Review 1：Bed. So uncomfortable. when i saw it i thought it was a piece of plywood covered with bedding, that's how flat it looked. Really Guys?? ...Whether you charge $76. or $125 per night the Bed needs to be comfortable. The bedding needs to be more inviting as well. You have the property, its a great location, lovely staff. Your almost there.

Review 2：When i first saw the building i thought it was a little strange but when you walk in it looks like a very nice hotel. The set up is perfect to give you bragging rights to say its resembles a crown plaza or Sheraton property. its in town, close to store and restaurants, actually there is a restaurant on property. Nice to have a little fridge, microwave in room.

Review 3：Restaurant has no gluten free options, other than salads. Disappointed in this, as well as the way the rooms were set up in the hotel. Not a fan of having the window in my room face into the hotel and be so close to the balcony, not a very great feeling.

Review 5：Breakfast was truly awful...at no cost, it was overpriced. Workers were washing down equipment, rolls were stale, milk was sour, orange juice (or what was passed off as OJ) was undrinkable.

Review 16：The lobby was clean and in nice shape. They had a nice continental breakfast but kept the lights low- making it kind of dreary in the room. The staff was courteous and friendly.

Review 17：Room switch. I was supposed to get a double bed instead i got a king. I was told i was part of third party reservation. Hotel needs to up date TV'S. and appearance.

Review 18：Dark lobby, completely incompetent staff, computers down, derelicts smoking outside the lobby door, the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, dirty, horrible experience very overpriced. I have never been forced to sign a pre-authorization for a hotel room. The amount was also excessive - $175 for a room costing $99. I was told I wouldn't be charged this amount but that was a lie as it showed up on my bank account. Horrible.

Review 20：My room was above lobby It can be loud in front of me was elevator, people got to walk all way around to find it, causing some noise! The breakfast was 88% bread not my type. Restaurant was dead all time, try food was fresh my waiter took wrong instructions so I got all wrong, good for drinks only!

Review 21：During my staying was very quiet! Maids was none English speaking but I am multi languages I spoke little for my needs. Place were clean and well kept. Deco was old but restouring it.

Review 24：The front desk didn't have our reservation on file and overcharged us for our room. Also, the ac wasn't on in our room and it took over 2 hours for the heat and humidity to dissipate. Considering there was the same room for a slightly higher price at the Ethan Allen hotel I kept kicking myself for not going there.

Review 25：Initially gave us a smoking room that looked like a crime scene had taken place on the rug. Had to go down and ask for another room. Got it rather quickly but had to wait for it to be cleaned. Also noisy at night - middle of the night. Many rooms, including ours was open to the lobby - poor and weird design and people were heard talking at all hours of the night every night. Sub-par breakfast most of the time - rotten bananas the first day, none the second. Dark cold room to eat in, weird vibe.

Review 27：So many let me try…The reservationist told me to "park in the frontof the building, take your chances" I asked "Don't youhave a parking garage?" she said oh yea around back! 50'S Tv,poor quality, hard to see. Sheets looked like they had been slept on.Towels were old, discolored, breakfast was minimal, when I asked"Where is the Ice Machine, receptionist did not know, told me to gointo breakfast room and ask, I did, they said they didn't know. Iwas very concerned about my personal possessions, so I told thereceptionist "I do not want Houskeeping going into my room",she said Ok, and wrote it down. When I re entered my room 5 hours later,my room was accessed by Houskeeping, took 2 dirty towels, and a washcloth from the bathroom, they did nothing else. I Blasted thereceptionist, but what good did it do. Appears no possessions weretaken. Overall this is an old hotel, never updated, It should not be onBooking.com, if so is a 1 star hotel

Review 30：Located next to a Stop and Shop grocery store, and CVS pharmacy across street, walking distance to these and entry to Western CT State University. Breakfast offers fresh fruit and hard cooked egg options besides usual cold cereal, toast, jams and butter/bread.

Review 31：The wifi was terrible couldn't browse for more than 10 minutes at a time. Our booking included breakfast which we were never informed of where and when breakfast was. We decided to go for a room with a spa tub in it, sounds relaxing right? If a jet engine amount of noise is relaxing to you, then sure. Other than that everything was a little outdated, we didn't care much about the old tv's and such, but some might.

Review 37：I had no idea it was a hotel at first. I couldn't find the entrance. I finally saw it the second time I went by (it was at night). Then, when I went to check in, the hotel's records didn't match mine. They had me checking in the following night! I showed them the email confirmation. They were all out of 2 double bed rooms for the night, but they upgraded us to a suite. I appreciated that, but my 17 year old son had to sleep on a pull out sofa bed, so I would have preferred what we booked.

Review 39：I complained about poor wi fi reception in my room which resulted in an adjustment to the final bill, also lost my prescription glasses and they called me back when they were found and arranged to mail them to me that same day. Very pleased with customer service.

Review 40：This hotel has clearly seen better days. The Internet connection is terrible, and things are a bit run down. Right off the highway, so pretty noisy. The hotel seems to be trying to save money on amenities and on upkeep.

Review 42：Comfortable room and a quiet night's sleep. I liked that the bedroom was separated from the hallway with the sitting room and had a closed door. This eliminated any noise coming from outside and enabled 1 person to sleep while the other could watch TV.

Review 43：Lobby music was so loud we could hear it in our room and had to call the desk after 11 pm to ask them to turn it off. I could hear the phone ring at the main desk from our room... all night. The bead was so hard it felt like a slab of concrete and the pillows were lumpy.

Review 51：The hotel entry smells like an ash tray. The staff was very strict about a 3 pm check-in although we were traveling from out of state and registered as part of a wedding which began at 3:30. The staff have us an extremely hard time and made us feel uncomfortable for booking on Booking.com rather than directly through the hotel. They tried to deny us access to the hotel shuttle due to this low booking priority, which was included as part of the wedding arrangements. The hotel also allows large dogs, which I did not notice at time of booking. The dog owners did not have control of their pets, keeping them on long leashes and allowing them to approach other guests in the lobby area. The manager or owner ( female) was extremely rude to us multie times on the day we checked in and was the complete opposite the next day when we checked out - sweet as honey. This was unfortunate because I regularly book hotels for conferences at work. I am always looking at possible options when I travel for personal reasons. I will always choose to book at Ethan Allen for work groups over the Maron. It took us 25 minutes to check out the next day as the attendant made a mistake, had to put in and take out the transaction from our computer twice. The restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday which was inconvenient. The continental breakfast consisted of 2 cold cereal choices, instant oatmeal packets, whole oranges, hard boiled eggs, orange juice, coffee, and white plain bagels that could have been frozen. There were no hot food choices other than the oatmeal and no menu from which to order otherwise. The floors and carpet were very sticky.
