Reviews for Lotus Garden Cottages
Review 1:Self-catering facilities were limited.
Review 2:We stayed for 2 nights. This was unusual, but very charming and comfortable, accommodation, in an entrancing rain-forest setting. (It did rain quite a lot, as well!) Spotlessly clean, and delicious breakfasts. Well placed for the Volcano National Park, by car at least.
Review 3:Breakfast was not just beautiful but every morning was different (even the type of fruit that we had). I loved the coffee / hot water machine, the calf massager in the room, the fireplace for the rainforest weather and of course the beautiful hot tub.
Review 4:Location is close to volcano national park, but there's not much around it. If you do not drive a car, it is not so convenient here. It is like a resort place.
Review 5:Mr Kim was very very nice and helpful when we stayed there. We really appreciate his help. This place is absolutely divine. I love the asian style to its design and decor. Every little touch is so beautiful. Breakfast was refreshing too, with lots of fruits. Bed is extremely soft and comfort to sleep in. You would just wish to stay-in all day to enjoy the beauty of it.
Review 6:The room was quite small and not a cottage at all. It was adjoining the office and there was a builder making renovations right outside our room. The other two rooms on the property appeared to be much more private and as described in the property description in the booking.com add- but ours was not. Felt a bit ripped off for the price we paid. Steps and path around Jacuzzi were mossy and extremely slippery. I nearly fell and my husband did fall. Property owner did not seem too concerned when it was mentioned about the danger. We were very polite about it, not just complaining for the sake of it. This was our last stop in Hawaii before going home and I had hoped it was going to be a last little indulgence to relax but it did not meet my expectations. But Hawaii was still fantastic!
Review 7:Great Breakfast. Good location. Lovely garden atmosphere. Nicely decorated.
Review 8:- the room we stayed was the signature room, it was very warm and comfortable, however the furniture took a lot of space and made it a bit challenging to accommodate two open suitcases.
Review 9:- breakfast in bed - Location was great with 5 mins drive to the Volcanic national park. - The owner was very welcoming.
Review 10:We have nothing but positives to report.
Review 11:We loved our cottage in the trees, the owner John, the hospitality, the breakfast on our deck, the setting, and the emphasis on privacy.
Review 12:We thoroughly everything about Lotus Cottage. Our only change in strategy would have been to stay one or two night(s) of our six night trip in Kailua-Kona, as the trip back to Volcano at night requires high levels of attention to navigate the dark and winding road. However, seeing the sky glow from Kilauea's crater on the way back to Volcano was a nice reward.
Review 13:Volcano is the perfect location for accessing Kilauea and the southern and eastern parts of the Big Island. We chose to stay at Lotus Garden Cottages for the entirety of our trip and couldn't be happier with John, the Aloha Moon Cottage, and the wonderful setting. You truly wake up in paradise every morning. The town of Volcano has several great places to dine, as well.
Review 14:A neighborhood dog did a little nocturnal barking for a short period.
Review 15:Songbirds everywhere! The kitchen was a surprise, with 1/2 and 1/2 instead of creamer.
Review 16:- breakfast was mostly muffins and carb heavy; no protein, e.g. eggs
Review 17:- location close to Volcano National Park - very friendly staff - nice interior (Japanese style) - quiet - tropical setting - personal touch
Review 18:There was no AC but it was not a major factor since it got rather cool at night.
Review 19:The breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. The TV received a huge number of stations and Wifi worked great.
Review 20:Nothing to tell
Review 21:Everything, the breakfast, the location and cleanliness. Very quiet and perfect to relax
Review 22:The place was comfy and cozy. John was the best host and he makes yummy breakfasts with a wonderful assortment of fruit.
Review 23:Fantastic breakfast each morning with fresh fruit, quiche, muffins. Beautiful rooms. Very relaxing.
Review 24:Absolutely nothing!,
