Review 1：It was dirty. The microwave had a dirty used plate and melted cheese inside and outside. The frig was dirty. The carpets were almost black. The pillow were sinks and lumpy. The pillowcases were dirty with Spots. All the hard surfaces were dirty wth dried on food or drink. The bathroom was surprisingly the cleanest beside the mold all around the window. I went to the front desk to complain and he did seem concerned about the microwave and frig but told me that, "you did rent a hotel named 'Budget Inn' and it's the oldest cheapest hotel out of a 100 in Durango, what do you expect?" I get it but just cause you're cheaper (we paid $72 a night) doesn't give you the right to be nasty and ok with it! We are now in another hotel (quality inn) and are paying $69+tax and it is clean and updated with a pool and hot tub....seems weird to me...

Review 3：We had a late check in, they left our key at the mail box which was ok, but they did not include the wifi code. Try calling the office but no answer. Bathroom was not clean, they sink was dirty & gross. Requested a downstairs room as I had my grandma with me who can't do stairs but got an upstairs room instead. The door did not lock properly, you have to really pull it in to lock.

Review 6：The room smelled old and musty. There was rat feces between bed and night stand. The carpeting was so filty it turned socks black. Floor was warped and couldn't open fridge door without leaning entire fridge back. There was really nothing to like. Ads were way off!

Review 7：The clerk was too busy texting and made us wait for him to finish his conversation before helping us. The office was very unsanitary and had an overwhelming cigarette odour . We didn't even stay due to the poor service and lack of cleanliness.

Review 9：The Budget Inn, Durango, Colorado was a very affordable motel that holdsa sleazy ambiance with a tiny courtyard parking area. The only outdoorsitting offered was the closed and covered pool area. Minimuminformation was available from front desk on Services like Cabs, transitand a real knowledge of what the locals do... Hotel needs some updatingand sterilization, otherwise it could be a killer place. Location rocksif you don’t mind walking and you can handle a 1 mile radius of walking(up and down hills, throughout the town). I would go back and stay againfor the same price I paid. Really wasn’t there to hang out in the hotel,so it was doable for what I spent and for the length of stay. If youjust want a place to have a “locker” and lay down for a little while andget back to it. This is your place.

Review 10：The Budget Inn, Durango, Colorado is located within a 10 minute radialwalk of Grocery, Shopping, Dining, Drinks, Social Life, Coffee Shops,and a Pizza House. 10 Minute Drive to the other side of town and someHang Outs with cool Scenery. Then from there takes about 3 minutesnorth and your out of town, and the beginning of the scenic drive toSilverton and Ouray. This is a Must – expect 44 miles to take about 3to 5 hours up the mountain and 3 hours back down to really enjoy allthe stops/pictures/and some awesome views (make sure you bringdrink and snacks). The Budget Inn is a good start, I didn't spend awhole lot of money on the motel, and yes, it was low grade to the pointit made me go out and enjoy Durango, Colorado. Great Time, Great Town.If you don't really care and just want a place to lay down, greatplace to stay!

Review 12：The price seemed right, but then I discovered there was no breakfast and I could stay in a nicer place that had breakfast and thus was equal to what I paid for the Budget Inn plus breakfast.

Review 13：The Lice, the Scabbie Mites, the smell. The resultant $250 medication bill, becoming HIGHLY CONTAGEOUS. W are you people thinking. It was a nightmare !

Review 15：Carpet very dirty and grimy, beds are horrible. Shower would change from Hot to cold. Air Conditioner did not work. I had management come in, and they said they would send maintenance, but never came.

Review 17：I think there were bed bugs. We felt crawling on our skin all night. No bug bites but just to make sure we put everything in a bag and wash before we got to the next hotel. It would also be nice to have a latch on the door for security even when shut it felt like anyone could walk in. And the air conditioning was very loud I guess it was good to drown or any outside noise.

Carpet was so dirty we were afraid to walk barefoot, no remote for the TV..you had to get it from front office. No wash clothes. And all of the other motels were booked so no where to go. This place needs shut down!!!

I called and asked if they had an ironingboard and an iron the morning we checked out and was told they had anironing board I could use but no iron !!?? Review 48：True rathole. Built in the 1940s repainted in 1960. Small and really bad. TV did not work. Old tiny Sears window unit made terrible noise. Do not step on carpet with bare feet. Really bad no tell motel.

Review 81：When you walked into the room, it felt like you walking into a public bathroom. Metal 'wall' blocked the bathroom area from the front door. No fridge or microwave. Small, small, parking lot. Pool not located in a very 'private' secure area, or very big even though it went from 3 feet to 9 feet deep.

Our room was on the street side and very noisy with traffic. The towels were small and indicated signs of wear. The air conditioning unit was mounted in an existing window opening and sealed with tape which left gaps. The air conditioning unit was so noisy we didn’t get much sleep. Glad to leave the next morning! Was over rated.
