Review 1：Location is excellent, close to Church, beach, ocean, boardwalk, and all events at Convention Center and Freedom Park. Staff are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful.
Review 2：It was a bit run down, but clean. I can't complain for the price. It was a great deal!
Review 3：The lady at the desk, Joanne, went above and beyond to help us. She upgraded us to a room facing the ocean. She looked up restaurants for us to go to and actually called them to make sure they were open. It's nice to see good customer service still exist today.
Review 4：I arranged for 2 rooms for 4 nights each and another for 3 nights, but realized over a week ahead that one of the 4 night rooms could only be used by us for 3. I had read booking.com's 50% refund policy for changes and cancellations, so I called the motel way ahead of arrival to ask how they managed refunds (for the single night cancellation). They said any change would have to be made at booking.com. Booking.com online did not allow me to make any change. At check-out time Diamond Crest refused me any refund at all for the unused night, saying I never should have booked online and should have called their office direct instead.
Review 5：Its proximity to Cape May and our group's activities there and elsewhere in South Jersey. It was inexpensive, despite their adamant refusal to honor the reservation change policy requested far in advance of arrival.
Review 6：Direct tv never worked. We were there during the hurricane, and we couldn't even watch anything on tv. Kept flicking off. We told the lady at the front desk several times, and she stated nothing could be done

Review 11：I liked the idea of being able to cook outside the motel on the grills with patio seating if you don't want to cook inside the motel. The rooms are already furnished with pots,utensils and a standard refrigerator. The location is really close to where the bike rentals are and besides the beach they even have a playground for smaller kids. The staff Is great. Say Hello to Pam and Sue they really looked out for us.

Review 14：The only thing was that when we were there it rained 3inches in 20 minutes. The A/C unit was not properly put in and water came into our room but the motel is undergoing some upgrades currently and that I'm sure won't be a problem once they're all done remodeling the rooms.

Review 55：Having considered that we were only going to use this place as a base and therefore seemed a bit daft paying silly amounts to stay at the alternatives, I reconsidered upon arrival! I was reluctant to park our lovely new Audi outside as it was like a car graveyard and I didn't want it damaged. I don't want to appear a snob at this point but paying $170 a night to stay here, I'd have preferred to stay inland a bit and book a Hilton (of which I certainly won't compare this place to). I can't for the life on me understand how they can charge this much for a room that has no iron/ironing board, no hair dryer and have rust stains on the door to the room in addition to the beds being like concrete and the free wifi pretty much non existent. The only great thing that I can say about this place is the location, which is a 2 minute walk from the beach. All of this culminated in us leaving a day early as we couldn't put up with this any longer and upon informing the check out woman on reception, I was told that we should have informed them of the issues and during my complaining she decided to answer the phone! No apologies, no offer of refund or gesture of goodwill for the terrible experience which pretty much summed things up for us! Read into this as you will and before the management claim that my name isn't on the register, it was booked in my girls name so don't try that escape route to fob off future customers!

When you pulled up the button for the shower, half the water came out shower head & other half came out spigot. Room smelled moldy. Asked for additional pillows & was told there was only 6 pillows per room ?!?! & the entire place was booked so they couldn't take them from other rooms. 2 of the pillows were completely flat.

Review 67：I didn't appreciate when I arrived my refrigerator stopped working. and the ice machine wasnt working at that it also charged a 25 cents fee. Our room was only vaccumed once when I asked the cleaning staff to vaccum another particular day and it wasn't done.

Review 69：If you take a room with a king bed....there is no coffee pot, coffee is available in the office, but the office does not open until 8 am. I wish I would have known that! King rooms are over the office, so there is no place to hang wet beach things! One towel rack in the bathroom.

Review 77：However, the inside is a different story! The rooms are much smaller than you anticipate. The a/c is a window unit in the back room so the door between rooms has to stay open in order to cool off the front room. The bathroom door wouldn't lock properly. The refrigerator door couldn't be opened very wide because it sits directly on a carpeted floor -and it's just a large dorm size fridge. The beds are awful! They are thin mattresses that are hard as rocks - there's no difference in the mattresses on the double beds vs the sofa pull out - both terrible! The vellum blanket they leave you for the sofa bed had hair all stuck to it which was gross! And there's no clock or phone or anything in the room - I had never stayed anywhere that didn't have those so that was odd to me! And the 2 tv's are old school square, maybe 40 inches (if you're lucky) TV's that run off universal remotes so there's no guides of any kind.
Review 78：The location of this hotel is great! The beach is just a short walk away with only a play park in between so it can be seen from all balconies (granted it's a side view). The pool set up and the BBQ grills & tables were an excellent asset.

Only the key lock on the door worked...the night lock was missing half. 1 inch gap around door. Towel stuffed around transim. No telephone. Bare wires. Peeling cabinets. Information notebook not updated since 2010. Several light fixtures didn't work. Limited channels on tv.

Review 93：the day clerck was very helpfull and friendly. I had a trailer and she went out of her way to find a parking space for me. Your maintaince man carried my stuff into and out to my car, with a smile. I'm handycap and I needed a wheel chairand a transfer bench. The nite clerk was excellent. After her shift ended at midnite, she drove my wife down to the convention ctr to retrieve my keys from my motorcycle, because because I was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The day clerk is Pat, the nite clerk is Joeann, and I do not know the name ot the maintaince man. All three are excellant. They are keepers.
Review 94：Older motel across in great location conveniently across the street from the beach and fabulous bike rental facility. Only $8 for 2 hours single bike. Boardwalk is a mile away but the riding paths are paved and very bike friendly, no matter your age. Motel is in desperate need of new furnishings, carpet and bathroom upgrade. Rooms smell old, musty (bring candles and spray). Probably won't stay here again but for $50/night end of Sept. it really was convenient. Quiet area and very close to Cape May. Opt for Wildwood Crest, beach isn't a mile wide to the water and it's convenient 10 min ride to Cape May, no traffic at all on this end of town.

Review 104：I loved having a two room suite and a full size refrigerator. There is also plenty of room outside: a second floor deck, a big pool area, and a BBQ deck. Across the street is a park with a playground, a bike rental, and the beginning of the bike trail that runs along the beach. Even though there are lots of motels and condos around, it is a quiet area away from the boardwalk.
Review 105：The location was fantastic and the staff so helpful and nice. Such good value for the money. Very close to Cape May and its great restaurants. Walking is great fun because everything is close by. The pool is cozy and heated. Plenty of chairs for sitting.

Review 144：I have stayed at this motel for years and the past few years have been a disappointment. The eating area was used as a bar from the early evening until close to midnight. The families were loud and were allowed to take over each night. Of course the rooms face that area and we couldn't even enjoy sitting out in front of our rooms because of the noise and people going back and forth for more food and booze. I think there should be some strict rules about refraining from this type of behavior and it should be enforced. There were a couple of nights when I wanted to call the cops!!
Review 145：Location is directly across from the ocean. New picnic tables and comfortable seats and 3 grills available for families to cook out and eat comfortably. It's right by the pool, which is very nice and maintained each day. Maid staff is very accommodating and do a great job of keeping the room clean on a daily basis.
