Reviews for Magellan's Passage
Review 1:From the time of arrival to the time of departure. Friendly and great service. Spent our honeymoon weekend there and was provided with petals all over and sparkling wine.
Review 2:The bathroom door has a glass window which doesn't give you the privacy.
Review 3:The staff were just excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. The ocean view out of the balcony is just breathtaking.
Review 4:Wow, what a place! We had the honeymoon suite, highly, highly recommend it to everyone. Awesome room on two floors with a huge private sundeck overlooking False Bay and splendid to sit down and watch the sunset and the stars at night, drinking a beer or wine :) Let me also personally thank Darwin and his team, who made us really feel welcome! Darwin is a professional cook, so he cooked for us a special dinner (yellowtail fish and cheesecake). We were really spoiled, this was really our best stay in the 2 weeks we spent in South Africa.
Review 5:Leaving
Review 6:Stunning B&B. Well designed and beautifully decorated. Professionally run by Darwin and his team. We have stayed at many B&B's and this is the best.
Review 7:It was a bit pricey and a car is essential.
Review 8:Excellent location with stunning views of False Bay, particularly from the top deck and a really lovely cooked breakfast. Staff all very polite and helpful, would definitely recommend this accommodation and will stay again.
Review 9:Nothing: simply perfect.
Review 10:This is a fantastic place. The view on the bay is incredible, the staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast was great, location is optimal to explore Cape of Good Hope. Penguins are a must see.
Review 11:The design of the hotel is such that guestrooms are spacious while public rooms feel intimate. The whole is elegant & comfortable and Darwin & his staff are friendly & helpful. We particularly appreciated the eco-friendly ethos as explained in the welcome brochure
Review 12:We couldn't stay longer
Review 13:The view from our room was beautiful, the room itself was large and well furnished, lots of space. The food we had was delicious. We stayed on the last 2 nights of our holiday, it was a great way to end.
Review 14:Nothing!
Review 15:The view, superb! Breakfast was good. Location was good, near the penguins. The lodge must be visited by car, because the walk up was killing :-)
Review 16:The interior was exquisite. With a boat sailor feel on a luxury liner. And then u see the ocean and Mountains.hospitality was to satisfaction. Amazing food and management. Cleaning staff were all also very friendly.
Review 17:You would have to be fit to walk back to the place from the beach as it is at the top of the hill. Samuel made sure this was not an issue as he was always available for helping pick us up. Of course being at the top of the hill means you get the best view. Totally negates any issue.
Review 18:The place is so beautifully decorated with all things nautical. The owners must have spent a fortune. We had the bridal suite. It was amazing with a second level giving great views of the water and mountains. Samuel made us so welcome and dropped us off at a restaurant and picked us up later. The penguins are just at the bottom of the road so a great place to see them. The bar and lounge are top quality. Did not feel like a guest house but rather a relaxed film star level private villa.
Review 19:Amazing staff, very friendly and hands-on. The location is divine the views to are die for! A wonderful experience in every aspect, we'd visit again in a heartbeat.
Review 20:Wi-Fi was down but the staff were doing everything possible to have it fixed. Minor detail in an otherwise amazing experience!
Review 21:The location is hard to beat with views stretching as far as the eye can see over False Bay, the rooms are very comfortable - modern and airy. The breakfasts are truly delicious and the service is excellent on all counts. Cannot recommend highly enough!
Review 22:We only stayed one night, would have been great to stay another.
Review 23:We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was an amazing experience. Darwin was a great host, the location and views of the bay from the guest house are breathtaking. You can go on a hiking trail behind the lodge. Breakfast was great too
