room. Nice viewing deck with a double swing.....lovely Tub big enough to soak in
Review 91:Plumbing fixtures didn't work perfectly....but we managed
Review 92:Our hostess Shannon was amazing!! She saw in my notes that my wife and I and another couple were coming to spend time in Sedona for our anniversaries. She had champagne and rose pedals scattered throughout both rooms!!!
Review 93:It wasn't a bad experience. The desk was nice. I just felt if I paid $200.00 per night it should have been a little more like a hotel than a hostel.
Review 94:The view of course.
Review 95:The only complaint we had was the very thin, 1-ply toilet paper. We would stay here again.
Review 96:Nice, quiet place to stay. Clean and very comfortable. The desk clerk was very nice and helpful.
Review 97:I loved my stay at this hotel! I want to thank Margarita (the woman at reception) who made my stay even more comfortable! She recommended me to visit many nice places in Sedona and I am very thankful to her. In fact, the room was very clean, staff was friendly and hospitable. What else could I ask for? Thank you.
Review 98:We arrived late at night from a long day of driving, just before the front desk closed. Shannon at the front desk was so sweet and personable and made sure we were more than taken care of! The room was gorgeous (especially for the price), beautiful view, King size bed, and waffles and bagels for breakfast.
Review 99:Any decent hotel opens the office and Has coffee for guests long before 7AM.
Review 100:Cleark was helpful with a change of rooms. The hotel has an especially beautiful view of the red bluffs and hills in the area.
Review 101:The mattress was too hard. My husband and I did not get any sleep. Very disappointed. Breakfast was pretty generic. Waffles and bagels.
Review 102:The vews are amazing, rooms are pretty clean. friendly staff.
Review 103:The location outside of Sedona made for a very quiet and restful experience. The view from our room was amazing. Bell Rock and other formations almost touchable. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was large, very clean and comfortable. We turned on the fireplace for about 2 minutes. Have to come back in January to enjoy that amenity!
Review 104:Located about 6 miles south of Sedona in the Oak Creek area. It is an older hotel that has had considerable rehab work done to improve its facilities. The view from the room or the deck area is of the red rocks that are so prevalent in the area. The deck is a great place to watch the sunset on the rocks.
Review 105:Clean, quiet, great view, & right on hiway into Sedona. Close to shopping & eating. Very reasonably priced. Will stay here again if in Sedona.
Review 106:second floor was only accessible by steps.
Review 107:Beautiful views. Liked the outside patio to view the rocks. Wifi worked very good. Liked the complimentary water and chips upon arrival.
Review 108:Wifi connection was poor. Minimal breakfast options. Rooms could use updating. If you want luxury, this is not the inn for you. We just wanted a clean place to sleep & shower as we did not intend to spend our waking hours at the inn. This was a less expensive option than most in Sedona.
Review 109:Location -- short drive to many hiking trails & Sedona shopping. Anywhere in Sedona is beautiful.
Review 110:Loved the jetted tub to relax in after a long day. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Refrigerator worked, even refrozen my ice packs. Staff called few hours after check-in to see if I liked the room and if I needed anything.
Review 111:Exceptional value for the price. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Very nice location. We were able to take a nice early morning walk just across the street. We enjoyed our breakfast sitting outside. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through the area.
Review 112:Towels in room very grubby , receptionist reluctant to swap out or even agree that they where substandard. Breakfast area no tables inside for cold weather
Review 113:The view
Review 114:Continental breakfast limited if you don't like bagels.
Review 115:Friendly staff, large comfortable room and great location. Good value for money and great scenery. Thanks Will for the friendly welcome and help.
Review 116:we got charged $10 more than paid for and quoted....did not like that....first time I used Booking.com.....and because of that, not sure that I will use again.
Review 117:Beautiful views....and front desk person, a really nice woman who had only been there for 2 months at the time of our visit.....she bent over backwards to please not just us....but all she dealt with.
Review 118:1. View, we were put in a room on the first floor that looked right into cement steps and we were not given an opportunity to get a different room when other rooms were available. 2. Room had an old musty smell, furnishings were old and not maintained and bathroom needed to be updated and shower cauked. 3. Final bill was three to four dollars higher than what Booking.com reported ...not a big deal but no explanation was provided. 4. Male receptionist was rude and had an attitude.
Review 119:Breakfast was OK.
Review 120:Cancelled prior to property police sure to bedbugs at location and not in Sedona. REFTSED to refund even though we cancelled early. Beware, stay away
Review 121:The wifi was free, but very spotty. I had to try different locations around the facility to get a good enough signal to upload my beautiful Sedona pics. My redo would be to stay off the computer and just enjoy Sedona!
Review 122:Hotel is close to hiking and walking distance to plenty of eateries in the Village of Oak Creek. It's location is right on the border of the National Park trail system. The layout of the hotel faces a beautiful view. The price was great. The room was large, had a microwave, fridge. They provided continental breakfast and had a waffle maker. Great place for a short stay in Sedona. Bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby.
Review 123:Breakfast very basic, but did have waffles. Small parking lot which fills up at night. Towels a bit thin, small bathroom
Review 124:Great location in Oak Creek Village (just south of Sedona and quieter), lots of restaurants in area (Cucina Rustica excellent), magnificent views of red rock formations just outside the door or nearby. Welcome basket of water, popcorn, chips in room.
Review 125:Breakfast limited and self service in the motel reception.
Review 126:Very comfortable bed Clean and spacious room. Great views of Bell Rock Close to Sedona Value for money
Review 127:Breakfast wasn't all that great. Fruit would have been nice.
Review 128:Great price with spectacular view. Everything was close and convienent. Room was clean and bed was super comfy. Staff very nice.
Review 129:The facilities needs a upgrade on inside as it is a bit aged. The breakfast wasn't much of a breakfast, but great value in comparison to other hotels
Review 130:Close to hikiing trails, great eating places, quiet location, great views of mountains, very helpful & friiendly staff
Review 131:Wi fi not working when we got up and was not working for 1 or 2 hours. Urgently needed to contact company in Europe, but missed them due to no internet until they went home.
Review 132:No outside lights. Had to go up and down outside stairs leading to second floor in the dark. They got turned on later but too late for my purposes. A/C unit was not working too well.
Review 133:The view from our balcony. Rooms were very clean.
Review 134:The beds are super hard. There were a few things in the room that could be spiffed up a bit. Probably time to buy fluffier towels for the rooms.
Review 135:The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They cheerfully stored a few items in their fridge in the office. This is a cute motel property--with an M, i.e. outside doors -- charming throwback feel. Continental breakfast + waffles. A good rate for Sedona. Easy drive into town. (Note that this is NOT in the town-ey part of Sedona.) Motel is located right at the trailhead of Bellrock trail for fantastic hiking. Reliable Wi-Fi.
